Riots for thee, but not for me

A funny thing happened on the way to the riots. Left-wing revolutionaries discovered ‘NIMBY!’ — Not In My Backyard. The first hint came in May when the sports reporter Chris Martin Palmer tweeted ‘Burn that s*** down!’ cheering on low-income housing in Minnesota being set ablaze. But then the rioters came for him. Distraught, Palmer tweeted out an SOS. ‘They just attacked our sister community [note the woke gender designation] down the street,’ he furiously typed. ‘It’s a gated community and they tried to climb the gates.’ A mysterious ‘they’ then had to ‘beat them back’. And it got worse. ‘They destroyed a Starbucks.’

The audacity. They destroyed a coffee shop. Now the homeless have to shoot up on the street again.

It happens in every revolution: there are the cheerleaders to egg on the revolutionaries until it’s their turn to ride the tumbrel to “la guillotine.”

These people are idiots, they are unable to learn. And the much bigger problem is the lesser idiots who are smart enough to run away, but are still not smart enough to stop voting for Democrats. So the filibusters and electoral college would not protect this country from falling into collective madness.

I have no idea who Palmer is, but I suspect he was on ESPN. The so called sports reporters on that network have for years ranted like Communists. I guess being a sports reporter these people think their rants will fly under the radar disguised as sports reporting.

It's amazing how fast these woke warriors can lose their feelings for justice when the mob doesn't recognize their special rights as elites. Like a no-fly list, there needs to be a no-gun list. They've been wanting us unarmed and unable to defend ourselves for years, so let them experience the feeling of helplessness. I'm waiting for one of our anti-gun politicians armed guards to shoot a rioter and see how the LSM treats that story.

Like the wind turbine and solar panels story the greenies are all for them but NIMBY like the Kennedys did when they wanted to put them offshore in sight of the Kennedy Compound. Bold talk until it's presented in front of you like the jerk weed sports announcer and his beloved Starbucks where the workers wear BLM black shirts for solidarity.

The whole structure of the Left is stupid and pathetic. They are completely irrational in that they have emotional opinions but NO RATIONAL THOUGHT about their goals and actions. Here's a for example: If government is to take all the money, except for a minimal allowable amount, run it through the inefficient system and lose some-to graft and corruption, then distribute the rest to EVERYONE. How much do you think an individual will get? Less than a poverty level income. How do we know this? Because this is what happens in EVERY Socialist country. Without personal incentive, creativity, productivity, and growth STOPS. There is no more money from the "rich" for government to take because no one is rich. Socialism "sounds" good but is horrible in execution. It is anti human. Yet, this is what the brainless foo foo class advocates. They don't understand ANYTHING about the realities of what they are asking for. Is what we have perfect? Of course not. Humans are involved and they tend to screw things up. But if an individual screws up, he pays the price and hopefully learns from it. When the government screws up, EVERYONE suffers and the government bureaucracy is almost immune from learning. The reality is that top down decisions are often the worst possible because the bureaucracy is rarely right and the impact of their bad decisions affect millions, often the most vulnerable in society. This is obvious to thoughtful people. It is a mystery to the Left beautiful people chic.

If the Portland riots were happening in DC’s Georgetown neighborhood or in Beverly Hills, you can bet that Antifa and BLM would be shut down in a matter of hours.

A medical investment firm staffed by former Vice President Joe Biden’s son-in-law, Dr. Howard Krein, and co-founded by Howard’s brother, Steven Krein, received a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan in April, less than two weeks before Biden publicly criticized the Trump administration’s management of the program. Howard Krein, who is married to Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, and also serves as an informal advisor to the Biden campaign, is the chief medical officer of StartUp Health, which as of September 2018 had built up an investment portfolio valued at over $31 million. The firm received a PPP loan valued between $150,000 and $350,000 on April 12

