The subscriptions and revenues for ESPN are plummeting at an increasingly fast rate, as the network has replaced its sports coverage with leftist propaganda.
Analyst Rich Greenfield recently looked at Disney and ESPN’s reports and found very troubling numbers for the sport network and its parent company.
ESPN’s loss in subscribers is also shocking for its size. The loss of subscribers continues and is down another six percent year-over-year.
So far, this year’s subscriber loss has accelerated over past years. The sports network was down 4.5 percent in the first quarter, off 5.5 percent in the second quarter, and down a whopping 6 percent in the third quarter.

Just like CNN, they don't care about ratings as long as the can use this as a vehicle to get out their radical message.

After years of faithful DirecTV subscribership, I just this month canceled my service. It ends August 8th, and I have to return my DVR, set-top box, and remotes. When asked why I was quitting, I told the (foreign-sounding) man on the other end of the line that "My family is not into woke sports or SJW entertainment." To my surprise, he offered neither an argument nor a deal to stay. So, that's that.

It’s not that hard.
Go woke.
Go broke.
But we’re finding an inverse correlation between wokeness and IQ.

Average revenue per user (ARPU) was once above $7 and ESPN kept demanding - and usually getting - more. It's barely above $4 now and ESPN has the millstone of a $1 Billion NBA contract to pay for.
This was largely behind the decision to 'go woke' and become the sports version of BET, putting two black racists Jemele Hill and Michael Smith in the anchor chairs for the evening SportsCenter. Tweets, beefs and feuds between barely-literate jocks were treated with great reverence as they turned the NBA into some sort of pro wrestling drama.

I'm very surprised that espn is even still around. At my gym, none of the tv's are tuned to it anymore because folks became tired of Stephen Smith's non-stop jousting with his on-set colleagues. And there's no sports games to broadcast. Now, espn has polluted itself with racism and political correctness. And with the college football season about to cancelled, it is over for what was once a good sports channel. Espn will be gone within a year.

Here's the question - If a woke television station sends out a broadcast but no one is watching or listening is it really broadcasting? Does a bear poop in the woods? Like the other poster said, "Go woke, go broke". I'm right with you.

Cut the cord 4 years ago. There’s still 100s of channels to stream for free, dozens of channels broadcast for free and STILL not much worth watching. At least we’re not paying $$$$ for what we don’t watch.

They don't care about making a profit any more than Hillary's book publisher. These leftist will be propped up by Soros et al.
Our impact will not be in removing money, but in removing the audience for their message. We need to boycott all pro sports.
If you are a patriot, you must break your addiction to highly paid performers. It's not real competition anyway - most games are rigged by either players or refs for gamblers needing a particular point spread. Stop being a sucker!

My cable company decided to package Turner Classic Movies with a sports package and charge extra for it. When I called to find out why TCM had gone dark, they tried to get me to buy the package. I told them "no thanks." It has been months, and I'm not sorry I passed on their "offer."

The national suicide continues. Big Bang Theory is the best comedy show ever and I amuse myself by watching reruns over and over. Last night they posted a message, "All lives will not matter until black lives matter." Sayonara suckers, I've watched my last episode.

Guy named Clay Travis covers this phenomenon. One thing he notes is that while ESPN is shedding viewers, DTV is really losing since AT&T took over and ruined the network.

No matter what package I pick from my tv provider, ESPN is part of it. So I just don't watch it.

It would happen ever faster were it not for bundling. Most people can’t cancel ESPN because it’s included in their cable package. This is wrong on many levels. People should be able to choose what they want to pay for and not be forced to pay for something they don’t want.

I've always wanted a' la carte programming, but nobody offers it. I can't stand how a half dozen channels support the other hundreds of channels, and I have to support them. Since they went woke, I cancelled all TV. I have a house full of TVs, and I now Chrome cast youtube, bitchute, and a few others. Reduced my cable bill to minimum internet speeds to stream videos, podcasts and music. So happy now.

#12 NATGEO is running the same ad I did the same just quit watching them. I was on the verge of quitting viewership of NATGEO because much of the narrative before was 'global warming'.
I quit the NFL five seasons ago, never watched NBA with the American hating black warlord Lebron now this year my beloved baseball has died on the pitcher's mound with a BLM logo. All the sports teams and ESPN can't die fast enough for me.

I'm not sorry. I used to enjoy ESPN back when they talked sports and sports was fun. I won't even turn my head to watch them now.

I don't watch any sports since they got woke. They are cutting their own throats but are to stupid to realise it. I am also looking for alternatives to satellite tv.

Cable/satellite TV is not worth 10% of what they charge. 175 channels of food shows, marketing channels, liberal msm, stupid programs like The View, and leftist programming.
If you do happen to find a program to watch, you are subjected to more commercials than program, and they are all the same- every three minutes!

I bought OTA antennas 18 months ago. No more $100+ monthly fees for garbage I don't watch. Between Amazon Prime and BritBox at $8.00 each per month, there are lots of options to watch, ad free in most cases.

We're down to simple antenna TV in my home. My sweet wife even makes me change the channel on the local news the minute sports news begins with any team's basketball court showing the words, "Black Lives Matter." I'm happy to comply.
Oh, and whenever we receive a call for a poll or survey, we say, "No, we don't participate in polls." Click.

The fools in charge of major league sports are flushing the entire industry down the drain.
Good riddance. How many of those millionaire black players will be able to earn even $50K per year after they get dumped from their closed leagues? Maybe 10%, but I might be over estimating their skills beyond playing games.

My wife and I canceled our satellite-TV subscription a few months ago. I can’t think of a single bit of ESPN programming that I’ve missed in that time, even taking the virus shutdowns into consideration. ESPN reminds me of MTV in terms of how it’s devolved from one thing to full-blown cultural and political propaganda.
