I don’t have any contacts in hell to tell me whether or not the temperature has dropped, but I did look out of my window to see if I could spot any flying pigs. It’s a natural reaction when you see The New York Times actually do an honest fact check of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. It’s even more alarming when they go so far as to label one of his claims “false.” And yet, that’s precisely what the Grey Lady did today, folks. In their post-debate fact-checking piece, they did the typical line of attack and picked out Trump’s inaccuracies while giving Biden the soft glove treatment. But

The Left has signaled the end-game on this by raising new theories of the economic of white privilege having arisen in part from “generational wealth” (family inheritance) as contrasted with the denial of “40 acres and a mule,” which was the the “promised” reparation legacy of every slave in 1864. The equivalent appraised value brought forward with simple interest over the past 156 years would be a staggering sum of tens of millions of dollars for each dependent. Because it would not be possible to write those checks in a single year, reparations will likely mean six figures of annual income of every black in America (ancestry tracing being completely impractical). How many years would this go on? Long enough to include million of black children who have not been born yet. How would it be paid? An annual tax on the “net wealth” of every white American.

Amazon and other online retailers are pulling merchandise from their sites emblazoned with the words "stand back" and "stand by" and displaying the insignia of the Proud Boys, a far-right extremist group. Shirts bearing the words cropped up for sale after President Trump uttered the phrase on Tuesday night, referring to the white supremacist group, during his debate with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Individuals associated with the Proud Boys online took Mr. Trump's directive as words of encouragement, and products displaying the phrase quickly made their way onto sites including Amazon and Teespring

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has enough support from Latino voters to win Texas, but Joe Biden could pull off an upset if he wins two-thirds of the Latino vote in the state — something Hillary Clinton came close to doing in 2016 — a new analysis finds. The analysis, by the Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation, says Trump currently holds enough support from Latino voters, 41 percent, to stave off a loss in the state. On the other hand, a poll released this week found otherwise, showing Biden with 66 percent of the Latino vote. “A surge in Hispanic support for Biden could turn the state blue,”

My family and my company are leaving California. It’s heartbreaking. My parents moved to California four decades ago. I grew up here. For 33 of the 36 years I’ve spent on this planet, I’ve lived here. I was born at St. Joseph’s in Burbank; I attended elementary school at Edison Elementary; I went to college at UCLA. I co-founded a major media company here, with 75 employees in Los Angeles. I met my wife here; all three of my kids are native Californians. This is the most beautiful state in the country. The climate is incredible. The scenery is amazing. The people are generally warm

The stylebook published by the Associated Press was virtually the bible for journalistic writing until the past several years, an authoritative guide as to which terms to use and which to avoid in order to present the news fairly, without biasing readers one way or another. But that memory is fading fast now that the capture of journalism by the left is a fait accompli. Instead of eliminating bias, the AP Stylebook is being revised along the lines George Orwell laid out in 1984 — as a tool for indoctrination. Nick Arama of RedState noticed that the AP wants the word "riot" to be dropped

His approval rating today: 46 percent. Barack Obama’s approval rating eight years ago today: 47 percent. Trump’s not licked yet. There are two differences between them, though. One is that Trump’s disapproval rating stands at 52 percent. Obama’s was 46 percent. Flipping someone who’s undecided into your column is a lot easier than flipping someone who disapproves of you, which is the task facing Trump with that crucial three or four percent that he still needs. The other difference is that O’s job approval soon rose above 50 and he ended up spending nearly all of that month at or above 49 percent.

Verizon has been quietly scrambling to unload HuffPost as it grapples with continued losses at the left-leaning news and culture website, The Post has learned. The telecom giant — which acquired the site formerly known as the Huffington Post as part of its $4.4 billion purchase of AOL in 2015 — has approached multiple digital-media companies during the past few months in a bid to get the property off its books as losses accelerate due to the coronavirus, according to sources close to the situation. Verizon has pitched the property to prospective buyers including Thrillist-owner Group Nine Media, Rolling Stone publisher Penske Media Corp., Bustle Digital Media and J2 Global

…I don’t know. Skeletor? This is a hard one, folks. Time and again, this debate proved to me that this is a terrifying time to be alive. Two old men shouting at each other while a third old man tries to get them to stop shouting at each other? Watching this debate was a type of self-destructive behavior that I’ll be recovering from for a while, I think. However, let’s briefly review who came out on top tonight. Winner: Trump (But Barely) If we’re talking about a straight-up “did better than the other guy,” I think the winner is actually Trump. President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden went head-to-head on Tuesday night, and moderator Chris Wallace got knocked out. Wallace seemed to push left-wing talking points to help Trump and hurt Biden, but both candidates talked over him. Trump and Biden brought out the fisticuffs and both got in a few good hits. Biden stumbled but he did not come across as a bumbling fool. While Trump and Biden both went on the offensive, Trump got in more clear statements and Biden came across as shifty, especially on packing the Supreme Court.

With 24 hours having passed since the first presidential debate, it’s becoming clear that Trump won in a big way. It wasn’t an apparent victory, but it was a real one: He showed his base and ordinary Americans that he will always fight while forcing Biden to disavow both his hard-left base and the last of the old-fashioned Democrats who still support him Don’t pay too much attention to the pessimistic pundits. The worriers worried, the haters hated, the ambivalent were ambivalent, the cheerleaders cheered. Personality may not be destiny, but it determines post-debates reviews.
