In terms of the reality TV show of the presidential campaign, Goodyear has caved-in to Donald Trump’s pressure and affirmed its support for law enforcement, handing a potent symbolic victory to his reelection effort. The now-notorious Topeka “zero tolerance” slide framed a simple tale of PC bullies taking over a corporation and terrorizing the employees into verbal conformity, silently hewing to the party line with all the enthusiasm of a 1986 East German. Donald Trump, the champion of the liberty of the ordinary American, fought back

I like his suggestion that "Rich", take a meeting in the WH, and chat with the Donald.
Big win.

And the part about the steelworker’s protest ? They immediately came out for the original company policy .As usual they are talking a strike soon to protest cuts to their health benefits .Obviously this will free them for more mobile “protests” this election season . They say the original policy was not political ? r i g h t .

Sorry GY the Genie is out of the bottle and it bears no resemblance to Barbara Eden but I digress.
You can't hit reverse we are making you pay for this. And by the way, we respect your right to truncate the market and position your product to the woke hipsters.

Kramer saw the future: permanent Labor Day sales at Discount Tire and Tire Rack and despite steep price cuts they just don't move the inventory. Congratulations. This is what happens when HR becomes the diversity Nazis.

We need more of this from Trump, like when these companies donate millions to BLM! Of course that won’t happen, but it would sure be fun.

Political win aside, there's another equally important lesson. Mindlessly bowing to the mob exacts a price.

The best part is how Goodyear first tried to use weasel words to deflect responsibility...read their initial response closely. Now they are caught.

"... Diversity training is pervasive and widely resented, but openly criticizing it can get you into trouble, so top management gets no real feedback."
While understanding the legal reason for hiring HR trained personnel, this sort of situation is a self-fulfilling situation. The primary reason is that the type of folks that would want to make HR a career are already indoctrinated, 'feelings' oriented leftist weasels with vindictive tendencies underlying 'woke' basics. This explains the 'criticizing HR can get you into trouble' part of the quote. Any threat to their 'kingdom' is dealt with quickly and harshly.
Sound familiar? Lots of these types of 'little kingdoms' in big government and other big businesses as well. As the article stated, upper management had no warning about the $h!t-storm heading their way all caused by a little person way down the ladder who probably couldn't tell you what his company does.

No one likes having to sit through hours of mind numbing diversity training and it truly is a waste of time IMO. For those who need instruction on how to interact with your fellow employees:
ALL employees must treat each other with kindness, dignity, and respect . No one is entitled to be treated better (or worse) than anyone else. NO ONE is any more or less special than any other employee.
If companies want to disallow political speech during working hours that is their right but then ALL political speech and clothing must be disallowed.
There ya go....... Diversity training in two short paragraphs, freely given. There is no reason why companies need to hire these trainers just to enforce the Golden Rule which is actually diversity training in a nutshell.

I was quite impressed with how fast the corporate offices for this company caved to be honest. So it was one of their facilities gone rogue? Hope lots of pink slips went out from corporate.

#11, quite right re The Golden Rule.
In fact, that alone can replace diversity training, sensitivity training, sexual harassment training and all the other crap you sit through and then “sign” to affirm you’re on board.
Glad my career is winding down.

Yep, #11 and #13.....ditch all the Diversity Training garbage and one slide replaces it.
THE GOLDEN RULE:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
That would solve a whole lot of our problems.
At the root of much violent behavior is the psychopath who cannot empathize, cannot grasp the concept of treating others the way he would like to be treated. They treat others as bugs, to be squashed at will.

Trump inviting the Goodyear president to the White House to 'discuss events' could be a really great political win.
I hope he does it.

Covert extreme leftists are able to weasel into those corporations as Human Resource (HR) managers most of the time for diversity purposes. This incident involving the Goodyear tire plant shows that it is to the benefit of corporations that corporate executives keep a weathers eye out for extreme left wing politicized HR policies that could severely damage their corporate image once they become public. It’s a given that when it comes to light that a corporation is supporting what the majority of their customer base consider to be an extremely violent political movement that is the enemy of law and order, that the corporation could easily be bound to loose about half their customer base. It’s probably already too late for Goodyear to recover a good percentage of their past customer base because of their immediate bogus reaction to the incident.

Are they sorry? Or are they sorry that they got caught?
The truth is that this IS the thinking at corporate.
