Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell knows Republicans in his chamber are going to face tough campaigns this year to hold on to their majority in November.
"We've got a lot of seats to defend all over the country, and in about seven or eight places, it’s like a knife fight in an alley already, and we very much understand the Senate could go either way," McConnell said Wednesday on Fox News's The Story with Martha MacCallum.
McConnell's comments come as a new analysis by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report shows a bleak outlook for several GOP senators who are losing ground to their Democratic challengers.

If the republicans would get out in front of the cameras and keep repeating the differences, the democrats promote and encourage the criminal element, tearing down and destroying and republicans want to protect, revitalize, rebuild and open up the country. The things this president stands for are the things most Americans want and care about. Law and order (support the police and allow them to do their job, safe cities, jobs (getting back to work), unity (democrats want to divide), border control, economics by lower taxes, no sanctuary cities, freedom to worship, equal education (choice of schools). This needs to be driven home and repeated over and over.

Its hard for them to campaign from under their desks. I've not heard one word of support for Trump from my GOP senator. Just mindless platitudes and pictures with the Hooterville Chamber of Commerce and the sewage workers union.

Try being real. The republicans allowed Mueller to go on for years with zero evidence. Hint to McConnell ...stop being a Romney.

The bigger danger is Biden "winning" a corrupted election and getting the Swamp back into power. It won't matter who has the majority.

That's McConnell's biggest problem...being on defense...try being on the offense..state the many positives Trump has accomplished, do ads on the millions of $$ & hours the dems have spent trying to get rid of Trump, the fake impeachment, the corruption at the JD & other agencies during the Obama years. Grow up Mitch & learn to fight like you did during the Kavanaugh hearings.

It’s up to the voters to be smarter than their representatives and keep the Senate in Republican control, regardless of the quivering types like McConnell. It’s far more preferable than to have Schumer at the helm!

When Donald Trump took office, the bases were loaded with a republican president, republican majority in the senate, and republican majority in the house of representatives. But, Paul Ryan, speaker of the house was at the plate and chose to be called out on strikes without swinging. The time was perfect to pass legislation that would require photo ID to vote in a federal election, limit voting only to US citizens, and address other voting laws to make that process less subject to manipulation. But, Paul Ryan did nothing, and two years later, the democrats took control of the house and spent all of their efforts attacking Donald Trump 24/7. The democrats could not have hoped for a bunch of republicans in power such as Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and Jeff Sessions. These three proved to be top-level republican swamp creatures, and felt threatened by Donald Trump.

Would’ve been one helluva opportunity for some leadership in the senate.
Meanwhile we have ONE Republican in the House . Jim Jordan. I reckon the others are ‘staying safe’

Don't worry, folks. We still have the Pubbie Senate leadership on our side!
After Fightin' Roy Blunt - - Bulldog John Thune - - Battlin' John Cornyn - - and Mad Dog Mike Enzi swing into action - - the demonrats won't know what hit them. You won't be able to turn on your television - - without seeing one or all of the Fearsome Foursome fighting ferociously for the American way of life. They'll be on your TV screen more than Joe Namath, Tom Selleck, or Mike Lindell.
I love our fighting Senate guys!

One of the reasons so many of them face losing their elections is because they sold out OUR President.
The Americans who vote for Trump expected republicans to stand behind the President we elected.
Those who did not SHOULD be gone.
If we lose the Senate it will, be their own fault.

The GOP holds the Senate, a 5-4 advantage in the SC and the POTUS and yet they play defense. They are cowards.

McConnell like the rest of numb nuts in Washington live and die by the poll. Never mind the polls are rarely correct, and especially after 2016. Instead of worrying about losing, McConnell should be thinking about how he can use the increased majority he's going to have after November.

Mitch is so predictable...every two years we need a conservative majority in the Senate for judges, etc. Then the next four we get mush from Lindsay and "It's the best we can do" compromises. This is what one gets demanding "Do something" from the UNIPARTY.

Trump gave the Republicans the majority, and will have to campaign around the country again this time. McConnell never leaves his home for anybody. Trump has said he will also campaign for House members. Trump has to do everything. The Republican Party does nothing, and will do nothing, and never has done anything. Trump is the only initiative, only energy, in the Republican Party. It is Trump vs. the Democrats, one person against the whole criminal gang.

Yes, by hiding out, pushing RINO candidates, and fighting hard against good conservative candidates the worthless cowardly RINOs in charge are risking the Senate.
But understand - McConnell would MUCH rather LOSE the Senate than have a bunch of Trump supporting conservative Senators elected. And he is happy to make that bargain.

Mitch would like anything more than being the minority leader. He can go along with the democrat agenda while blaming them at the same time.

And being on defense is the problem here, especially with Turtle Face McMilquetoast in charge!! The GOP should be on OFFENSE, forcing Senate leftists to defend their votes on impeachment, budgets, police reform and anything else their decisions have screwed up in this country!! You don't win by curling up in a ball and whining for Mommy!! Dang shame that Turtle and co don't understand this!!
