What’s going on with the
Durham investigation, if anything?

Ever since Attorney General Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia collusion probe, Trump supporters have been waiting for the bomb to drop. And waiting. And waiting. But nothing ever happens.
Judicial Watch’s founder Tom Fitton thinks that conservatives are being scammed. Instead of an investigation, it’s just another Washington cover-up. I suspect (or, maybe, hope), though, that Barr and Durham are holding their fire because of the election.
Tom Fitton, whose organization doggedly uncovers documents the Swamp wants to hide, was on Fox News’ Lou Dobbs Tonight. He is concerned that the John Durham investigation is a sham

Yes, AG Barr, where is the report or indictments? The country was put this crap for over three years and we want answers and indictments. The people of the nation want to believe that we have a justice system that is equal to everyone.

They are either waiting for everyone to die of old age, or the statute of limitations to run out. They are not going to get their buddies in trouble. For all we know, they all partied together at Epstein's place.
Dont listen to what they say. Look at what they do or dont do.

I am convinced that Durham and Barr don't want to admit to the extent of the wrongdoing. They want to preserve the FBI and CIA and the Deep State. However, they don't want this to happen again. So, they are working on reforms that amount to saying,
"Don't do this again or next time you will go to jail. And, we really, really mean it."

I think that Barr and Durham should be indicted for not doing their job and scamming the American public.
That would be better than nothing. I never trusted this Barr dude from day one.

I'm perhaps as impatient and probably more so than the next guy- but I think the last thing we need is a perp walk in the runup to the election. I don't think it's wise to give that cudgel to the leftists in the media. I'd rather send Joe and Kamallah back to lay down by their respective dishes and then start the perp round-up right after the inauguration. I think it would be a nice reward after the Trump/Pence victory and a House/Senate majority.

I'm with #5, I think that Barr and Durham have justified letting this one go on the mistaken notion that they can keep it from happening again, and that the turmoil of a full exposure and appropriate consequences would damage the country. I hope I'm wrong.

Hannity says that his "insiders" expect something in September. We have been expecting something since the days of Sessions and those FBI criminals who were in on the original coup plan. We already know that the DOJ is useless and corrupted but we would like to see an end to this thing. I have given up on seeing the Beast of Chappaqua and Bathhouse Barry dressed in orange but Comey, Brennan and their pals need to be sent away for a long time. The only guy who has seen justice for this travesty since 2016 has been John McCain and God had to do that for us.

Joe Biden was a participant in the early January, 2017 Oval Office meeting in which Obama discussed how he wanted Comey’s FBI to illegally entrap Gen Flynn. The same Biden who, as VP, organized and oversaw the incredibly lucrative bribe schemes from Burisma and China for his son. And the same Joe Biden who may be elected President in just 7 weeks. We know these facts yet we are at enormous risk that this corrupt and demented fool may be elected thanks to the fools who claim to run our DoJ and FBI.

Like the new highway extension we have been promised , that the money has been appropriated for and the permits obtained, for over 20 years, we're still waiting. The legislator that started the project is long dead and the 1st shovel full of dirt has yet to be turned. I told the wife, we'll be dead before they ever build this highway, and that will still be sooner than we see any of these coup plotters in orange jumpsuits.

I guess Roger Stone had some water behind his house...waterway or lake...it's Florida. Anyway, there were frogmen in boats when they arrested him. Can you imagine that? Roger Stone told a lie (I guess) while testifying to Congress and they sent in scuba divers in case he tried to escape by water. I will not abide the coup plotters walking away with a strong warning and a book deal.

We go from one of the greatest travesties in Am. History, to I'm not interested in Obama/et.al. Doesn't give one much hope. We are going on 4 years of investigations without no end in sight. AG Barr gives the impression that he is following AG Sessions. Someone tell Barr/Durham that you go to war with the army you have This investigation is so old that the Dead Sea was just getting sick when it started.
What are we down to now? Investigating what the two lovebirds had for breakfast? What did Barr promise Bull Durham in return for the stall? Somebody needs to explain the autumnal equinox to Barr.

I would not under-estimate AG Barr on this. He gains nothing by giving the dims a pass in Spygate. He would go down in history as the master deep stater who ended Rule of Law.
To be sure, the covid scam has slowed down his and Durham's efforts. But, I notice that Barr has been much more visible lately with tv interviews and news releases about other cases he and DOJ have been working on. I had wondered if these recent appearances are intended to "break the ice" a little bit in advance of a Barr Spygate announcement in the coming weeks. It's almost as if he is signaling "don't worry, the big day is coming". I guess it never hurts to dream?

