Atlantic Editor Admits Key Detail of
Anti-Trump Hit Piece May Be Untrue

Original Article

Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, admitted that a key detail of his article about Trump could be wrong during an interview with CNN on Sunday. “When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed the rain for the last-minute decision, saying ‘the helicopter couldn’t fly’ and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true,” Goldberg wrote in his piece published last week. According to Goldberg, President Trump was overheard saying he wanted to cancel the trip to the cemetery because “it’s filled with losers.” At least fifteen Trump administration officials who were with Trump

Goldberg is ensconced in a safe haven at the Atlantic. He knows he won't be fired no matter how much he lies. In fact, it wouldn't be surprising that he has been told that these type of false attacks are now part of his job. The readership of the Atlantic is probably all liberal and therefore they risk little by pandering to their worst nature. In sum, the editor, his magazine, and its readership are all a nice little Leftist echo chamber that can spew lies without consequence. Hint: Harry Reid is probably a "source". Or did Goldberg make the story up, out of whole cloth, and there aren't any mysterious "sources"?

The relentless libel of our President is despicable. What it is intended to do is to give the base another lie that they will enthusiastically run with. They present a narrative and the base will get on board and make it part of their hate Trump strategy knowing it will never be challenged. They will continue to use it as a talking point regardless if it is a lie. It’s just one more weapon in the democrat arsenal brought to you by the corrupt media.

I believe veteran reporter Sharyl Atkisson's take on all this: The story was manufactured, and shopped among all the first tier networks, cable news, plus WaPo-NYT. None bit, because they all would require a named source. They still purport to maintain that journalistic standard. The Atlantic has no such standard. (Yesterday's The Federalist dives deep into that.)

We need to change our legal standard for libel as to public figures to rules identical to those in the UK. We have made it virtually impossible here in the US for a Trump to fight back against slander from the media. Our First Amendment protects the 'press' but no one whom they lie about and journalistic 'standards' requiring verified sources BEFORE publication have long ago disappeared. Hell! University schools of journalism no longer even teach there is such a thing as objective truth.

It should be obvious that the Atlantic article was malicious to the extreme. President Trump has had a long history of supporting the military, stretching back long before he ever got into politics. So it would be completely out of character for Trump to denigrate dead marines or soldiers resting in military cemeteries in France or anywhere else. If Trump had gone to that cemetery in a driving rain nobody has said anything about the 90 year old plus Second World War veterans would would have then been expected to sit in the heavy rain to hear a bunch of speeches. That is not to say that Trump has not and will not take to task the DC “UniParty” politicians and the military bureaucrats (Admirals and Generals) who are all for sending American military people to the other side of the world to fight, die, and be seriously wounded, in especially the endless Middle East foreign wars that in one way or another have been ongoing for hundreds of years between differing Islamic factions, that when you look closely have little or nothing to do with US national security. The war mongers, both civilian and military, claim those wars are necessary to keep the Islamist terrorists from entering the USA and perpetrating more 9-11 style attacks. But if the USA were to enforce effective immigration laws those foreign terrorists would not be able to get into the USA and stay here to plan and carry out their terrorist attacks. The liberal Democrats who have been spawning those military related hoaxes against Trump now, as the run-up to the general election picks up steam, are just about all people who would never think of joining the military themselves, or Going along with their sons and daughters joining the military in ground combat units, taking their chances possibly getting killed or seriously wounded in the endless Middle East Wars.

The lie is out there produced by a publication whose writers openly advocate for an overthrow of the Constitution and the United States, given credibility by all of the alphabets. The Marxists, their "white shield" Republicans, mainstream media, entertainment and education have circulated the lie so that most Americans believe it's true because of course, Orange Man Bad. Just like Russia, Mueller, Ukraine, and all of the other lies are believed, this one is out there and the proof that this "loser" lie has been completely debunked doesn't matter. The lie has become something that most people believe is because days after the entire story was debunked, a Marxist mouthpiece asked Trump, "Why do you hate the military so much"? I don't know how a Trump victory and four more years of his presidency is going to slow this demonic-like evil from the Marxists but I know I'm going to go vote for him. "According to Goldberg, President Trump was overheard saying he wanted to cancel the trip to the cemetery because 'it’s filled with losers.'" Overheard? Would a retired Marine Corps general "overhear" a comment like that from Trump and not challenge it? Everyone else present denies it was said, so to whom was Trump addressing his comment if not Kelly or one of them? This sounds like multiple hearsay, as in the old game called "telephone," attributed by the writer to someone who allegedly requested anonymity because of fear of a Trump tweetstorm. When I was in J-School long ago, this kind of reporting was declared not just irresponsible, but completely unethical.

