Someone leaked police body cam footage of George Floyd’s arrest to the Daily Mail. There are two videos, embedded below. Make of them what you will. To me, what is most striking is how crazy Floyd was from the beginning. The officers tried to get him out of the vehicle in which he was parked and into their squad car so they could take him to a police station and book him for passing a counterfeit bill. This proved impossible. Floyd, in a highly emotional state, was yelling, “Don’t shoot me! Don’t shoot me!” when there was no prospect of his being shot.

The biggest "tell" to me was - - Floyd claiming to be "claustrophobic" in a police car - - when moments before he wasn't "claustrophobic" in his own car! He also claimed that he "couldn't breathe" - - when he was in the back of the police car - - with no pressure whatsoever on his neck or throat.
Floyd was a career criminal - - and a career liar. He killed himself with his own bad behavior. Not a drop - - not a smidgen - - of sympathy from this corner.

Floyd had 'no life threatening injuries identified' in the official autopsy report: he did have severe heart disease and high blood pressure, to which he added a cocktail of marijuana, fentanyl, speed, and a bit of morphine. There were dabs of other stuff like caffeine and the metabolites of the above illegal drugs and tobacco. The video makes the effects of the drugs vivid.
Unlike Jeffrey Epstein... you get the picture.

So, is the arresting officer going to be given up as a sacrificial lamb, or are we going to have a repeat (of repeats of the current riots) like the Rodney King riots after the arresting officers in that case were initially found not guilty?

The thing that has bothered me about this from the start is where is there any proof, or even any video that possibly could show, that this was a "racist" attack?
The officer used a lot of force, and Floyd died in the process. So you could make an argument that maybe the officer was on a "power trip" and abused his power in the arrest. I wouldn't personally convict him even of that if I were on the jury and watching this video.
But for this to have become the so-called "proof" of how racist officers are towards black men and set off all these current race riots and destruction -- well it certainly doesn't hold up to any level of proof of that. The officer never called him a racist name. He never said anything to imply that he was treating him in a certain way during his arrest because he was black.
But, as lie-berals have proven over and over and over again, you don't need any proof (or even logic, reason or facts) to jump to conclusions when you are a lie-beral. If it "feels" racist, it must be. So lets go destroy a lot of black-owned businesses, burn down black neighborhoods, and set back race-relations decades because we "feel" like we should!!!!

The thing is...we are NEVER going to go back to the way things were. I have no idea how police will be expected to do their job. The rules are such that they assume a level of cooperation from the perp. When there is no cooperation, cops do and did what they had to do in order to do their jobs. That will no longer be allowed. It will not take long for the predators among us to notice. Media has fostered the fallacy of brutality against Blacks by hoisting every single possible offence - and indeed, some were horrific offences - as far up the Outrage Meter as possible, regardless of circumstances. We are intentionally waved away from making a distinction. The populace learns by osmosis: brutal police hunt down Black Lives Matter innocent victims hands up I can't breathe Trump is a racist White supremacy privilege defund reparations. It took a LOT of extraordinary pushing of these negative narratives, over many years and administrations, but the tipping point HAS been breached. And the thing is...we are NEVER going back.
So...How shall we go forward?

Floyd played it to the hilt - and then some. Do these jailbirds give each other acting lessons? A true method actor - he gave himself a heart attack with his hysterics

It’s way more powerful when you introduce fentanyl and meth into your body via an enema...it’s called “plugging” or “booty bumps”...he even told the police he had ingested the drugs in that manner...

George Floyd was: High. Guilty as sin and he knew it. Un-compliant. Resisting arrest.
What the cops need is a foolproof way to subdue very big & powerful men who outweigh the cops and cannot be convinced to be compliant. These fools need to be immobilized to protect themselves from themselves, as well as the cops who have to deal with this nonsense.

Hinderaker observes the issues but soft pedals the conclusion. The officers discussed "excited delirium" and the drug test results and his behavior confirm that truth. That can result in violent behavior, extraordinary strength, paranoia (fear of things not really happening (don't shoot me)), confusion, hallucination, fast heart rate, etc. including death. Fentanyl overdose can cause respiratory distress. This made Floyd unpredictable and dangerous, to the officers and nearby civilians. The officers restrained him and called for medical assistance. Holding Floyd down was a reasonable and required policing technique. There was NO bruising so minimal force was used.
Floyd died because he was in poor health and he used very dangerous illegal drugs. Certainly the confrontation with the police increased his tension and may have contributed to triggering his death. Should the police allow a drug crazed, potentially very dangerous man to wander around?
As Hinderaker states, I am not an expert. Maybe the police made some minor mistakes. But they did not "murder" Floyd. They were not racist. They were doing their jobs. Yes, the optics were terrible. We ask police to stand between us and terrible things. Floyd was one of those terrible things because he made himself crazy and dangerous by using drugs. His death was tragic but self inflicted.
It's also tragic that we can't have an honest discussion about what really happened here. Blacks are often their own worst enemies and liberals are making bad situations worse because REAL solutions become impossible when truth is ignored and lies are put in its place.

How about if from now on ONLY African Americans can be street cops? Wouldn't that at least end the charges of racism?
