Those things with which we are most familiar are often hardest to see. This is perhaps particularly true of such fraught subjects as politics. There we are every day staring at the same people, reading news stories that are virtually indistinguishable from one another, and what do we know? Our situation is similar to Alice’s in Through the Looking Glass when she finds herself in a shop that seemed full of curious things. “[T]he oddest part of it all was, that whenever she looked hard at any shelf, to make out exactly what it had on it, that particular shelf was always quite empty: (Snip) I feel that way about Joe Biden.

Comments:

Kimball also cites Gertrude Klein’s remark about Oakland: “There’s no there there”…and the French newspaper Le Figaro is on the same wavelength. Kimball says Joe doesn’t make gaffes; he is a gaffe. Interesting read.

I love the final comment that "Their “news” comes from the same mendacious cloaca maxima. For those who this Latin doesn't immediately pop an image (like his use of French doesn't for me, sadly I am pretty ignorant of French ), a bit of explanation will allow you to enjoy his well deserved smear on the media. The "cloaca maxima" is the Roman (Latin) term for their primary sewer in ancient Rome, and the term is a bit of a crude one, too. Some may remember that in biology the final portion of the gastrointestinal tract of a bird is called the cloaca. So, in English the Roman sewer would be the city's "biggest colon". And calling the Enemedia's "information flow" the "biggest colon"......works for me. If anyone here is fluent in French, I'd like to understand his French comments, since they go right over my head.

FTA: The curious thing is that the Democrats do not seem to have twigged to this reality. They are like Alice in that shop of curiosities. They look straight ahead but cannot see what is staring them in the face. They should give CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, and the Washington Post a rest. Their “news” comes from the same mendacious cloaca maxima. I don’t believe Kimball was leading us into body parts when he spoke of the Cloaca Maxima - the Great Sewer. In fhe Roman Forum, one of the first sewage systems. The French phrase following his “Invention” comment means “from beginning to end”. Confabulation is often a feature of dementia. Employed to make up for loss of memory. SloJoe has been confabulating for much - if not all - of his life. A shrink would have a swell time analyzing what all that would be about. This amateur would diagnose it as feelings of inadequacy. A need to make himself seem to be more than he is, to have experienced more than he has experienced, to be more macho than he knows he is…. In short, you cannot believe a word he says.

"the Democrats do not seem to have twigged to this reality" I'm sure that many of them know exactly what they are dealing with but think they can lie their way through it. After all, they have kept "Russian collusion alive for 4 years and Schiffty and others still lie about it. They only need this lie to last for 6 more months. They they can embalm Joe and put the VP in place. The problem is a little thing called an election where they need to bamboozle the American People who are fed up with dems and already KNOW Joe is mentally incompetent.

Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has dropped over 25,000 felony cases, including charges of murder and the alleged hate crime hoax from former Empire star Jussie Smollett, according to an analysis released by the Chicago Tribune on Monday. The Chicago Tribune reported: During Foxx’s first three years as the county’s top prosecutor, her office dropped all charges against 29.9% of felony defendants, a dramatic increase over her predecessor, the Tribune found. For the last three years of Anita Alvarez’s tenure, the rate was 19.4%. In all, a total of 25,183 people had their felony cases dismissed under Foxx through November 2019, up from 18,694 for a similar period under Alvarez.

As we enter the final 90 days of the November presidential campaign, a few truths are crystalizing about the “Biden problem,” or the inability of a 77-year-old Joe Biden to conduct a “normal” campaign. Biden’s cognitive challenges are increasing geometrically, whether as a result of months of relative inactivity and lack of stimulation or just consistent with the medical trajectory of his affliction. This weekend, Spygate insider Steven Schrage broke his silence. In “The Spies Who Hijacked America” and a follow-up appearance on Maria Bartiromo’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Schrage detailed the origins of Stefan Halper’s meeting with then-Trump advisor Carter Page. Halper would later serve as a confidential human source (CHS) for the Crossfire Hurricane probe, secretly recording multiple conversations with Page, as well as Trump advisor George Papadopoulos. But it is what Schrage revealed about Halper’s initial non-interest in Page then Halper’s prediction on January 10, 2017, that Michael Flynn would not last long in the Trump administration that suggest significant revelations will be forthcoming from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins

Hundreds of people swept through the Magnificent Mile and other parts of downtown Chicago early Monday, smashing windows, looting stores, confronting police and at one point exchanging gunfire with officers, authorities said. The officers had stopped several people on Lake Street near Michigan Avenue when shots were fired from a passing car around 4:30 a.m., nearly five hours into the widespread vandalism, according to police spokesman Tom Ahern. No officers were shot but a squad car was hit, he said. It was not known if anyone in the gunman’s car was shot. Ahern said other officers were injured through the night.