It took until #20 to mention the Covid. I think that is major tell as to what is going on.
At it's core the rot in our Government is fueled by the big money players worldwide who don't want the system cleaned up or exposed. If they stand to be exposed and lose it all, would they care if they crash the World's economy, destroy cities, and stage a coup? Kill untold scores of people in a multitude of ways? Nope. Collateral damage. That might not be their first choice, but if its their last shot and it's chaos or a striped jumpsuit, what do you think (fill in the blank) would do? They would sacrifice the average Joe & Jane for their own interests.
We better pray Trump wins, because Kamala has said she's coming for me and you and everyone else that doesn't kneel at their feet. Buckle up, it's most likely going to be a bumpy ride!

I have great respect for the disclosures Judicial Watch has been able to pry out of the government, but JW can only pry and publicize. Durham is working to prosecute high level criminal activity in order to get - where appropriate - indictments. It would be nice if Fitton recalled (or understood?) that grand jury processes are secret. No one shows up on Lou Dobbs to shoot the breeze about what’s the latest. It is killing people like Fitton and Dobbs.
Fitton’s characterization of Durham’s investigation is not the least bit helpful. Grandstanding.

I would think Barr has stirred up enough on the record as well as POTUS confirmation that this was a serious crime that some will be punished for to try to swing the pendulum a little from a 2-tiered justice system. Short of that they risk "Peaceful Protest" from the patriots. Although I can not imagine patriots vandalizing and terrorizing anything or anyone but the government. I think they would be aware of this risk. At some point the government must understand that the people will be woke to understand that the people r the ones that need to bring justice.

Even if the report is released tomorrow the general public will hear very little of it, because the media will bury it and not report it. Voters have already made up their mind.
If the Dems keep playing their filthy games against Trump that will hurt them more between now and Election Day. Most people can see right through them. Although, dumb Democrats don't read and can't understand right from wrong. Additionally, I suspect Democrat enthusiasm is very low and they will have a much lower turn out. Com-on Man, even a dumb Democrat can't excited about Joe Biden.

Durham is working with a grand jury. Most of us haven’t a clue about grand juries. Here is a great tutorial written in plain English by a retired 22 year federal prosecutor who indeed worked with grand juries.

For those clamoring for indictment, I think Barr cannot indict anyone---that's the job of a grand jury. To me, all these investigations are just meaningless, anyway. We get a feel-good moment when a probe is announced and are hopeful that this time, FINALLY, the truth will come out and the Demos will be forced to admit they are crooks. But it never happens. Think about Hillary and all those emails that got "cleaned"---like "wiped with a cloth?" Big deal. There is no justice, because they ALL are scoundrels, cheats, and snake oil salespersons. And I mean BOTH sides. Politics is all about who has what on whom, so why should we be surprised that investigations go nowhere.
It's not just the Deep State, but rather ALL politics that's IN the swamp.

Thanks for the link, #28. While my daughter works for a federal District Court Judge in Denver and has taught me a lot about the judicial processes, I have much more to learn about. I have upmost respect for Judicial.
We mustn't take what AG Barr and Counsel Durham are doing with a grain of salt. Read the entire analysis provided by #28 and your respectful appreciation of the process will follow.

The highly informative material linked in #28 not only tells us about the basic workings of the grand jury, but also the writer’s knowledge of what effect the COVID19 pandemic has had on the grand jury and the courts. Many have denied that that should have had any effect. They should be the first ones to read at least that section of this article.

And for what it is worth, folks, the federal district courts in Denver had remained shut from mid-March until late July at which time the first jury selections and in-courtroom proceedings had re-started. Add it up. Judicial had incurred a 4 and a half-month delay in both civil and criminal proceedings. Empaneled Grand Juries would have experienced the same delays. Counsel Durham would have been experiencing similar delays in the eastern Districts he is operating within.

Nothing is going on with Durham, and nothing was intended to ever go on. The plan was to run out the clock, and the clock has been ran out. Now we have the insufferable Trey Gowdy telling us that the punishment will be decided at the ballot box, and AG Barr now pushing back any announcements from end of summer to before the elections, after which it will be end of year. The Durham investigation has turned into the latest hoax we have been forced to suffer for another 2 years.
