Trump hasn’t even named his pick to succeed Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, and already the media is stepping up to fulfill its role as the propaganda adjunct for the Democratic Party and its leftward-most pressure groups.
• Like this NBC “News” story: “Critics” say! Which critics? I’m surprised they don’t say “experts” just to give it that special CDC glow. I wonder what Anthony Fauci thinks? How long until the CDC declares that Ginsburg-Grief is a serious health threat that can only be cured if Trump appoints Nina Totenberg to the Supreme Court?

Some people will fall for this garbage and that is unfortunate but most people that do are delusional Leftists to begin with so it matters not at all if they are mislead.
Regrettably for dems, most people are now HIGHLY dubious of media declarations. Most people EXPECT stories associated with Trump to be wrong or outright and brazen lies. They are EXPECTING a correction or retraction to follow. The only real question is how embarrassing and bad tasting will the crow be for the media. Of course, there is no shame associated with such failures. The media has long abandoned journalistic standards to become the propaganda arm of the Left. They serve this purpose proudly so there is no reason for repentance.

Stories like this sinks sites like Newsweek even further. Are they trying to go out of business? Seems so.

FTA: “We need someone with deep civil rights experience and background if we are looking to fill the legacy of her seat on the court.” It sounds a little like they want someone with the same lengthy history as Nefarious RBG, maybe even someone older! Perhaps Elizabeth Cady Stanton is available?

The "sect" Barrett belongs to was the basis for The Handmaiden's Tale screams the headline.
Oops. Sorry, that headline and our entire story is not true.
Newsweek wouldn't even sell for a dollar anymore.

No one is "looking to fill the legacy" of any justice's seat. The president is nominating to fill A seat on the Supreme Court. The person who last warmed it is a non-issue.

Anybody who doubts that the media is the enemy of the people just is lacking in intelligence, integrity or both. Likely both...

Ginsburg wasn't of the same mindset of the justice she replaced, so why is it a concern now? Poster #5 said it best!

"Looking to fill a legacy" What? This isn't musical chairs or some kid's game. It's about the Constitution and nothing else your ideology outside the Constitution don't mean squat.

This will continue until: a) conservatives and real Americans recapture the education system; and b) wealthy conservatives develop alternatives to the propagandist media and social media leftists. We are already 30 years behind the power curve, so this will take a monumental effort. One start might be for 50-60 million Americans to "unplug" from Facebook, Twitter, network news, etc. Unfortunately, the social media tycoons recognized early on that their bread would be buttered by creating world-usable platforms, so I doubt that they would care if conservative Americans quit using their platforms.

The reason we have the first amendment is for the free press to function as a check on government, to shine the light on government...... not to be a cheerleader, as the mainstream media are.

I want Trump to nominate Amy for no other reason then to watch their heads explode!
PS: She'll be an excellent addition to the SCOTUS.

First, we elected PDJT because we didn't care for the 'legacy of Ginsburg,' whatever that means.
Per the article: "It’s really easy to be a reporter in the mainstream media when all you do is rewrite the press releases from leftist interest groups."
Easy perhaps, but the cost? The shriveling of one's soul.

@#1, I hope what you say is correct that more see through the news and those that don't are so in the tank it doesn't matter. I'm doubtful though because I've spoken to people from very different walks of life, some I have some respect for because they aren't stupid people and yet they all believe what the media is telling them. Worse yet, the more outlandish the media lie is the more these people believe it. I can't wrap my head around how anyone could be so gullible.
@#6 I think Totenburg's husband was a Clinton appointed judge or in-law maybe. This came up several years ago in another moment of bias where Totenburg was giving us her two cents without revealing her connection. "the advantage of age" What you say is true when speaking of the things we remember, I wouldn't agree when it comes to how my body feels!