Former spy chief Richard Grenell defended President Trump from media critiques about his handling of intelligence about alleged Russian bounties on the heads of U.S. troops. Grenell, who oversaw the 17-member U.S. intelligence community from Feb. 20 to May 26, clashed with CNN's Jake Tapper on Twitter on Friday after the State of the Union moderator chided Trump for claiming ignorance of the reports of a Russian spy unit paying Taliban fighters to kill coalition forces in Afghanistan. President Donald Trump scored a legal victory Friday as a federal appeals court upheld a lower court ruling tossing out a libel lawsuit filed against him by adult film star Stormy Daniels over a tweet Trump fired off about her in 2018. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals accepted arguments by Trump’s lawyers that he was merely offering his opinion and not leveling any factual claims of his own when he issued the tweet casting doubt on her claims that she faced intimidation as she prepared to go public with allegations that she and Trump had a sexual encounter.

Darren Wilson is the former Ferguson, Missouri police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown, who assaulted him. The shooting was a wholly justified act of self defense. Yet, it triggered the Black Lives Matter movement. It’s fitting that a phony justice movement originated with a phony claim of police misconduct. Wilson has been cleared of any criminal conduct by a grand jury and by the Obama-Holder Justice Department. But the left never gives up. Thus, as Bill Otis notes, yet another prosecutor, Wesley Bell elected in 2018, reopened the investigation of Wilson. Bell, who is African-American, gained office by attacking Robert McCulloch, the incumbent prosecutor. McCulloch led the grand jury proceeding

At 8:46 a.m. on Thursday, President Trump issued his wildly irresponsible tweet suggesting the November election be delayed — yet another reminder that Trump is contributing to the breakdown of America’s democratic institutions just when it needs them the most. Then, only two hours later, we got a reminder of where Trump might have gotten the idea that our democratic institutions don’t deserve respect: from his wildly irresponsible predecessor. During his eulogy at the funeral of the civil-rights hero John Lewis, Obama called for a degree of norm-shattering in service of the partisan interests of the Democrats that will, quite simply, tear this country asunder.

The New York Times Guild raised eyebrows on Friday for recommending "sensitivity reads" as part of the paper's publication process. The group of unionized journalists revealed they have met with Times leadership earlier in the month, stressing that the paper needs "a top-to-bottom resetting of priorities to improve the working conditions of our colleagues of color." The guild urged its employer to diversify its workforce to 24 percent Black employees and over 50 percent people of color by 2025 as an apparent reflection of the New York City population. They also called for a minimum of job applicants to be people of color and that staff of color should be added

The FBI said Thursday that the bureau found just two “material” errors in an audit of 29 applications to surveil American citizens, an error rate that pales in comparison to the 17 “significant” problems discovered in applications for surveillance orders against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page. In a statement, the FBI said that the two errors found in the 29 applications likely would not have changed the FISA Court’s decision to grant the underlying surveillance orders. “None of the errors that had been identified by DOJ-OIG undermined or otherwise impacted the validity of the FISC’s orders,” the FBI said in a statement, according to Fox News.

The Democrats’ surrender in Portland, coming so precipitously after the appearance by Attorney General Barr before the Judiciary Committee in the House, looks like a favorable development, insofar as it goes. It may be too soon for victory to be declared by America’s government and other allies of moderation, law, and order. We’d like to think, though, that the capitulation in Portland suggests that principle can prevail. The deal was struck Wednesday, the day after Mr. Barr laid down the law before the House Judiciary Committee: “Since when is it okay to try and burn down a federal court,”

After a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals ordered Judge Emmet Sullivan to grant the Department of Justice’s motion to dismiss the prosecution of Gen. Michael Flynn before Judge Sullivan had ruled on the motion, Sullivan petitioned for review by the full D.C. Circuit. Two of the three judges on the panel were appointed by Republicans. By contrast, most of the judges on the full court were appointed by Democrats. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the full court has decided to review the panel’s order. To be fair, the panel’s order is arguably erroneous. Granting a writ of mandamus, as the panel did, is an extraordinary measure.

Well, according to the resolution, the Seattle Police Department perpetuates racism and violence. Oh, yes, and it’s a vehicle of white supremacy.
