NYPD cops had a front-row seat to a five-on-one brawl—but let the violence play out rather than doing their jobs to break it up, The Post has learned.
An 11-year-old girl was slapped, punched, kicked and even shocked with a stun gun by a group of five other girls after a basketball game around 7 p.m. Sunday on East 125th Street near Madison Avenue in Harlem. During the roughly 4-minute beatdown, cops sat idly in nearby cruisers—but they didn’t get out until the girl was bloody and bruised, a Post photographer observed.

Apparently the photographer didn't help either. I guess he was too busy watching the police.

There is a lot that could be said about this article. 1st when all the police are defunded and defunked this is what life will be like all the time. ( I assume no one had the phone number of the social worker assigned to this slum.) If nothing else maybe this will show those with rose colored glasses that you really shouldn't be surprised that these people have no problem with shooting each other. Sad, disgusting mess on every level.

Let me think this over. I'm a cop. I have a pension really close. If I get in the middle of this I could end up best case fired with no pension, worst case 2nd degree murder and prison time. What color is the victim?
Where did all the sane people go ?

Better than risking the wrath of DeBlazio... NYC cops aren't getting paid to prevent or solve crime, they're just props for the Leftist/Fascists to spit on.

FTA:''The officers were met by a large crowd while attempting to come to this person’s assistance. They were outnumbered. Projectiles were thrown at them. And they were forced to reposition...''
And not one person in the large crowd came to her aid either. They all stood by and made sure the police were kept away.

If I’m a NYPD cop, I would retire out and look for a deputy job in Mayberry.

Certainly no one would expect the police to do anything in this sue happy society, and I don't blame them... If 2 tribes are fighting, who cares. That is what they do in their home continent.

Just another day in the African jungle. Animals doing what animals do. Why risk your life trying to stop nature?

Looks like a set-up, since a Post photographer just happened to be there too.
Imagine the coincidence?

Cops are told to stand down.
They were just obeying orders
Damned if they do
Damned if they don’t

The scenario that the cops are now using on the streets when they observe violent crimes being perpetrated, that of observing until the incident is over and then tending to victims, may at the moment be great for the cops, but it is very bad for the victims. But then again the cops must always take care of number one first. If the electorate in those inner cities votes out the leftist politicians who are ignoring violent activity for political purposes and puts new civic leaders in place who support the police. After that happens the police will again respond accordingly.

I'm sure I will be in the minority but I think what the police did was disgraceful. Sure, this are times of changing societal needs and the police have been put in a position from praised for being first responders during a serious infection to questions about the systemic racism in the US police forces. The officers should have gotton out of their cars, approach the disturbing activity, and taken a knee in honor of Beatup Blacks Lives Matter.

There's no way I'd intervene in a fight between feral "youths." They likely will turn on any outsider who tries to break it up. Better to let them finish and only then scoop up the loser(s) and take them to the hospital or the morgue.

If I were a cop I would not take a chance either. One or more of the girls would accuse me of touching or violating thm.The dems voted in these foolish leaders. They will probably vote dem again in the fall. So don't come crying to me when bad stuff happens.

The police aren’t at fault because the residents clearly don’t want them around nor does the duly elected mayor. Therefore, enforcing the law and helping others is off the table so the officers simply suit up, stand around doing very little during their shifts and collect their pay on the way to retirement. It is terrible but the police did not set the terms.

More disposable children. Is the blonde a tranny ?
Since they were "children" the real action is to cut off mom's welfare, which in most cases is grandma's welfare. Start arresting the guardians who can't and won't control the ferals.

Don't blame the cops. They no doubt got orders from de Blasio not to intervene in any criminal activity they see.

Is there anything sweeter than a basketball game in Harlem now that BLACK LIVES finally MATTER? Not sure why the "pigs" would want to lift a finger when there was a big crowd of Africans taking videos on their free smartphones. And look at the compassionate expressions they all bear, brimming with gratitude at being free at last.
