Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) wrote in a statement Friday that “no business should proceed” in the Senate, which would include the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, until the Senate understands the scope of the coronavirus spread in Washington, DC. Murphy released a statement after President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus, as Breitbart News reported. He contended every person in Congress needs to get tested to find out the scope of the spread of the coronavirus in the Capitol and no business should continue until everyone gets tested. This would include the confirmation of Judge Barrett

FTA: ~~"McConnell said he plans to move “full steam ahead” with the confirmation of Judge Barrett.
He continued, “Just finished a great phone call with @POTUS. He’s in good spirits and we talked business — especially how impressed Senators are with the qualifications of Judge Barrett.”~~

We should close the Senate just like they did after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. (Of course they didn't)

The President's entire Constitutional role in filling the Supreme Court vacancy has been completed. It is now entirely up to the Senate. So sorry, but no. Maybe they can try throwing something else against the wall and seeing if it sticks.

Note the child-like mentality. It's like demanding school be canceled if the principal is out for a few days.

The President makes the nomination. This has been done. Now it is off to the Senate. The President's illness has no bearing on the upcoming procedures to get this judge confirmed.

At least we know that the Dems are reliable - reliably and persistently evil. Perhaps since Biden is showing symptoms of dementia, “no business should proceed” at the DNC? The Barrett confirmation is the Dems' worst nightmare so break out the popcorn as the Dems clutch their pearls.

Thank you so much for your concern, Senator Murphy, but that would be a big fate stinking "no"!!!
But if you are so concerned about this virus, please feel free to stay home. You will do so much less damage that way!!!!!

Their impotence is becoming funny and an electoral detriment for the Left. More of this and Democrats won't bother to vote.

It's impossible to use a condom for what Sen. Murphy wants to do to himself, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't try, really hard.

Democrats don't work on a GOOD day-what's the difference here, Chris Murphy? Trump would work on his deathbed but you won't come out of your hole for anything, you lying lazy bottom feeding scum.

Has nothing to do with the Senate being able to come up solutions, after all, they allowed Comey to testify, under oath, the other day, right?

Sorry Senator Chris boy, COVID-19 doesn't stop you from doing your job just like all those people who have to work at the post office, military installations, court rooms, grocery stores, doctors offices, hospitals, schools and a thousand other folks. Just a ploy to delay SCOTUS hearings. What a stupid jerk trying to shirk his responsibility for the current state of affairs that makes a SCOTUS pick more important than the entire Senate or Congress. Democrats have brought this SCOTUS pox down upon themselves.
The good news for Democrats is that there may not be anymore debates so Biden can continue to hide in the basement from TRUMP and COVID-19.
