Joe Biden wants to take one of the great American success stories of the last several decades — and drive it into the ground.
He would turn his back on the stupendous wealth represented by proven reserves of oil and gas in this country.
Rather than focusing on producing cheap, abundant energy — a key ingredient to human progress through all of human history — he would embark on the fool’s errand of trying to adjust the world’s thermostat 80 years from now.

If Joe Biden wins on November 3rd, look for a HUGE price jump at the gas pumps on November 4th. It wasn't that long ago when this country suffered through $4 gas under Obama and I really don't want to see that again.

No matter that we'll have no fossil based fuel for our military tanks, jeeps, trucks, etc. We'll buy electrics from Tesla. We'll have the needed recharge stations on the battlefields. Our enemies will stand down while we recharge.
We'll use solar panels to fuel our fighter jets, bombers, choppers. etc.

The "Green New Deal" appeals to the left and elites since it presents a huge opportunity for illegal profit an power.

They don’t have to anything but increase gas tax by $1/gal every year for four years and credit the money to electric vehicle purchases.

Every post is spot on, and climate change activism is really about control: how you travel, what you can eat, and nearly every aspect of life would be controlled by the government, while China and others do NOT abide.

Buy why is Biden attacking the oil industry?
Superficial reason: to gain the favor of the greenies.
But why do the greenies hate the oil industry?
Because they believe that atmospheric CO2 is driving global warming, and fossil fuels are the main contributor to atmospheric CO2.
Buy why do they believe what they do?
Because a very small group of agenda-driven bureaucrats from 3rd-world countries realized that here was a way to coerce enormous cash reparations from developed nations. It certainly was not because the so-called 'science' of AGW is settled.
For example: no one in the AGW advocates has yet been able to explain the causes of the last ice ages, or why the observed modern warming is not just a continuation of the same global warming the world has seen for the last 14,000 years (end of last global glaciation).
For example: no one in the AGW advocates has yet been able to explain which concentration of atmospheric CO2 is optimal....as it so happens, higher CO2 means more plants, and more plants means more crops and less human starvation.

The really good news: few of those outside the oil industry are aware that the oil and gas produced by the current fracking boom is but a part of American oil and gas reserves which can be thought of as part of an enormous 'resource pyramid', with conventional oil at the top (least amount, lowest cost to produce, largely depleted), grading to unconventional oil at the bottom (vastly greater amounts, most expensive to produce, much of which is untapped).
As the cost of gasoline and electricity increases as a linear function, the amount of unconventional oil and gas which becomes economically viable to produce increases geometrically: e.g., if price goes up 25%, volume of viable reserves goes up 50% to 100%.
As a consequence, America will be 'energy independent' for at least the next several centuries...depending, of course, on the price of gasoline and electricity.
Of course, Joe, in yet another stupid policy mistake having immense repercussions, would deny that God-given prosperity, and condemn America to energy poverty.

Oil powers our cars, trucks, trains, aircraft, ships and all other forms of transportation except a few recreational sailboats, 90+% have gas or diesel engines for maneuvering in harbor.
Gas powers our electrical grid, our industry and a lot of our chemical plants making polymers and tens of thousands of other needed products.
Anyone saying that they will end these industries has absolutely zero concept of what petroleum and gas are used for. My first job in undustry was a large "Chemicals and Plastics" company, and I learned that our product range was truly amazing, far more than I had known, and ALL rooted in oil and gas.
And "carbon pollution" is a myth, a fantasy, an invention of ignorant Luddite and Marxist minds seeking power.

Joe Biden would have you believe that only emissions from the US cause global warming while those from China sweeten the atmosphere.

Let's cut to the chase. If we don't produce oil, we are back to buying it from the ME, aren't we ?
Does his family get paid for that too ?