The Atlantic has surrendered it's credibility by choosing to become a propaganda organ for the left. There are no journalists at the Atlantic, because journalists do not work at propaganda mills. You can believe this because what credible publication would sacrifice approximately half of it's readership in the name of politics? Like CNN and the other left-wing media, the Atlantic must still believe that there are no other sources for people to learn the truth, and that people will not question their propaganda. Now, everything from the Atlantic is fake, until proven credible!

After a summer of assaults on Christopher Columbus’s legacy, it’s a small miracle that Columbus Day is still hanging on as a federal holiday. Columbus has been under attack since at least 1980, when Howard Zinn vilified him in his anti-American polemic A People’s History of the United States. More recently, Columbus’s reputation has come under attack like never before. Dozens of Columbus statues have been vandalized, and at least 33 cities have taken down their Columbus statues, from Sacramento to New Haven. In June, a 1,600-pound bronze statue of Columbus—located just a few miles from Joe Biden’s 6,850 square foot mansion—was removed.

On Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced legislation to create what would be called the "Commission on Presidential Capacity to Discharge the Powers and Duties of Office." The bill, written by one of Pelosi's fellow Democrats, Rep. Jamie Raskin, would provide for the implementation of the 25th Amendment to remove a president deemed too incapacitated to carry out his or her responsibilities. Pelosi, of course, led the Democratic effort to impeach and remove President Trump 11 months ago. For his part, Raskin has wanted to remove Trump from the get-go. He introduced a 25th Amendment bill in 2017, the first year of Trump's presidency.

Our public schools are run, for the most part, by liberal administrators, and teachers are drawn, usually, from the lowest quadrant of academic ability among college graduates. There are exceptions, of course, but the overall level of instruction in the public schools is abysmal. And that isn’t the worst of it: teachers who are marginally able, at best, to teach the subjects for which they are nominally responsible often devote themselves to political indoctrination instead. Most such forays into left-wing mythology go unreported, but occasionally an enterprising kid turns on his phone and records a teacher’s rant. That happened a few weeks ago

Egan told Fox News that while areas throughout California experienced a decline in sales tax revenues, other cities saw an uptick in online sales – but San Francisco did not.

Hunter Biden was not charged in the scheme, but Biden's name was reportedly "invoked at various stages of the fraud as a selling point in transactions." Archer was indicted on March 26, 2018 and charged with conspiracy to commit securities fraud and securities fraud for a Native American tribal bond scheme hatched by Archer and several of his business partners.
Nancy Pelosi’s latest coup-coup nonsense 25 replies

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says her team is “going to be talking about the 25th Amendment” on Friday — the latest in a long line of nutty Democratic fantasies of getting rid of President Trump. Pelosi, who hasn’t actually talked to the prez in months, claims to think he’s mentally off thanks to his COVID-19 treatments (or something). Yet she’s only exposing (again) Democrats’ own Trump Derangement Syndrome, because this potential coup is an obvious non-starter. Trump’s “disassociation from reality would be funny if it weren’t so deadly,” she claimed — just because he’s made his usual fast-changing threats and offers over the relief bill that Democrats have stalled in Congress.

Hillary Clinton has called on Congress to slash the Pentagon's budget and shift funding to 'domestic renewal' and foreign diplomacy, arguing that expensive weapons systems from the Cold War and war on terror are no longer needed. In a lengthy essay published in Foreign Affairs magazine on Friday, the former secretary of state laid out her vision for restructuring U.S. defense spending, while accusing the Trump administration of mismanagement. 'Today's competition is not a traditional global military contest of force and firepower,' Clinton wrote.

