Reagan Speechwriter: Biden Plagiarized

Wow.  Former Vice President Joe Biden, replete with a serious history of plagiarism as noted here in The New York Times in 1987 – quoting my younger self in the Reagan White House who nailed him on plagiarizing from Bobby Kennedy – is at it again. Reagan speechwriter Ken Khachigian alerted Reagan alumni, of which I am one, that in listening to Joe Biden’s introduction of running mate Senator Kamala Harris he heard …ahhhhh…something familiar.

While there is no question of Biden's penchant for plagiarism, this isn't. His words aren't word-for-word and merely using the word 'possibility' doesn't quite rise to the level of his past sins. Further, if we are supposed to believe Biden has lost his marbles, I don't think he'd be able to commit the alleged crime.

The Democrat party’s lunge to the far-left is near completion with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s pick of Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as his running mate on Tuesday. She is very much a San Francisco Democrat who assumes more and more obtrusive government rules, mandates and taxes are never enough.(snip)The U.S. economy will be in for a debilitating period of stagnation. Here’s why.Taxes will go up big time. Top tax rates on many high-income earners, for instance, will exceed 50%, hurting capital creation. GQ Magazine was forced to issue a correction after one of its columnists misidentified former segregationist Alabama Gov. George Wallace as a Republican in an effort to smear the GOP as racist. Laura Bassett, who also writes as freelance political reporter, wrote a Wednesday op-ed titled “The Anti-Abortion Movement Was Always Built on Lies,” attempting to chronicle evangelical efforts in building up the pro-life movement. The crux of Bassett’s piece rests on the foundation that the pro-life movement was “bought and paid for the Christian right,” to morph the Republican Party into the pro-life party.

President Trump continues to be his own worst enemy: On Thursday, he stooped to calling presumptive vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris a “mad woman.” That doesn’t promote his agenda. It doesn’t help him with women. It doesn’t shore up his image as worthy of the nation’s highest office. It’s just, as Trump would say, mean and nasty. Sure, Harris isn’t the first target of Trump’s ad hominem attacks or over-the-top language. But making everything personal is unbecoming. It is no secret but public knowledge that Kamala Harris slept her way up into California political life by being a very public escort and mattress for California Democrat Kingmaker Willie Brown. Willie Brown is 30 years older than Harris and was very married at the time. It was public. It was an embarrassment. With Joe Biden’s photo metaphorically the definition of the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, voters will decide in November whether they want Harris to be their president some time in the next four years. Of almost equally significant concern is what Harris represents to hard-working women across the country who devote years to their careers
