The debate? Trump was great,
Chris Wallace was a dreadful disgrace

Chris Wallace’s overt defense of Joe Biden throughout the debate on Tuesday night was so obvious, so blatant, he should be proscribed from ever “moderating” a debate again.
Wallace’s performance was as Biden’s protector, his advocate, and that is undeniable. He stepped in at every moment Biden seemed lost: court-packing, lack of support of law enforcement, and Hunter’s criminality.
The debate was so poorly managed. The questions were designed to aid Biden, to coddle him. No wonder Trump felt duty-bound to interrupt. Trump was debating both Wallace and Biden and only one of them is sentient.

Agree completely that Wallace was a hack and asked questions designed to bait Trump and help Biden.
However, Trump was hardly great. He was unprepared, undisciplined and unwatchable.
Still voting for Pres. Trump, without question.

#2, I did not watch this program because I could not suffer through that amount of time listening to Joe Biden. I have just enough for commercials.
With that said, I read your comment and will post mine. Hardly great - you must be a troll. I have been posting on this site for a long time and do not recognize your user name. Your comment about Donald Trump being "unprepared, undisciplined and unwatchable" would be typical of a Democrat, liberal or RINO. How can one be prepared when the moderator isn't moderating? I stated in my first paragraph that I didn't watch because of Joe Biden. The second reason is Chris Wallace. I knew he was going to be biased. That makes being prepared IMPOSSIBLE.

Chris Wallace is unwatchable. He is a disgrace. Even on regular programming he is a leftist. What made fox pick him? Probably the Murdochs who live in a leftist bubble. There are better people to do this job in fox.

Was unable to watch it because Internet and cable went out at our house ~10 minutes before it was to start (Thanks, Xfinity!). Early reaction from my very conservative friends echoes what #2 said, although everyone remains a big Trump supporter.

I agree with #2, and I have been a poster here for a long time.
If you didn't watch this train wreck of a debate, you can't know the misery.
I got so frustrated I turned it off after about an hour.
I'm voting for Trump, because the country is in peril and the choice is liberty vs. tyranny.

I wouldn't say great but he had his facts straight and Biden's real facts as well. Joe sounded almost coherent at times but the wild eyes gave him away. His twist on the Biden New Deal was quite interesting and AOC's eyes were probably bugging out in response.

I switched to Maria on Sunday mornings a long time ago. I got tired of Wallace's BS interviews. He was horrible last night and made it clear he would do anything to help Biden.
As for President Trump, I think after 4 years of constant attacks President Trump is tired of being the kickdog of the left and the media. His defensiveness showed, aided and abetted by Wallace's coddling of Biden. Can't say I blame our President. I'm exhausted just watching it. That he is taking all of this abuse for free by donating his salary every quarter shows what a patriot he is!
Last night's debate wasn't one of his shining moments but my family, all 4 of us, will be voting for President Trump proudly.

My biggest disappointments with Trump were his failure to set the record straight when his opponent Chris Wallace repeated the Charlottesville lie and when he failed to denounce White supremacy associated violence.
It's pretty easy to condemn all violent aggressors of any persuasion while supporting the rights of their victims to defend themselves no matter who they are.

DJT did miss some opportunities to talk about the reduction in federal regulations, his trade agreements, the economy pre- kung flu. He also could have nailed Biden on Old Jo's comments in January, criticizing president trump's shutting down China traffic.
DJT had to deal with an outrageous liar - Biden simply lied on a number of issues, and a blatant liar is hard to debate.
chris Wallace was absolutely terrible. We, in my household, gave up on him about a year ago. Wallace appeared to be Pro Jo, and anti Trump.

The questions were petty and more properly asked in the White House Press Briefing Room environment. Americans want to know the answers to things like:
1) Taxes
2) Job Growth
3) Foreign Policy (China/Russia)
4) War & Peace
Chris Wallace seemed fixated on asking administration policy, or short term news related questions.
The President got the best zinger of the night when he said that Joe's campaign stops can't fill a high school classroom.

