This week, we’ll talk about the death of comedy – it’s sacrificed itself on the altar of liberalism – as well as the real plot behind Nancy’s 25th Amendment ploy and also ACB’s fashion sense. No Laughing Allowed Someone associated with Saturday Night Live back when your grandpa was frugging to Foghat noted that eventually the cultural avant garde becomes the garde, but our glorious kultur klowns have further devolved into the rear guard. Their job is to wring every drop of originality or dissent out of the rich tapestry that was America, and force us into a grim conformity of politically correct platitudes and obeisance to their pagan demigods.

Indeed it has. I watch old SNL skits and they are so funny your stomach hurts from laughing. I have DVD's of all the Mel Brooks movies, the Three Stooges shorts and the Hangover trilogy. I love to laugh but woke comedy is an oxymoron.

I was listening to an interview with an exorcist many years ago in which he pointed out that demons despise humor and laughter because they don't understand it and can't deal with it. Hmmmmm What does that say about the Commucrats and their willing accomplices?

Stand up comics, that used to be huge at universities, will all tell you that there is no longer an audience for their craft. The college students compete as to who can be the most offended. Comedy has always been edgy, but now it is as dead as free speech.

“ There was a time when the rich and powerful were the targets of humor”
So true. When I lived in the Socialist Republic of Romania in the early 80’s I must have heard a thousand jokes about Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu. They were whispered in private situations, but they were still spread throughout the country at great personal risk to the tellers. However, that was before the internet and the cancel culture when one citizen could destroy the life of another.

As far as I'm concerned the worst are that Trevor Noah piece of dirt, and even worse than him is that contemptible wench Samantha Bee. Neither one is even remotely funny; they are just mean and trying to disguise it as humor. The way she pulls her elbows in to her sides, holds her knees together and leans toward the audience when shes being especially nasty is infuriating just to look at.

I watched SNL for the first time in a long time last Saturday. Bill Burr was the guest host and Jack White was the musician. Bill Burr's opening set was pretty funny. Maybe things are making a turn for the better.

I laughed out loud at FTA: but why beat a dead donkey?
PS: If you need a very hearty laugh, visit the website of Dry Bar Comedy, a little club circuit begun in Provo, Utah. The comics who play there are just funny, not topical.

It's amusing how the nasty, woke comedians flatter themselves by thinking that they brave rebels fighting against 'The Man' when they are actually part of the establishment today. They are now unfunny conformists of the prog culture.

I haven't watched SNL since Belushi passed. There is still some good comedy out there, but you have to look for it. I find a lot of good comedians on YouTube!

I confess, I'm a rube. Not only have I not had kombucha, I had to do a search to find out what it was.

comedy hasn't been the same since they allowed these potty mouthed characters to bloviate on the stage and convince everyone that vulgarity is comedy.

#7, Bill Burris a funny guy but the SNL crowd is not his audience. The result was that much of his stuff fell flat. I loved that he went after white women (his wife is black). Again, funny stuff that didn't work in NY.

#2: the interview with the exorcist confirms why liberals are always so POed all the time and have no sense of humor whatsoever.
Even when Hussein was pRESIDENT those on the left were continually morose.
For the left the glass is always either half empty or entirely empty. They are a singularly unhappy group. That is no way to go through life.
