Who wants to inform Chuck that a hearing is not required? He can’t block anything.

Oh, for Heaven's sake...Mitch, just call the vote. Let the Democrats vote—or don't vote. If you continue to cater and make them believe they are important to the confirmation, they will continue to throw tantrums; stomp around and bellow like old cows.

Someone told Chuck that going online for a Zoom or "Go To Meeting" conference can get you Computer Viruses. So he figures he will get Computer Covid if they do it 'virtually'.

Who cares what Schumer thinks, he's not in the majority.
It does not require the full Senate to vote either.

Whether a Democrat takes part in the hearing is a personal decision. Their taking part is not necessary, and the proceeding should go on. Democrats can choose to take part, or not. Other people should not be swayed by what Democrats decide.

I'm no expert on legislative procedures,, but Mitch is. And he can hold a vote without a committee report, or even hold a vote if the committee votes no on the nominee.
chuckie Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are playing dirty.

if mcconnell lets the democrats get away with this maneuver he should be strung up from the balcony in the senate hall. if he ever needs a shot of testosterone, it's now. why isn't anyone talking about the 3 Gorges Dam debacle happening in China?

Right Just skip the hearings and go to a vote. We already know what the democrats are going to say. We hear the same things no matter which nominee is in front of the committee if the are nominated by a Republican president, particularly, President Trump.

As the “newspaper of record”, the N.Y. Times reports, about ninety percent of the Covid 19 “positive” tests are False Positive. That means, they aren’t worth a durn. Why do them? Asking for or having one is asking for trouble.

Every day Americans go t work, the post office, the military, the police, doctors, nurses, grocery store workers and these Senators won't even go to work like so many other to do the Nation's business???????????? What a bunch of worthless cowards.
TRUMP goes to work at whatever risk. TRUMP takes experimental vaccine so they don't have to test it on us.
And others are correct, noting is required but a vote and that can be done in a respirator if necessary. They've carried ailing Senators in before to make a critical votes.

Democrat actions/threats like this are giving more credence to the conspiracy theory around the virus being given to Trump and Republican senators as an attempt to not only wind the election but stop the confirmation process of ACB.

When giving everyone China Virus doesn't work, will they simply begin shooting Republicans, since dead senators can't vote in the confirmation hearings (unlike dead Democrats in the general election...

Just goes to show how stupid the leading Democrats are operating. As if the Democrats fail to take part in the Senate proceedings they will be facilitating the confirmation proceedings going forward in a more rapid fashion, as the Republicans do not need any Democrat votes at the moment to confirm President Trump’s nomination of Judge Barrett.
