During the debate over the First Step Act, conservatives favoring lenient treatment for felons liked to point to Texas where, supposedly, enlightened programs were rehabilitating criminals with remarkable success. These “evidence-based” programs were cited to justify shorter sentences for, and the early release of, federal felons who took various courses while incarcerated. The usually sensible Sen. John Cornyn helped lead this charge, as did Heritage Foundation.
No disrespect to Texas, but in fact it has not succeeded where reformers dating back to the time of Jeremy Bentham failed. Properly analyzed, the statistics don’t demonstrate substantial success for its “evidence-based” rehabilitation programs.

I never gave it a thought about the votes. I wonder how many they registered Democrats before they released them. There are evil genius’s out there that have created this mess. COVID didn’t just happen, it was meant. The riots, BLM, all the chaos, Election Day is going to be stressful

When you flood the streets with violent criminals there is only one objective. Los Angeles and New York jumped on that bandwagon early. Somebody posted a perceptive quote yesterday about stupid being mistaken for evil. With democrats, one must look hard to see the difference.

Not only that but there is too much interaction while they are in jail. Jail functions like a school for criminal learning.

Actually, there were multiple reasons for the Democrats to release those tens of thousands of felons, under the convenient guise of protecting them from COVID (wait, I thought lockdown was the ideal control strategy, no?). In order of significance, the real reasons were: (1) contribute to the chaos and criminal rioting; (2) vote D; and (3) each felon costs about $50,000 a year for all incarceration-related expense. They wiped a huge amount off their devastated budgets.
Very diabolically clever. Unbelievable that there was very little if any pushback. So they are still doing it. In NY, DeBlabbio is even boasting that NYC's incarceration level is the lowest in history, as if that's a great accomplishment.

The only recourse is for citizens to arm themselves, ignore the bleating of leftist politicians and kill those who attempt to attack you. And I do not mean wound either.

The real world is that 90% of those with felonies that are released commit new felonies, and are back in jail within 6 months. When politicians release prisoners en mass, instead of parole boards, violent criminals are released upon the public, and crime explodes, which is what is happening. The new policies of no bail required, criminals released for the virus, no jobs possible with 50 million Americans unemployed, then what do they think the released criminals are going to do, except return to crime to live. As ever, government policies are ignorance, and it would have been better if they had done nothing.

The Rioters and terrorists have been well trained and brainwashed for years. I watched thousands of them chanting last night. It was frightening to see. How did this get so out of control? Well, there's been a subculture of Marxism present in this country for decades. I remember reading their ads 20 years ago trying to recruit young college age students and dropouts. That's the best age to mold and twist their minds. When I was in college in the 60's, I took a couple of political science courses as electives. It was an eye opener for me. That's when I first experienced their anger and resentment. Those same students are now my age and have grandchildren and estates. I wonder if they still think this is a terrible country. In 1965 I was living in Europe for awhile, the vile and anger I heard against the USA from Europeans regarding Vietnam was as bad as anything we hear today and to think a few years back we save them from the Nazi's. "Yankee go home" was their chant back then. Well this Yankee did go home and I kissed the ground when I got here. This undercurrent of hate has finally reached critical mass and is now swarming like termites that will be terminated.
President Trump will get reelected on November 3rd and not long after his 2nd Inauguration, we will see the full hand of Law and Order be restored in this country again. They will not destroy this nation as God continues to bless the USA.

They might want to check out what these prisoners plead down from before releasing them. There's a big difference between drug dealer charges and murder charges. In order to get a plea deal, a lot of these murderers will agree to plead guilty to the drug dealer charges to have the murder charges dropped. This is what Ivanka, Jared and Kim Kardashian "justice" looks like.

Dems lost a lot of their violent troops when the MS13 gang members were rounded up. These are the B team reinforcements. But yes, they will be glad to vote for their benefactors while they are out too.
