Outside of the friendly confines of Utah, Mitt Romney is not a very popular figure in the Republican Party just at the moment. His vote to convict President Donald Trump on one charge during the impeachment debacle cemented a severe distaste that most conservatives developed as a result of his Never Trump antics.
Romney suffered those slings and arrows without much complaint, stating the reason he received so much ire is his principled conservatism. As Trump moves to replace Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Romney’s principles should make him a yes.

Two chances: slim and none.
Pierre will vote as his handlers direct.
His vote will be NO.
You see, he wants Marxism.

Too many excuses are made for this good-haired clown. His main problem is severely low self-esteem due to his pathetic loss to Barack Obama and the negative attention he earned from that. Nobody is begging him for a vote and he will remain in his snit and not offer one.

When Romney recorded the ONLY republican vote to impeach a republican president, he became as humpty-dumpty, and all of the kings horses and all of the kings men cannot put him back together again. I am sure that McConnell approaches every senate vote with the mindset that Romney will not be an R team player. His legacy is secure as a traitorous Maverick, just like McCain.

Don't blame Utah for Mitt Romney because he represents himself, not us. Utah historically follow the "duly elected" religiously-pun intended.
Mitt was handpicked by Orrin hatch to fill his vacated seat. I do not know that anyone has asked Orrin about this and his feelings now. Orrin prided himself in being an aisle crosser not a double crosser.

Big IF...but he did vote not to impeach (?) Kavanaugh so you never know. I DO know tat Susan Collins will lose her Republican base with her antics re: voting pre election, and not gain one Democratic vote.

Romney principled? That's a laugh. Has he ever met a principle he didn't ditch to make money and keep in the social limelight?

It's all relative.
Mittens is "principled" -- it's just that he is principled as a brain-dead lie-beral Demon-Rat, not as a conservative Republican.
As such, his "principles" tell him to do anything to hurt President Trump and support his Demon-Rat masters!!!

President Trump made his fortune by building up. Romney made his fortune by tearing down. Romney will always hate Trump and do whatever he can to fight Donald Trump, romney can't help himself. Poop can only be a poop.

If Romney had any principles he would have dropped out of the race in 2012. If Obama went to Columbia he would release his transcripts. If Benghazi was caused by a video Susan Rice could have slept in that Sunday morning. If Bill Clinton didn't sex young girls on Epstein's Island Epstein would still be with us. If Romney hadn't invented Obamacare he'd still be governor of Massachusetts.
