We have watched our society slide into a disturbing trend of permissiveness when it comes to assaulting and removing aspects of our culture. Between evictions of historical monuments, the eradicating of entertainment properties and the condemning of commonplace practices, we have almost become conditioned to accepting these efforts. Now we may be seeing the effects of this movement metastasizing.
The Wall Street Journal delivered a lengthy treatise that looks at a normal aspect of American life, one that almost nobody looks at as being a nefarious component in our existence, with contempt: driving pickup trucks.

If the Ryan Cooper in the article knew how close he was to the truth, he wouldn't be laughing so hard.
Maybe these academics ought to try something simple and more effective than anything their minds have tried so far, watching out for others that are almost certainly more important and decent than they are.

"Academics" started going south when we deinstitutionalized our mental patients.

What the Denali needed was one of those deer catcher accessories that all the pick-ups in the Texas Hill Country seem to have. That would probably work on liberal journalists and college professors, just like rutting big deer.

So I see I must include my truck in the lectures I deliver to my guns for under performing. How can one guy get so many defective inanimate objects.
Just be aware of one thing little Antifa pansies and BLM sissies, my truck is my mobile autonomous zone and some day if you make the wrong move my lectures might just have an affect.

Far more likely you will be taken out by the local suburban female in her BMW blasting through the local parking lot while texting. You really have to be aware of what is coming your way.

The article didn't say where this weenie lives, just that it has a Costco. He definitely isn't talking about my corner of South Louisiana. Pickups outnumber cars and a lot of them are driven by little ladies. If he can convince Sleepy Joe to announce his ban on P/U trucks on his 1st day in office, that will garner the President more votes than he will get from gun owners.

Manscaper Dan should have felt some kinship except this moment reminded him he has no gonads.

Anti-pickup people either A: cant afford one, or B: Have enough money to pay others to move themselves from one home to another, do home repairs and deliver. C: Have a friend that owns a pickup thats willing to help them when the Prius just wont do the job.
You can thank the government CAFFE standards for killing off the station wagon.

I'm not a fan of pickups. Most people who own them where I live don't use them for what they were built for, and treat them like sports cars. Plus, I'm not a slow driver by any definition of the term, but there are days when if I see one more pickup riding my butt, I'd be willing to open fire.

It's not the pickups that are tail gating you #10, its the stupid drivers in your area. In my area of the country we use pickups for what they are designed for. Hauling things and traversing back roads as well as deep winter snows. If these libtards keep it up though, I could be pressed to accidentally run over a few of them.

Love me some big trucks. All the real men I know who drive them, love them. Son and friend removed an engine from a Dodge Ram and installed a rebuilt in my garage. I stood behind it as they finished and noticed that the rear bumper was as high as my chest. Article should be called ''Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Truck?'' If Ryan Cooper doesn't like the way I drive, he should stay off the sidewalk.

Yeah, right...... cancel pickups????? In PA where I live every other vehicle on the road is a pickup. There is a pickup (or two) in every driveway in my neighborhood.
If any politician on the left even HINTED that he or she was interested in banning pickups there would never be another dem in the White House or any statehouse in my lifetime or maybe even longer.

They'll have to pry the steering wheel of my wife's F-250 diesel from her cold dead fingers. Electric cars do poorly in pulling large horse and stock trailers.
