Most of the nation was stunned by the news that Donald and Melania Trump had contracted COVID. (snip) in the likely event he fully recovers, prepare for the beginning of the end to this “COVID-crisis”.
Fact is, most of the country is sick of the hysteria. Most simply want to live their lives, intelligently with caution, and return back to what we all remember was a decent life. (snip)
this has now becoming the issue. A way-too-drunk-on-its-own-power big state/media complex is telling you what you need to do, preventing you from

Ah, but the COVID hysteria unleashed and reveled the tyrant in many blue state Governors...
sort of like a vampire smelling human blood- these Gov won’t let go of over reach..
Whitmer was smacked down by Michigan Supreme Court.. she still believes she should have emergency power control..
Hysteria- way to manipulate- will mutate like the virus.

I am sick to death of this. I have talked to a nurse practitioner who told me most cases she has seen are mild or asymptomatic. And yet I have to wear the bloody mask to work, the building has arrows all over the place telling us walk on this side, and almost every place I want to visit is closed "out of an abundance of caution" which is fast becoming the phrase I hate almost as much as "social distancing". Every festival in my home town has been cancelled and some scolds are talking about no Thanksgiving and no Christmas. At least I can go to church but even then, there are no get togethers after Mass.
I will admit to being quite depressed about it all. And it's just so freaking unnecessary for the vast majority of us.

And now there is a push for the debate to be virtual. Does anyone notice that they didn't push for the Pence-Harris debate to be virtual? They wanted everyone to see Harris but now their actions are showing that they really, really think Biden is weak when insisting on a virtual debate.

I am sick of being made to feel like I live in West Korea! The Deep State Left has learned that: if a convincing and powerful enough Boogie Man is created, Americans can be persuaded to spend their lives wearing a Yellow Star. In fact, were it not disrespectful to Jews, I wish someone made masks displaying the Yellow Star of David. Would make a great point.

I am sick to death of my governor, Baby Andy Beshear (D, son of former governor) who is is doing his best to keep us locked down. No church, no meetings larger than 10 an d on and on. We elected a slate of Republicans in 2018 plus Andy. If Mat Bevin was still here this would be over and we would be on our way back. But we still have whiny-pants.

I live in Florida. Our governor has opened up our State. There is no mask mandate, but many stores still require them. I think it will be a while before shoppers rebel against those stores! A lot of people are still not sure it's safe to leave their home without a mask. I do feel sorry for those of you who live in Blue States. Who knows how long it will be before your Governors allow you to freely go about your business. Our Governor used an Executive Order to open Florida. That meant that towns and cities in FL are not allowed to have their own rules! I think maybe that's what Trump needs to do. Executive Order to open the Country, all of it!!

Since lowering the hysteria hurts the dems, the next thing we know they will be saying Trump got covid on purpose. These people are unbalanced!

I also live in Florida (thank the good Lord!). I spent last week in the hospital and family was actually able to visit me!! Amazing difference from just a short time ago.
Meanwhile, my sister who was visiting flew back to the People’s Republik of Vermontistan and will need to self-isolate for two weeks unless she was tested for Kung Fluwhile down here.
This whole shebang has crossed from "ridiculous" into "ludicrous," and needs to be ended SOONER, rather then later!!

I think its going to take longer to rid ourselves of the mask mess. Many business owners may not want to be the among the first to do that as many sheeple may be reluctant to take the 'risk' and their competitors may make a subtle issue of it.
Plus, it may be harder than we think to break a habit we've been forced to adopt for nearly 300 days.

I noted that there was a mask burning party in some part of NY (IIRC.)
We should start having them everywhere. No more masks, except for those who need them for other medical issues!

I have heard nothing about how Melania is doing for 3 or 4 days. I hope all is well with her.

I just sold a motorcycle half an hour ago. Three folks came up to see it, I demoed the bike, we discussed it, and they paid, I did the paperwork. No handshakes, which I would have normally done before and after, but nobody with masks, no particular "social distancing". Cordial, sane, normal business meeting.
As they arrived I apologized, saying "I guess we aren't supposed to shake hands." The purchaser scowled and said, "Yeah, no problem, foolish stuff." and it was over.
The adults in Kansas are pretty much over this craziness.

If people are afraid of catching the virus they are more than welcome to continue wearing masks. People who are ill with compromised immune systems should also protect themselves. The rest of us should be able to determine for ourselves what is best for us sans mandates.
When I was a kid I lived through the polio scare. At that point I was too young to be afraid; my parents may have been concerned but neither seemed afraid or anxious to me. Of course, they were members of the WWII generation so maybe they were a bit stronger than the current crop of wusses we see now. I went to school as usual, my mother shopped as usual, we went to church as usual, and my dad worked as usual. I do not remember that any government disruption occurred. We got vaccinated calmly..... No fuss, no muss.
