World Series champion Aubrey Huff praised the 17-year-old gunman charged with killing two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin. “#KyleRittenhouse is a national treasure,” the ex-San Francisco Giant tweeted Wednesday night. Huff’s post, which garnered more than 2,700 likes and 1,165 retweets and comments, drew a mixed reaction of disgust and support before it was deleted Thursday morning.(Snip) He also posted, “Couldn’t imagine taking baseball instruction from an ex female softball player.” Huff’s social media activity got him excluded from the Giants’ 10-year World Series reunion in February, with the team saying his views were “unacceptable and run counter to

KR is at the center of a seminal moment in our history. Not just for the immediate circumstances of Kenosha (in and of itself, huge) but as LIVING proof as to the Second Amendment's necessity.

Good for Mr. Huff. I lean in that direction, too, for Mr. Rittenhouse, but I wish he had been working as part of a team which was better trained.
How many are aware that BY FEDERAL LAW, Mr. Rittenhouse is a member of the unorganized militia
That is a hard legal fact, according to the Militia Act of 1903.
Look up US Code 10 paragraph 311: It says:
"(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32 , under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are --
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
The exception mentioned related to former soldiers being members until age 64.
I have no idea if Mr. Rittenhouse knew this, but he is definitely a part of the unorganized militia. And he said in the interview that he was there to stop criminals from destroying businesses, proper militia business, no matter how clumsily it wound up being handled in the end.
Whether that will make any difference in court, I don't know. If presented as part of his defense, I would bet that a juror or five may consider it a good reason to vote "not guilty" if this gets that far.
The term "well regulated militia" means - well armed, well trained and well led. Militias were the norm up until WW1. Militias for cities and counties were absolutely standard, and units in the Civil War retained their state names and unit designations. I'm sure people have heard of a great, great grandfather who was in "The 3rd Company of the Second Illinois Volunteers"......that's a militia unit, they provided their own guns and uniforms, and in a few towns with wealthy patrons, even cannon. Nowdays the leftists have tried to make militia into a dirty word, but it is and was a proud heritage.

I only used the example of "Illinois Volunteers" because I had a great, great grandfather who was in the Civil War from Illinois. My wife had one in the MIssissippi militias that went for the Confederates, and there were Tennessee, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania....all states had units.

Whether justified or not, the taking of two lives is not a burden I would want any 17 year old in my family to have to live with. This is not a happy occurrence. Sad that he didn't have (or follow) better guidance.

A minor under age 18 cannot even purchase a firearm from a legal firearms dealer in the federal sense, and who knows what Wisconsin law says about a 17 year old importing a firearm into Wisconsin from Illinois where the shooter is said to reside. So that firearm could in essence be an illegal firearm under current law.
It has been reported that the shooter only fired his weapon after some sort of rioter hit him over the head with a skate board, is that true? At this point, who knows! It’s always best for the resulting criminal investigation to be completed before jumping to conclusions.

Here are some facts:
Elected officials are not doing what they were elected to do. They are enjoying the benefits and pandering to anti American anarchists.
Police officials and officers are obeying the stand down orders from their bosses the elected officials. Even if I goes against the "To protect and to serve" that is emblazoned on their vehicles and is part of the oath they swore to uphold and defend. Therefore they are not discharging their duties. They are not doing their job in order to keep their job.
Rioting, looting, property damage, assault, rape and even murder are taking place non stop in these locations. No one in positions of power is doing anything. No one.
Nature abhors a vacuum. Now, this young man has filled the vacuum. This young man has done what many if not most of the American people have thought or said should be done since it started. He drew the line in the sand. He has exercised his second amendment right.
"From time to time the tree of Liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is nature's manure"
- Thomas Jefferson
This young man has done what older paid officials have refused to do. He stood up and said NO MORE! Is he a villain or a patriot?

The way things are going, he should be fined for the unlawful possession of the firearm, maybe $10.00 and have all other charges dropped. Then receive a gofundme (or other) contribution for his service. Then learn to stick with the group in a similar situation.

#7- No one, of any age should bear the burden of having taken another humans life. That includes my uncle, who landed a Omaha beach, and a lot of comrades, who took lives in Viet Nam. It's something hard to live with, unless, apparently, you are one of the feral animals populating Chicongo or the ranks of AnitiFa/BLM.
