"This video includes false claims that a group of people is immune from COVID-19 which is a violation of our policies around harmful COVID misinformation," Facebook spokesperson Liz Bourgeois told FOX News in a statement.
The same clip was also shared by the Trump campaign's Twitter account - @teamtrump - and retweeted by the president himself.
A Twitter spokesperson told Fox News the tweet is "in violation of the Twitter rules on COVID-19 misinformation" and that the Trump campaign will "be required to remove the Tweet before they can Tweet again."

Figuratively, shots fired. Return salvo for attempts to hold Silicon Valley accountable for editing and censoring. Ya'll can't have it both ways.

This is ridiculous. Either these platforms are free speech zones allowing anyone to speak their mind regardless of content, or they are publishers who approve and censor content. They can't have it both ways.
If they want to act like publishers then they should be subject to regulation the same as any other newspaper, magazine and news outlet. Who appointed them as the arbiters of truth anyway?
I've certainly read enough about the dangers of hydroxichloroquine use..."It will KILL you" they screeched on Twitter...news to my friend who's taken it daily for 24 years. How many people died because they were frightened to take the medication? That's only one example. I'm sure that every poster knows an example of other lies that they have circulated, or truths they have censored.

According to Johns Hopkins University, there are more than 4.8 million coronavirus cases in the United States. More than 1.5 million Americans have recovered, while more than 157,000 Americans have died. Pray tell, what has happened to the other 3.3 million people if they have the virus but have not recovered.

Trump stated that children are less susceptible to CV19. Facebook and Twitter are just using this as an excuse to silence him.
Trump's enemies have been trying to silence him since before he was elected. They have been unsuccessful until now. Now they are unilaterally silencing him. So much for Freedom of Speech. Are we sure there hasn't been a coup? Forcibly removing from office would be too obvious. Instead, they are silencing him, bypassing his authority, and containing him.

By banning this, more people than ever will actually see what he said. I would never have seen it - no Farcebook nor Twizzler for me. Prohibition doesn’t work.

Well, here in Texas, there have been (as of today) 7,497 deaths caused by Covid (Texas isn't listing a death as a 'Covid death' unless it was the primary cause of death). Of those almost 7.500 deaths, ZERO have been children under ten. So even if you technically can't say they are immune, they ain't gonna die from it!

If there is a law that everyone must be correct in what they say, there is going to be a lot of silence in this country. I have never met a perfect person. It seems unlikely that Twitter could understand everything Trump says, their having a perspective, which I would bet does not include a business perspective from a lifetime of experience in the real estate industry. And I doubt Twitter could look at things outside their understanding, knowledge, and imagination, and determine if something is correct. A lot of people never understood anything about Steve Jobs, but he got a lot of products invented that a lot of customers seem to like. I think he got fired once.

I didn't know FB and Tweety were run by prominent doctors. They both need to be broken up or sued by the DOJ.

These platforms enjoy immunity from legal issues associated with the contents of posters on their sites. The only exceptions are content that is personally abusive. Given this, there is NO reason to censure the free exchange of information. That they should censure the President of the US based on THEIR determination that they disagree with what is says is abhorrent. Their immunity from prosecution should be removed and let them suffer the consequences of their actions. They will be buried in law suits and go crazy trying to adjust the behavior of their platforms trying to comply with the legal nigglings that result. It will also be an impossible task. Someone will always find something that slipped through and new lawsuits will result.
Their only recourse is to stop trying to play government. They are not given that power.