I agree with the sentiments expressed in #2. And #3, if you perform a search of #2’s user name, you will find that s/he is a frequent poster and based on previous comments and opinions, does not appear to be a troll. I also have to add that, although I agree with President Trump in policy matters, sometimes his personality is off-putting.

So what do you want, @controlfreak? Abrasive personality or government by MSM sound bite?
Biden had no plan except for a mystery group of advisors. Biden had no results and so attacked.
He is a true MUGWUMP.

Biden said nothing of substance the whole night. Trump made a tactical mistake trying to throw Old Joe off stride. When does Biden wander off the rails? When he can speak freely and is struggling to fill a time gap. When Biden is being badgered he just hunkers down and tosses out pre-programmed platitudes and some insults. Chrissy Wallace was more than happy to let Biden get away with it.

I also agree with #2 and have been here since the beginning. If Trump had kept his cool, he could've made a lot of inroads with people who are hesitating about Joe Biden but don't like Trump's often gruff demeanor. It reminded me of the first debate with Hillary Clinton, which I was worried had cost him the election. He came back for the second debate with a cooler head and the rest is history. Let's pray it's the same this time around.

#3, poster at #2 has been here a long time. Anti-Trump trolls don't condemn Wallace and question his motives and also express support for Trump "without question". Unless they're dumb trolls.
The whole thing felt like a hot mess to me that roiled my guts. It reminded me, as a child of divorce, of my parents' arguments. Both aggressive and childish at times, there was always one of them I sided with, the one who had the better case but who didn't always express it well. I always loved that parent and knew the fight was for me, but that doesn't mean I don't think a better job could have been done articulating the case.

#15's comment is to the point: "DJT had to deal with an outrageous liar - Biden simply lied on a number of issues, and a blatant liar is hard to debate."
That's always been my problem with Biden--he lies nonstop. His talking points are all lies. Not overstatements like some of Trump's claims but deliberate, calculated lies intended to deceive. In his "debate" appearances against Gov. Palin and Rep. Ryan, the sheer profusion of lies from Biden made adequate responses impossible, like plugging a hole in the dam when the entire structure is collapsing. Somehow I missed last night's "debate"--I wish they would debate National Forensic League formal style--have filled my quotient of bovine scatology.
Life is too short to have to put up with the likes of Biden. He's insufferable to a degree that Trump never could be. Trump actually loves America. Biden was vice president to the only American president who veritably hated America, and still does to this moment. Five days before the 2008 election Obama promised that we were five days from "fundamentally transforming America."
You don't fundamentally transform anything you love. You do that to what you hate. Biden, same as Obama before, is anti-American at his hollow core. And greedy.

Don't know about anyone else outside this site, but Wallace acted just as I and many of you expected him to act. He lied about what he would do in advance to throw off President Trump. He, like other leftists, is a natural-born liar. Always, always expect liberals to act like leftists. When they act otherwise, give them time; test the fruit, so to speak.

Biden's team had the substance of Wallace's questions beforehand, and Wallace's job, plain and simple, was to run interference for Biden to make sure Trump didn't pull him into any areas where Biden didn't have memorized, practiced responses. It was clear to any reasonable viewer that Wallace was shamelessly on Biden's side. Wallace should be drummed out of journalism, but instead his career with MSM is now a guaranteed success.

Will there ever be a debate where the moderators ask questions in a way that is neutral--such as, what are your plans for the economy?-- and not gotcha questions or questions with a false premise, like the "science" of global warming or telling "your" (ie, Trump's) people not to riot?

Chris Wallace and his father were both big time losers. Both were far left their whole lives. Brit Hume should not have give Chris Wallace such hight praise as being the best moderator ever. All I cam surmise is Chris gets a tingle up his leg from Hume. And generally I like Hume.