Now we know what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s bizarre 25th Amendment comments were really about. During her Thursday press conference, Pelosi told media to come on back Friday to hear something regarding the constitutional amendment by which a president may be removed from office. Passed in the wake of President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, the 25th spells out what may be lawfully done when a sitting president is deemed no longer fit to serve. Section 4 Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide,

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton continued questioning the result of the 2016 election, voicing her concerns in an interview with the Atlantic published on Friday. “No, there was a widespread understanding that this election [in 2016] was not on the level,” she said in an interview with Edward Issac-Dovere about her spectacular loss to President Donald Trump. “We still don’t know what really happened. I mean, there’s just a lot that I think will be revealed. History will discover.” During the interview, Clinton repeatedly noted she won the popular mandate by nearly three million votes, which she argued put into question the actual results.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday rolled out legislation that would set up a commission under the 25th Amendment to weigh whether a president is incapacitated – but admitted it had nothing to do with removing COVID-19-stricken President Donald Trump. She had heavily hyped the move on Thursday but when she unveiled the plan, immediately made clear it was in effect a troll against the president. 'This is not about president Trump. He will face the judgement of the voters,' Pelosi told reporters in a press conference at the Capitol.'He shows the need for us to create a process for future presidents,' she said.

Yelp has created a new label to warn users about businesses accused of racism following an uptick in reports of discrimination. The review platform says the alert will help consumers decide whether they’ll be welcome at a particular business—but some conservatives fear it will be used to “destroy” merchants with false allegations. Yelp says it will place the notice on the profiles of businesses that see an influx of reviews after getting public attention for reports of “racist conduct” and direct users to a news article with more details about the allegations. “As the nation reckons with issues of systemic racism,

The FBI is once again stonewalling Congressional oversight on Hunter Biden’s criminal overseas activities. A couple weeks ago Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent Director Wray a letter demanding answers on whether the FBI is investigating Hunter Biden’s crimes. The Senate Finance and Homeland Security Committees released a devastating report on Hunter Biden, Burisma and corruption Wednesday morning. The crooked Biden family enriched themselves and Barack Obama knew.

If Democrats win in November, they already vow to destroy one branch of government and transform the U.S. Senate into another House of Representatives, where a simple majority rules and "fickleness and passion" carry the day, to quote James Madison. (snip) In a classic Olbermann deranged rant, the former MSNBC host breathed fire and brimstone at President Trump and all of his supporters, who Olbermann wants "prosecuted, convicted, and removed" from society.

A Southwest Airlines passenger said she was prevented from boarding her flight because her breasts were deemed “lewd, obscene and offensive”—forcing the captain to lend her his T-shirt. Irate Chicago resident Kayla Eubanks took to Twitter to document her dispute on Tuesday with ground staffers who said her low-cut black halter top was too revealing. “Y’all I was KICKED OFF my @SouthwestAir flight because my boobs are ‘lewd, obscene and offensive.’ I was told that passengers may look at me in my attire and be offended,” Eubanks tweeted along with a bathroom selfie showing her ensemble, which included a long red skirt.

San Francisco experienced a 43% year-over-year decline in sales tax revenues during the pandemic, which has been credited to an exodus from the expensive city. San Francisco’s chief economist Ted Egan attributed the drop in revenue that occurred between April and June to a flight of individuals from the city, rather than a decline in activity due to the pandemic. Egan told Fox News that while areas throughout California experienced a decline in sales tax revenues, other cities saw an uptick in online sales – but San Francisco did not.

It’s a hair-raising situation. A breed of hairy caterpillars — considered the most poisonous in the US — have recently been spotted in Virginia. The state Department of Forestry is warning residents to be on the lookout for puss caterpillars, which look soft and furry — but have hidden sharp spines that can stick to human skin. “The ‘hairs’ of this caterpillar are actually venomous spines that cause a painful reaction if touched,” the agency wrote on Facebook.
