More than 150 rounds were fired during a shooting in a Portland neighborhood on Friday, ending the city's deadliest month since the 1980s. The Portland Police Bureau said Saturday that the shooting occurred around 11.08pm outside an apartment building near the 600 block of NE 87th Avenue. A woman was struck in the arm by one of the rounds, police said. Responding officers applied a tourniquet and she was transported to the hospital by ambulance with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported to police; however, bullets struck at least eight occupied apartments and seven vehicles.

Comments:

If only they'd disband the police. Meanwhile, apart from the lone wild-eyed bLACK guy they let hold the megaphone for PR purposes, the entire crowd of domestic insurgents in the accompanying riot photos consists of WHITE people following instructions received from our government-run Marxist school systems.

The press has to stop blaming the George Floyd death for the anarchy. He was only the spark that unleashed the Useful Idiots. I don't see many black faces at these 'gatherings', because they are typical Communist run and backed riots.. Is the FBI too busy investigating itself to investigate this?

They should send a social worker to calm the situation down! Who knows if that photo actually depicted real veterans or stolen valor veterans, that really does not matter, because leftist and liberal Democrat individuals have always joined the US military and have a right to “peacefully protest”.

They are demonstrating their impressive firearms proficiency. They REALLY don't want to start this civil war that they seem so hell bent on. I would expect to have at least 4 dozen down if I fired 5 mags full. They are, fortunately, just as competent with firearms as they are with all the other aspects of their lives, which is to say, completely incompetent.

Locking the country down “really hard” for a period of several weeks could save the economy from long-term pain, the president of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank said Sunday. In an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Neel Kashkari said that the only way to have “a real robust economic recovery” is to quash the flare-ups of the coronavirus that continue to pop up across the country. Shutting things down “for a month or six weeks” would allow the nation’s case count to get low enough that the government’s testing and contact tracing efforts could effectively contain future spreading, Kashkari said,

Catching coronavirus on public transport is far less likely than once feared, fresh data suggests. Trains, buses and planes were earmarked as potential Covid-19 hotspots by experts around the world at the start of the crisis. This is because Covid-19 thrives in enclosed indoor spaces with little ventilation and densely packed crowds of people. But research suggests that, if masks are worn and social distancing is adhered to, the chance of the virus spreading on public transport is minimal. Contact tracing studies looking into hundreds of Covid-19 clusters in France, Austria and Japan linked fewer than 1 per cent

The structure, also known as the Francis Griffith Newlands Memorial Fountain, reveals the words “NEWLANDS MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN” chiseled into the stone in his honor. More alarmingly, earlier that day, American planes had rained down leaflets warning of an imminent attack. Hideko's fears proved well-founded. Despite a sophisticated alert system and a decade of air defense drills, the arrival just after midnight of a wave of B-29 bombers plunged Toyama into chaos.
