On several occasions, a black person committed a crime, a police officer tried to arrest him, the suspect resisted arrest, and the officer was forced to kill him. This suggests to me that I should not break the law and not resist arrest. (snip) Since the first kneeling by Colin Kaepernick in 2016, attendance and television ratings have gone down. In our first COVID-19 season, there are virtually no fans at the stadium. This decline will affect income.
The players will find that there is not enough money to support their large salaries. They will be forced to take smaller contracts.

It will take a while, but the NFL WILL crash and burn. The numbers are already starting to prove it.

The NBA can go to China for it's money and fans. Not so the NFL. If it can't make it here, it can't make it anywhere.

More important than total watchers (had to estimate in this delayed streaming world) is the gross advertising revenue. I suspect that income from all advertisers (except vehicle insurers) is way down. Just watch how many slots are filled with adverts from paying customers and how many are from the broadcasters themselves.

They have a long way to go before they go broke. Many of the owners are billionaires ... or have deep pockets from lots of sources. The NFL is a hobby for them.

Once the China virus restrictions are over, there should be a new patriotic non-political league that starts up. Use college stadiums and make it a inexpensive family fun experience with no commercial breaks. To heck with these overpaid egotistical America hating jerks.

The virus may have thinned the ranks of stadium attendees for a few months but it has very little to do with the crashing and burning of the NFL and should not be mentioned in any discussion of their self-inflicted death. The causes are racism, greed, hatred and arrogance.

IIRC the average price per person to go to a Dallas Cowboys game is around $300. That includes parking and concessions (the price for parking alone is why Jerry Jones doesn't want a train going from Dallas to the stadium). $300 * 50,000 attendees = $15,000,000 each time that new(ish) stadium isn't filled. 8 home games per year * 15 M = $120M in lost revenue. Now, multiply that across the entire NFL. That kind of loss will be getting someone's attention - whether it's the owners or the players is yet to be seen.

Only watch college football, not yet so political, and more fun to watch.

Don't forget the players were caught multiple times beating up their girlfriends. So they did a Public Service Announcement that essentially browbeat the fans to not beat up their girlfriends. What a self-denying tone deaf bunch of thugs.

Why isnt someone going after the owners? Its their responsibility and fault this is happening. If they had any sense or Americanism at all, they would fire the dumb-@ && es that kneel and remind them that they ARE replaceable. They should feel the scorn upon their heads like coals.

Speaking of PSAs, see how many of the TV timeouts are taken up by PSAs. We have a local radio station who is essentially broadcasting PSAs and plays a little music. I think this is an indicator of the station going south.

Not going to take time out of my day to watch men who hate my country, hate my anthem, hate my flag, and who actively work to support violent felons play a game.

Speaking of the owners, I see the values of the teams is still going up, how long can that last? I'm not so sure I believe the values are going up, we'll see the next time one is sold.

I used to enjoy watching a few minutes of a Steeler game and there is one this afternoon. I don't care who plays, I don't care if they win or lose. I'm going to do some drywall instead and even that will be more enjoyable. The NFL is a thing of the past. Forever.

Can someone name 1 outfit that actually got woke and went broke? Bad news, folks, it certainly isn't going to be the NFL. I know a lot of patriots that still watch football.

Tom Landry never tolerated player misconduct, not from any player. That kind of coach no longer exists in the NFL.

The players will get paid less and less; the owners will probably continue to get richer and probably on the back of US taxpayers as usual.
