Dissecting Obama's Delusional DNC Speech

Barack Obama's speech at the DNC's misbegotten cyber-convention worked only for those Americans, including most in the media, who paid no serious attention to the eight years of Obama's presidency. (snip) What follows are some of the riffs that I, and likely they, found most entertaining. Obama began by telling us the Constitution "wasn't a perfect document," implying that he would have done better had he been there. (snip) Here was one of my favorite Obama lines: "Joe knows the world, and the world knows him." No one denies that, especially not the Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs.

I ran across a quote in a book I recently read that fits the democrat mentality perfectly: ''The sadness of evil men is that they believe no truth that does not paint the world in their colors.'' Eric Ambler

Obama in his speech, and Biden in his campaign, have continued the technique Obama used so effectively to get elected as POTUS...carefully avoid mentioning any specific policy proposals so as to avoid critical review, and conceal true agenda, while allowing his constituents to wishfully project onto him whatever special interest priorities they might hold. And while he's at it, might as well take credit for things he didn't do, and criticize sitting POTUS for things over which he had no control. It's a great tactic, perhaps even brilliant, so long as no one truly holds them accountable. Thanks, Mr. Cashill, for doing so.

FTA and from the speech... 'Obama began by telling us the Constitution "wasn't a perfect document," implying that he would have done better had he been there. Its redeeming quality was that it established "a system of representative government — a democracy — through which we could better realize our highest ideals."' See? There it is again. The word DEMOCRACY. And the author did not even CALL him on that lie. Cashill just swallowed that lie, hook, line and sinker.

#1 The problem with that quote is that the very same thing can we said about our side. But, at least, our side loves America and wants it to continue as intended by the founders. The other side hates America and is "working" (a favorite new term of there's) to destroy it. --Vets for Trump 2020

#4, I guarantee you that Jack knows the difference, but with so many "targets" in The Zero's speech, Jack has to pick and choose. These articles have only so much space allotted. Picking over every falsehood in a speech from The Zero could take months, wall to wall lies.

In Isaac Asimov's first Foundation novel, the people of the Foundation planet make use of a team who analyze text. This team analyzes the "treaty" between the Empire and the Foundation. The treaty concedes no responsibility on the part of the Empire. It is a pity such a semantic team cannot analyze Biden's "speech". He said nothing. I learned in high school that his speech was an example of "glittering generalities". If one makes an assertion, said assertion should be accompanied with an example. The assertion "I bring light" might be demonstrated by an agreement to appear in public on some fixed frequency. The assertion "Trump loves dictators" might be explained by which dictators, and what actions, show this love. The assertion "Trump did nothing about COVID-19" might be followed with specific policies which should have been followed. But no. All we got was spin. And projection. In psychology there is a type of expression called projection, in which the speaker accuses his opponent of the actions he has engaged in. Obama is master of this, but Biden comes close. Clearly Biden thinks he is hot stuff. 47 years of "public service" demonstrate otherwise.

One of the most revolting things about Joe Biden’s candidacy is his dishonest insistence that Donald Trump called white supremacists “fine people.” Democrats have successfully used this hoax to brainwash large parts of the American public into believing that Trump and his supporters are racists and anti-Semites. One wonders, therefore, how much consternation there is in Biden campaign headquarters now that Richard Spencer, one of America’s best-known neo-Nazis, is all in for Biden. To fully appreciate what should be one of the biggest stories in the presidential campaign, there are two things you need to know

It started one ordinary day, in one otherwise ordinary session: A beautiful young woman I had known for a few years wanted to cut off her breasts. (snip) So I told her. She had a long history of abuse, abandonment, and self-mutilation. Given that, I suggested, didn’t it seem like another aspect of self-hatred and rage? (snip) I urged her to take time to really consider all the ramifications (snip) For weeks afterward I found myself fighting off fears of being reported to the licensing board for not agreeing with her and realized, finally, that the whole profession had become a political platform.

The digital Democratic National Convention kicked off this week with a pre-recorded video of “America’s most impactful community leaders” reading the preamble to America’s Constitution. The various participants, mostly Democratic politicians and party activists, might be alarmed to learn that their segment featured Donna Hylton, a 55-year-old Jamaican woman convicted for the kidnapping, rape, torture, and murder of a 62-year-old Long Island real estate broker in 1986. (snip) Just yesterday, reporters bristled after President Trump refused to disavow Qanon, an online conspiracy group suggesting that the Democratic party shields rapists and pedophiles for political purposes.

If the media were to ask President Trump, "Are you a natural born citizen?," he would probably respond with, "My father, an American citizen, Fred Trump, was born in New York City, and my mother, Mary Anne, was born in Scotland and became a naturalized American citizen in March 1942.(snip) If you listened to the media, you would think there is no definition anywhere of "natural born citizen." The media assert that the clause "natural born citizen" isn't defined anywhere in the U.S. Constitution. But the media hide the fact that "natural born citizen" was specifically defined in the Naturalization Act of 1790.

Michelle Obama famously said, “When they go low, we go high.” She should have reminded her husband before he gave his speech for the online Democrat convention. Standing in a room in Philadelphia, with the words “Writing the Constitution” over his right shoulder, Obama gave a speech that almost wholly ignored Biden, whom he’d ostensibly come to praise. Instead, Obama viciously attacked Trump and did a constitutional rewrite that allowed him to cast Trump as a constitutional threat. From the start, Obama was up to his old tricks. Even while he wanted to use the Constitution to challenge Trump, he couldn’t praise it.

In a recent OpEd from The Guardian, author Larry Elliot opines on the frequency of obesity among low-income households in the U.K., and points out that the problem “in the U.S. mirrors that of the U.K.” Elliot goes on to proclaim, that, “there will be less obesity when people can afford to eat better.” The premise is that poor folks are victims of one injustice or another; in Elliot’s case, he claims they are unable to afford healthy food. This notion has been floating around for several years now, particularly as it relates to children, and is one that is frequently parroted by the left in America.

Forget the happy talk of the mainstream media. The Democrats are a coalition of mutually antagonistic factions, united only by their hatred of President Donald Trump. They couldn't even keep a lid on the conflict between the dominant radicals and the pseudo-moderates propping up senescent Joe Biden as a putative centrist. Don’t look for the mainstream media to mention this, but the Biden campaign actually disavowed one of the speakers during last night’s Democratic National Convention internet TV show, Linda Sarsour and she is muttering about retaliation at the polls.

In composing my new book, Unmasking Obama: The Fight to Tell the True Story of a Failed Presidency, I thought hard about whether I should address the question of Barack Obama's sexuality. Two considerations persuaded me to pursue the issue. One was the no-holds-barred media treatment of the sex life, real and imagined, of Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh. The second was the fact that despite Obama's early feint to the center, his presidency was something of a golden age for gay America. A May 2012 Newsweek cover story, in fact, dubbed Obama "the first gay president."
