When Breonna Taylor died in a hail of police bullets, she joined the pantheon of Black Lives Matter martyrs, men such as George Floyd, Michael Brown, Jacob Blake, and Trayvon Martin. Initially, she seemed anomalous because she was not engaged in criminal activity or resisting arrest when she died. New evidence, though, shows that, in addition to her relationship with a drug dealing ex-boyfriend (which is what caught the police’s attention), the boyfriend who shot the police was also a drug dealer. Taylor hung out with the wrong people.

Very sad that our black community feels it's necessary to elevate such criminal-hangers-on and criminals into martyr idol status. It would be like having white people idolize Charles Manson and his "girls". Say her name...Leslie Van Houten, Patricia Krenwinkle? Really?
You're better than that. Stop this nonsense.

All of those people died because they didn’t have the brains to do two simple things. Obey the law and cooperate with the police. It ain’t rocket science.

I'm sorry she died. But when you turn to the dark side and lose your job because you run with drug dealers and criminals, you and deciding your own fate. She was where she was because she made bad choices. Your boyfriend starts shooting blindly at cops thru a door/wall? Are you expecting that the cops surrender? Dumb.

This incessant criminal-shaming by the right must stop! Are criminals not people, too. What's wrong with having a criminal boyfriend anyway? Has Andrea never watched "Love After Lockup? Have we no heart?

It's a shame that Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by standing near her boyfriend while he was shooting a pistol at police officers, but as Forest Gump said, "Stupid is as Stupid
does." Both were being deadly stupid; she knew he was holding a pistol and he knew she was standing next to him.

Too little, too late. The legend is carved in stone. Her sainthood is permanent, no matter her past.

after the shooting that night, the police did not search the apartment, so we don't know what Breona might have been holding for either of her boyfriends.

Is it true that she was fired from her job after a dead body showed up in her rental car a year or two ago? And didn't her boyfriend say it was she who fired at police?

We are guilty by association now? Show me where that is in our system of law. Its not there. How many of us have known someone that exhibits criminal behavior? Is that a killable offense? If so, most of us would be in danger. What if the bystander had been a 5 year old kid instead of an adult? Not buying this.
The police started shooting at a shooter when they did not have a clear shot, and killed an unarmed bystander.

There is evidence she was also the bag man for that boyfriend as well. Seems that it is a trend now to use women to hold the money, hoping that the police won't catch on to their game. She made a messy bed, and reaped the wrinkles of very bad consequences. When the black community ignores the criminal actions of those they martyr, they are only hurting themselves in the long run.
Most of society doesn't admire thugs and criminals. Instead they usually expect those people to reap what they sow. We do rise in anger at genuine injustice, but shooting first at cops who are feeling under attack right now isn't it.
Old saying of can't do the time then don't do the crime certainly applies here. This is one of the end results of decades of brainwashing about how they don't need to take personal responsibility for their own behavior.

It was dark in that hallway. the boyfriend, mr wonderful, started shooting. Even tho the police announced their presence. How do we now that mr.wonderful did not use his sweetheart as a shield. It was dark. Ya think mr. wonderful is going to tell the truth about this. I would think that at least one little bullet would have hit the boyfriend. could he have been saved because she was in front of him, being held there. sorry, no one would have been shot, if the hall light had been turned on, and the door opened and the warrant served. the boyfriend fired first. end of story

Breaking the laws will certainly get you involved with police. Resisting arrest, say by shooting a cop, isn't going to be ignored, guraranteed - and 99.9% change that bullets are going to come back at you. Standing next to your drug dealer boyfriend while he starts a gunfight with the police is world class bad judgement.
She arranged her own demise. A common situation, and very predictable.

Nice try, #13, I kept looking for the sarcasm symbol. If a group of al Qaeda was blazing away at you with AK-47s, would you skip the one in the middle who might have been under-age or female or hadn't been to terrorist training camp? If so, you wouldn't make it out alive. If you are standing with a gang or a group of terrorists, yes, you are guilty by association.

In the eyes of liberals, hanging out with low lifes makes you a hero. Liberalism is a psychopathic ideology. Liberals honor and celebrate cop killers, butchers, rapists, child-sniffers and every sort of human scum.

Life is all about choices. She made a number of really bad choices.
Even on Gunsmoke, when there is about to be a gunfight.....people get out of the line of fire.

You have to ask why blacks make criminals saints but never say a word about that happens in Chicago.
Taylor's family isn't happy with the $12 million and still wanting more.
Side note: You would be hard pressed to find a later photo of TM with a gold grill in his mouth versus the baby faced photo. Thanks to Obola, his crime records in South FL were hidden.
