On Monday night, Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker, who won the trophy at the University of Georgia before starring for the New Jersey Generals of the USFL and the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL, spoke at the Republican National Convention, where he stated of President Trump, “It hurts my soul to hear the terrible names that people call Donald. The worst one is ‘racist.’ I take it as a personal insult that people would think I would have a 37-year friendship with a racist.”“I’m Herschel Walker,” he began. “Most of you know me as a football player. I’m also a father, a man of faith, and

I pray that every person who saw Herschel Walker last night or read his words this morning takes Herschel's comments to heart and think about what he said. The libs/media/radicals have lied about Trump and only desperate people lie...

Herschel just did more for African Americans than Jesse Jackson, All Sharpton, and all the other left wing leeches.
I have always said when American black people vote in the same ranges of approx 50/50 will they truly be equal and heard. When every single person in a franchise group votes 100% every single election, there is no reason to do anything but give them lip service, as the dimocrat party has done for the past 50 years.
Herschel is not only an athletic hero, he is an All American hero in the people category.

Herschel was excellent! Direct and to the point. One of the best of the many uplifting speeches. Very impressive. The RNC Convention was positive and hopeful. The DNC Convention was doom and gloom. I anticipate the Republicans will get an impressive bump in the polls and that the RNC viewership numbers will far surpass the DNC viewership. I predict that the Biden/Harris poll numbers have peaked. Donald Trump is speaking around the country while Biden is cowering in his basement. Kamala Harris has all but disappeared from TV. The Democrats realize that selecting her as their VP candidate is a BIG mistake and that Biden is a disaster.

My wife, never one to follow politics very closely, was very touched by the speech Herschel Walker delivered. He did a great job. But, when you do believe in what you are writing about, the thing writes itself.

My son was a limousine driver for a while in the Miami and West Palm Beach area, and he told of how Donald Trump would bring food out to the drivers, who were required to stand around the limos for hours, in case their client needed to leave. He would also spend time talking with them and making sure they were all taken care of. They loved him.

I love this guy. Watching him play football was pure pleasure. The joy he showed as he ran the field was so inspiring. Stay safe, and good on you for speaking up and out.

It is difficult to pick a 'best speech' from the wonderful speeches at the first night of the convention. They were ALL really wonderful, each hitting a home run or at least a line drive to the fence.
The least of the speeches were about 9.5s on a scale from 1 to 10. But Mr. Walker's stood out to me as about a 7 for delivery, (he's a football player, clearly not a polished professional speaker) but about an 11 for what he had to say. I'd put his at the top, but not disagree much with folks who have a different favorite because they were all so very good, so many wonderful stories.

I would imagine that most people would not regard Herschel Walker as one of those every day talking heads we see on daytime TV. That is what makes this amazing statement all the more meaningful. It is a beautiful sentiment straight from the heart by a man who clearly reveres the President based on extensive personal dealings with him. What an incredible endorsement from an amazing super athlete!

I thought all of the speakers delivered their speeches impeccably. The convention was positive, uplifting, upbeat and hopeful. It was a good reminder of what the Trump administration has accomplished in less than four years. I enjoyed it and plan to watch it each night on OAN in its entirety without interruption. Trump 2020.
