I recently chatted with a veteran political observer who asked my opinion on a matter confounding him. Apparently, this observer had conversed with an equally politically savvy person, and the pair had shared a puzzlement over the dearth of audiences at former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign appearances. They were further befuddled by the media treating this as if it were perfectly normal. Ultimately, both deemed the 2020 presidential election the oddest not only in their lifetimes, but in all of American history. They felt something was missing, (Snip)
I opined that the Democrats are running a “gaslight election.” What was missing from the Democratic Party was a real candidate and

FTA:
Whatever they claim, one electoral maxim is beginning to bite the Democrats in their proverbial nether regions: voters want to vote for something.
This something can be a candidate; this something can be an issue; but this something cannot be nothing. This is especially true for independents, who can’t stand either party. Hence Biden’s ads where he recites vacuous platitudes, as if he’s running to be America’s life coach.

One thing I've noticed is that Biden and his team have done nothing to try to gain votes from anywhere but the most liberal of people.
And, even with them Joe will say divisive things that might turn off potential supporters.
Like, "then vote for somebody else."
Or, "then you ain't black."

I hope his analysis is correct.
Clearly ALL the media is arrayed against the President. They invent Fake News by the hour.
All the media and the Big Tech 'social media' (a phenomenon that I have never even considered being part of) is also doing all it can to protect Biden by closing off the channels to information about Biden's massive, obvious corruption. And the social media giants endlessly work to prevent Trump's information from getting out to voters.
So much massive corruption, all totalitarian leftist. Clearly, a huge portion of the "elites" have sold the country off to China, Ukrainian oil and gas barons, and to the global corporations who have NO allegiance to anything but money, and who find 'nation states' who do not just bend to their will with bribe money to be very inconvenient, and to be destroyed.
President Trump is all there is between middle class, sane, normal America and these forces of darkness trying to get their final grip on the levers of power, NEVER to be relinquished short of a literal civil war, not some semi-peaceful changing of the guard, but a real 1860s version.
They say a country votes their way into communism/socialism but you have to shoot your way out. I hope we don't go down that path.

Actually the dearth of 'audience' was already obvious before he became the nominee! Just the other day the point was driven home more forcefully when no one showed up, zippy, zilch, nada 'audience'!! Then his entourage rolls in. Out crawls a befuddled, stupid, aggressive and combative jerk who probably does not even know where he is, but ready to challenge a voter to go to the back and do push ups!!!

I'm wondering if the Biden handlers are purposely keeping people from attending the Biden rallies to keep Biden from getting the Chinese virus, or to present a false narrative to Trump supporters to make them think Trump is going to win by a landslide. There has to be a reason other than the obvious reason that Biden voters are more afraid of getting the virus than Trump voters. Biden is playing to the media, and that's it, while Trump has thousands of cheering people at every event where he appears. The latest poll trumpeted by the media is that Biden has a 11 point lead in the polls. I just find this hard to believe. Of course, I found it hard to believe that people would vote for Obozo not once, but twice.

Don't ask Joe a question, he'll call you a 'lying, dog-face pony soldier'......a pretty bizarre blurt to a young woman.
I think this is why Joe avoids rallies. The last time he walked into a union shop, he got into a yelling match with a worker over guns, and came across as an idiot. The videos of both event are out there. He can't be trusted to interact with voters, he goes off the rails too easily, seems to now have a hair-trigger temper if challenged by "underlings" and the 'great unwashed' who he does not respect.

The other face to this is that Biden and Harris are both expendable. Harris would be sent packing first. and then Biden can be dispatched at their earliest convenienc just think Nixon and Agnew

#5, I have a relative who has early onset Alzheimer’s. She can’t handle being around more than a couple of people at a time. THAT might be the reason there’s almost no one at Finger’s events. His handlers are afraid that he will wig out worse than he already does.

I had to up vote #8 just for that interesting political calculus. One of my many thoughts was that the Dems knew they were going to lose and choose BIden and Harris are throwaways. But to win with them, take out Harris first, then remove Dementia Joe and replace him with the new VP, that's political novel stuff right there...and totally believable.

According to reports, 25 million have already "voted". This concerns me. Maybe I'm wrong.

Liberal Democrats such as Joseph Biden offer the electorate the world, but once they are elected give their supporters crumbs. Remember the Obama-Biden “Hope and Change” agenda that never rose up minority communities and only ended up giving some minority people “Obama Phones”!
When it comes to taxes, the liberal Democrats always say that they will only increase taxes on the rich who are not paying their fair share, but there are not enough rich people out there allowing the Democrats to squeeze enough money out of them to defray the costs of proposed Democrat social and welfare programs, so the tax increases have always been extended to heavily tax the vast middle class across America, as the Democrats know that is where there is big money that can be taxed.
The Democrats can’t go lower down the economic totem pole to obtain revenue as those people are exempt from paying income taxes and only file tax returns to obtain tax refunds and a number of different types of tax credits.

#9, just for my education, can you explain "can't handle" a bit more? I haven't ever had to deal with this disease, so have very limited info that I consider reliable.

Obama invented the gaslight campaign: he carefully avoided announcing any polarizing positions on any major issues, and instead allowed his widely disparate supporters to project onto him whatever were their wildest dreams. In some cases, he simply lied, and flipped his position to a much more liberal one after he got elected (e.g., traditional marriage).
With a complicit media, Biden is simply repeating Obama's tactics. And until someone is allowed to ask him the tough questions, such tactics seem to be working well for him.
