I didn’t watch the NFL’s opening game last night between Kansas City and Houston. However, I’ve read several accounts about the players’ approach to the National Anthem and related activity.
Apparently, the NFL decided to play both the National Anthem and a song called “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which is sometimes referred to as the black national anthem. The idea of a black national anthem should be offensive to all but racial separatists. As long as we’re one country, we should have just one anthem, and it should be the only one played at sports events.
The Houston Texans stayed in their locker room during both anthems,
5 years ago, I would've been waiting for this game. Today, I no longer watch professional sports. And even better, I have more time for enjoying my family and life in general. I call it a win for my family and me...

Locker rooms, prior to a game, in any sport has a pumped up atmosphere. Let's go get 'em attitudes. So here was a locker room where all the players and various coaches are sitting on their benches, helmets in hand, saying is it over yet? Are they done singing? sigh...................

I am sick and tired of rich athletes disrespecting our flag and country for what? For BLM and Antifa which are Communist fronts for terrorists. Shame on them and their owners. They are kneeling for domestic terrorism! I hope the fans stay home and save their money.

So like many, I've been watching the NFL since I was a kid. Been to games, the whole bit. Was on the sidelines at the old Texas Stadium. Goodell ruined the League long before any of this BLM garbage. I have basically lost interest. Not a mad boycott that could subside, I simply don't really care about it anymore.

Don’t write about the NFL! Don’t go off on about the fans or the players or the media’s response to the NFL. Just like Hillary, just stop giving them all this attention!! Ignoring it is the best response!

Bread and circuses. It's no longer about athleticism and strategy. It's about money, agenda, and selling cell phones and pickup trucks. Too bad. Some may still care. I don't.

Don't watch NFL, NBA and now MLB. These guys, black and white, live in a bubble of excesses....pampering, money, women, children they don't even know, adulation from mindless fans, crime, etc. Come together in center of field for unity....got a suggestion......unify against violence, black on black crime, absentee fathers ( really just sperm donors not fathers), getting an education, getting jobs (first need an education unless manual labor is your thing), re-establishing the black nuclear family rather than having an array of baby mamas, etc. Of course this will never happen cause it doesn't fit the narrative. BLM is just a catchy slogan so they can remember it. BLM don't matter! If they did, black on black crime would cease, abortion of black babies would cease, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, New York and Atlanta among other cities would hire and support the police and lock up the criminals and then vote to impeach each major and replace them with someone who cares about everyone's welfare. Wishful thinking but will not happen. The media are the enablers. Turn them off, advertisers abandon them, replace all talking heads and presidents of networks. Might have a chance if this were to happen. I said might.

NFL = National Football League
NBA = National Basketball Association
Get where I am going with this? If they don't like the anthem or anything about our country, then take national out of their title. After all, these are the people who are getting all worked up about names etc. Well, guess what NFL and NBA? You have enjoyed the massive audience as a result and now you are whining about it. You all have reaped the big salaries and big celebrity sports status but now want to tell the American people how to think and act. We love our country, warts and all, because we understand perfection doesn't exist. Democrats, liberals and RINO's use it to their advantage.

BLM now owns professional sports and now ads are popping up on television to support them. Like a previous posted wrote if BLM was any good black on black crimes and killings would stop, abortions of black babies would end, black neighborhoods would get cleaned up and so forth. The NFL and other sports can take a knee and stay on their knees I'll never know about it.

The real boo'ers have stopped supporting the NFL altogether. How may of those boo'ers in the stadium then walked out? It really wouldn't have mattered, though. All the social justice warriors care about is the fans pay their 20 pieces of silver. After that, they simply don't care.

Much of the booing happened after the PA announcer said,
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please join us in a moment of silence dedicated to the ongoing fight for equality in our country."
Boos can be heard better than laughter.

They do not care if you watch. They do care if you cancel your cable tv subscription.

FTA; J.J. Watt, the Texans white megastar, was taken aback by the boos. “I don’t fully understand that,” he said. “There was no flag involved, there was nothing involved other than two teams coming together to show unity.”
I live in a suburb of Houston. I didn’t watch the game but watched local Houston news recap on Friday morning September 11. Let me help you JJ Watt the white megastar understand. You and the entire Texans team on the eve of the anniversary of the September 11 attack on the twin towers disrespected the flag. Did you and the team even think about displaying unity for the people, including first responders that died on 9/11?

Kind of like the Dallas Cowboys, along with their owner Jerry Jones, taking a knee after a BLM sympathizer killed / assassinated 5 Dallas police officers. Talk about no self awareness.

The players in these leagues are showing the owners who's boss and the owners are bending over and taking it. Ownership needs stand up. They are the long term stewards of these leagues and they are 9issing it all away.

The commentators have uniformly become completely obtuse, opining that only hateful asses could boo the "gesture of unity".
They SEEM to miss that the particular gesture is intimately bound to a political movement that is trying to slip Marxist restraints onto us without us noticing. The CONCEPT of unity is awesome. The basis for this particular "unity" is anything but awesome. The BLM / Antifa wankers can go screw themselves, if they expect everybody to fall for their propaganda. And a number of those booing it were booing the American Bolshevik Revolution underlying the flimsy veneer of eliminating injustice.
