For anyone with any perspective on American elections, it is clear that the polls do not entitle us to predict with any confidence the outcome of the current campaign. Many of the polls included in the average of polls on aggregator sites are really just the products of Democratic Party front organizations, such as Vox, Politico, Quinnipiac, Monmouth, and others whose chief function is to facilitate the Democratic media locker room cry that they’ve already won and the counting of the votes is practically superfluous. Open the beer kegs! The Trump tyranny is already over.
Trafalgar, the only poll that showed Trump winning four years ago, shows him winning again this year.

Not sure the Trafalgar poll factors in Democrat vote fraud. I'm still worried they will steal it; I know they will try.

Polls are useless. A poll should be a sample, a statistical means of estimating a population by examining a relatively small collection of examples. Such a sample must be randomly chosen to be representative. Random choice means that ALL of the sample is examined. It is incredibly easy to bias a sample. Polls to which all persons do not respond are not representative. Since the values from the non-responding persons are not known, they are not included in the computation. Most polls are done by telephone. Too many have Caller ID and simply do not answer if they do not recognize the calling number.
Forget polls, focus groups, and all that. They tell us nothing. The ballots counted on election day tell the story.

I hope that Mr. Black is right, and I think he is right - two sepearate channels.
FTA: writing about the Hollweird and Silly Valley folks:
"The implicit suggestion that because they are competent actors or computer geeks, they are necessarily astute political scientists, is demonstrable nonsense and such pretensions are nauseating to large numbers of voters.
Yes, definitely.

Black has a nice historical perspective and just seems fearful Trump will blow it. Interestingly the debate commission has announced they will silence mics to prevent interruptions... an unintended gift to Trump? Also, I disagree with Black in thinking Trump doesn't take advice. He certainly does. You will find him Thursday letting Biden hang himself. Easy enough work.

When you vote for President you are in effect voting for a coach who will pursue a certain political agenda, in this election either conservative, with Trump, that the country has had, as much as was politically possible, during the last four years. With Biden, right now it would be an extreme liberal crapshoot, as during the Democrat primaries Biden went along, about 100% with the extreme leftist and socialist Democrat political agenda that both Biden and the liberal media have been trying to obscure until past the election. If you have been paying attention, it is clear that Biden is suffering from irreversible age related declining cognitive abilities, and you can bet that the extreme leftist Democrats will push Biden to implement their their radical agenda, and if Biden, who does not know where he is much of the time balks in anyway, that Biden will be forced to by the extreme leftists to resign from the Presidency to clear the way for the extreme San Francisco socialist Kamala Harris to assume the Presidency.
People should vote for the political agenda of each candidate and forget the candidate’s personality, that really does not mean a hill of beans when it comes to really important issues.

A caller on Rush, the last one, yesterday made a point that Rush agreed was very interesting, and I was amazed had not been though of before.
Trump released his positive Wuhan diagnosis about six days after the debate. Is it possible that the President was a bit 'out of sorts' from the virus during the first debate? I know he tested negative, but I don't trust those tests to catch it early. There needs to be a fairly high level of virus to get a positive.
Just an interesting idea. He says he feels 'like 20 years younger' now, maybe more focus and better results in the second debate.

When Trump first announced his run for President I couldn't stand the Man. Hubby and his friends were so hyped up over him when all I saw was a Brash New Yorker who was anything but humble. By the time I needed to Vote, I was all in for Trump. The man worked so hard, had so many Rallies (which I watched) that by the end, I thought he deserved The Presidency! I still thought he was Brash, but I knew he was the man to run this country. I hope there are many voters out there, this time around, who may have the same doubts about Trump, but who watch those Rallies and see how hard trump is working to get his message out (while Biden sits in his Basement smug that he has this Race in the Bag)! I hope trump can win over those voters who maybe would have stayed home because they didn't like Biden enough to vote at all! We need Trump AGAIN to turn this country around after Covid! I am confident he can do just that!

What's with the digs on President Trump, Conrad? The man pardoned you.
You must have been at a different debate, I saw Biden interrupt Trump repeatedly starting at Trump's second question and response. I saw Chris Wallace totally in the tank for Biden, both in the nature and tone of the questions and in how he moderated--interrupting Trump, letting Biden call the President a clown, stopping Trump from asking about Hunter Biden, etc.
The debate was totally a gang-up on Trump affair.

polls are strictly the actions of someone who has a political statement to make and nothing more. the big man is the only pollster I believe in because he has not lied to us during his entire time in political notoriety. Diogenes you have found your honest man, you can give up the search.

An article that goes over the same things that so many article go over, the polls and whether they can be trusted, the characteristics of the dems, the characteristics of Trump, blah, blah, blah. We have long known all this stuff.
Trump won in 2016. Hillary was a stronger opponent and her campaign more organized than Biden's. So WHAT is different NOW? All the differences are in Trump's favor. He has a strong record that a majority of people give him credit for. He has stronger support from Blacks and Hispanics. Women are not enamored of sniffy Joe or his heels up partner. Despite the dems desperate push, more people think Trump has done OK in dealing with COVID. Most people KNOW they got a tax break. People are very aware that Trump squished ISIS. Voters are NOT happy with the riots or the Leftists running the dem party. The media is discredited and the Deep State is significantly disrupted. Trump is in the White House not BO so a lot of the dems sneaky tricks can't get any traction. Enthusiasm for Trump is through the roof and Biden's "rallies" are of his own people and select media.
You can't put a measurement, most of which are disputable at best, on most of these things except they all move in Trump's favor, who WAS the winner in 2016. Yes, the dems will cheat. Let's hope they get caught or their actions are not successful enough to overcome Trump's momentum.
