When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex dropped their "Megxit" bombshell seven months ago, all hell broke loose behind palace gates.
With the couple having blindsided the Queen by releasing their shock sayonara on Instagram, aides were thrown into such a frenzy that there were reports of courtiers holding a phone to each ear in scenes akin to a trading floor at the height of a financial crash.
Yet as The Firm's major shareholders take stock of the fallout from the serialisation of "Finding Freedom", a sympathetic biography of Harry and Meghan seemingly written with their blessing (something the couple have denied), the mood in the gilt-edged corridors of royal power appears

They have a growing problem in that people are losing interest in this couple. Certainly in the US and more and more in the UK. They have gone from one woke cause to another hoping to stir up interest and become “important “ again but the world is moving on. A divorce in a couple of years won’t surprise me. Either that or drifting through life like Eddie and Wallis....aging grifters mostly forgotten.

One of Harry's more ridiculous claims is his brother's "snobbishness". If William was a snob he would not have married a 'commoner'.

No doubt that Miss. Meghan put a world class Hollywood “hummer” on old Harry that knocked his block off and left him completely p-whipped.where they go from here is anyone’s guess.

And Kate didn't treat MM the way MM wanted to be treated.
Back in the day I used to listen to Dr Laura. So many of the callers had issues with someone not treated them the way they wanted to be treated.
Life doesn't work that way.

They made their bed. As #3 said, they're future is looking more like that of Wallis and Edward (AKA the Queen's Uncle David).

Harry and Meghie, you made your bed, now sleep in it. America is not that life of privilege you were hoping for. Here, you have to earn your wealth.

I wonder if he's seen her yet without her hair extensions. . . . . I have read a couple of biographies of Wallis / Edward (David), and they were a pretty pathetic pair. Besides having nothing to do but low brow socializing (including with the Nazis), they ended up with the bloom off the rose in their own personal relationship. He died first, and then she died pathetically alone. I imagine Harry/Meghan will also end up understanding the concept of "fair weather friends."

Meghan watched too many Hallmark movies. In those, the quirky American commoner wins the prince's heart, and wins the love and admiration of the people of his country by her total disregard for all those stuffy traditions.
Instead she was universally hated by the British people, who just saw her as a pushy obnoxious American outsider. So she though she would come back to the US and return to her acting career, where they would make her the new Grace Kelly. And that, of course, didn't work out at all since she is a very mediocre actress. She was sort of cute in an exotic sort of way when she was young, but she definitely isn't young any more.
Sadly, living in reality has apparently never been something Meghan's warped little brain has been able to handle.

Perhaps Megan's illusions of grandeur as the fairy princess turning into the queen because she is ever so special became a nightmare when no one else went along for the ride but Airy.

Harry should have listened to his loving brother who suggested to Harry that he go slower with his interest and/or pursuit of Meghan—which is the alleged reason that Harry is so angry with William and there has been, sadly, a falling out between these two once very close and loving brothers. It may be that Harry has regrets for the path he has chosen but probably too embarrassed and stubborn to admit he made a tragic mistake so will try to make the best of the circumstances, especially since there is a child involved.

#4- That “commoner,” Kate, exudes polish, grace, charm, dignity, sensitivity, mischief, impeccable manners, and respect for the Royal Family and its traditions—and she did not have a “past” that was questionable and/or suitable for acceptance into the Royal Family.

I suspect a lot of drama running in the background of this saga that we'll never know about.
They've got Hollywood types greasing the skids for them... Oprah, Gayle, Ellen, Clooney, and the tennis player, and then of course Hillary and the Obama's.
What's the status of Harry's visa, and the IRS is probably giving them a pass.
The Royals are very liberal and love the Obama's... the Queen should have shut this down before it started, but was too afraid of being called racist.

Megan got what she wanted: money, fame, celebrity friends like Oprah, a title. She played Harry like a fiddle. She is not a very good actress on the screen but she did a good job acting like she was crazy about him. She will soon find out that he is no longer a celebrity draw and will leave him high and dry. I have yet to read one article saying how great the two are. England is lucky that Prince William will someday be their king.

Whatever they are or aren't is of their own dadgum doing. They've behaved like spoiled brats. Insiders say this book has likely sealed the rift and they will never be welcomed back into the Firm, and perhaps not often into the family.

Also, as to the racism charges (as they say in the Twitterverse, #Evergreen!), like Roseanne Barr didn't know Valerie Jarrett was black, so I didn't know Meghan was black. No clue. And I guarantee I'm not alone.

Just for clarification -- I referred to Catherine as a 'commoner' because that is how the Brits view people of her family's class. I used their term to make the point that William ignored tradition when he married her, married for love.

Silly, selfish, and jealous girl. She had a life of fame and fortune handed to her, but she chose to ignorantly cut off her royal prince’s nose to spite her greedy little face. If she had been a better person, she could have won hearts to her instead of hardening them against her, including those of “the people”. As it stands now, it is difficult to see either of them recovering what has been squandered. Harry’s family and friends still love him and want the best for him. It is difficult to tell about hers. Hope he doesn’t further alienate people who have been close to him all of his life.
And, does Harry ever get to hold his son? Admittedly, I don’t keep up with them, but the pictures I see in passing are always of her posing with the baby. I realize that very little of this reflects actual reality, but it certainly reflects a very sad situation.

#30- The #4 defense of William was understood and appreciated. Profound apology for any discomfort and/or misunderstanding of Comment #21, which was not intended as a criticism of #4, but simply as a contrast between Kate and Meghan.

#31- The privacy and protection Harry and Meghan want for Archie is understandable; however, it seems unusual that they did not permit publication of a photograph of the child for his first birthday, which was May 6th. Perhaps they did provide Queen Elizabeth and/or select members of the Royal Family with a private conveyance of such a photograph.

Harry and Meghan can always decamp to Africa and specialize in tagging rhinos. No doubt the British public would give a hearty three cheers to that move with Harry and Meghan finally getting out of their hair. Harry and Meghan are probably finding out that trying to embarrass Queen Elizabeth, and the two direct heirs to the British crown, Prince Charles and Prince William, was not a good idea.

Just the outcome you would expect with a low-breed American actress. The answer to the question, "what could go wrong?"

Harry was in a position to choose from among the most cultured, beautiful, intelligent, and pleasant young women in all of England--and in much of the rest of the world. There likely could have been dozens that both he and his grandmother would have adored. He should have listened to his brother.
