In 1985, Michelle Obama presented her senior thesis in the sociology department of Princeton University. Although Michelle drew no such conclusion, the thesis is a stunning indictment of affirmative action. Those who benefited from it, Michelle most notably, may never recover from its sting.
Her thesis reads like a cry for help. "I have found that at Princeton no matter how matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me," she writes, "I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as I really don't belong." She didn't.

This is not news to those of us who read the thesis. We watched somebody who was paid 300K a year by a hospital in Chicago to basically occupy an office because of who her husband was. Then we witnessed somebody play the role of First Lady who was not even a lady and did not realize that people who actually had to work for a living did not appreciate her taking an entourage of hangers-on to luxury vacation spots while they strugged to make the house payment. Then there were books she claimed to have written that only emphasized the fact that she hated everything about America.

I earned a masters in economics at a Ivy after the Army. Taught undergrads a fair bit.
One specific chore we hated was trying to tutor Affirmative Actions kids (and that was 90% of who they were, with the other 10% being Hunter Bidens of the world) and drag them across the finish line.
A simply photograph of the remedial tutoring classes could have replaced this essay, with the sullen and angry and entitled faces — and the occasional speech I’d get about how awful it was that I served in the military.

Mooch doesn't like to be described as an angry black woman, but she was, is, and always will be. What else is she known for? Constant hectoring, nagging, bullying, being a first-class ingrate. For Mooch, life's such a schtruggle! Wonder why?

I’ve been saying a simplified version of this since Mooch appeared on the scene - basically, she is angry and bitter because she knows, deep down, that she’s a complete fraud. She has had everything handed to her in life because of her melanin content and she knows that she neither earned or deserves any of it.

Affirmative action is the classic "teaching someone to fish" problem. You cannot get to the tail end of the education process and "make up" for deficiencies in education up to that point by inserting people into positions that they are unprepared for. They simply don't have the needed tools to catch up. The Black community suffers from a refusal to focus on early education because it is "acting white" and "why bother because Whites won't let Blacks succeed anyway". From a young age, Blacks need to focus on learning "how to fish".
The message that Blacks, and actually a lot of society, get is that "everyone is the same" and "they are only held back because they are denied the opportunities to move ahead". These are a lies. There are people who are simply superior at some things compared to others. Education can certainly make you better but there is also the impact of aptitude and personality and willingness to work, which can be significant. Outcomes depend in inputs.
But Leftist leadership says that the only reason for differences in outcome is bias that does not allow success for "some". It also implies that "someone" is working against you, holding you back. It becomes an easy answer to failure or incompetence. Instead of self examination and working to be the best YOU can be, even if it may not "the best", you retreat into blame and resentment. In engineering, I knew there were "smarter" people than I, but I was better at producing a finalized product. I found my niche. I could work with the smart people to tease out an answer and then integrate it into my work. I recognized my own self worth. No one can teach you that.
But people CAN teach you how to be resentful.

You cannot get an education by virtue of affirmative action, you can get a diploma no doubt. I think Michelle believes in her own narrative and superiority.I don't think she has sufficient humility to reflect on where her true abilities rank with the rest of society.
The answer often becomes stop the ranking because some just don't test well or stack up by any other measure. So it must be the measurement system. Like it or not we rank people in real life. You hire the guy who cuts your grass the way you prefer and don't hire the guy who speeds his way through missing spots and hacking up your flowers unless you are my wife and stuck with him.
We are not preparing people for all aspects of real life by sliding the scale for them. I say all aspects because it is absolutely feasible to get a degree with less than a full compliment of education behind it and obtain a job where the measures of success are similarly adjusted.
Yet with all that working against them some decedents of slaves rise above it all and excel when they really didn't have to , they chose to be better than that. They have my respect and admiration. FYI Michelle that would not be you just in case I lost you with my 8th grade writing skill level.

After all the years of ‘privilege’- graciousness and charity are not her characteristics..
Appreciation is vital to well being- and it is reflective on face and actions. It can turn a sour dour into a smile.. But, appreciation comes with retrospect- and self awareness. Entitlement snatches joy from gifts and experiences.
If she/he wasn’t such a threat to democracy, pitied would be more the emotion- instead of vitriol bile raising anger.

I don't like affirmative action. It is racism. However, just once I would like to hear some successful Black American just say once that he/she got her start because of their skin color and took it from there. Just once acknowledge that your skin color did help you - not the constant harping that skin color hurts. Because we can see how much the Obamas (parents and daughters), Oprah, LeBron James, eDwayne Johnson, Will Smith, etc all have "suffered" because of their skin color.

Michelle Obama is shackled by her own desires and hate rising everyday with that in mind makes her, her own prisoner.
It's a personality disorder with 'affirmative action' stacked on top of it which makes her never to win in a race to the top. Guilt is then added to it when she achieved what most Americans of any color would never attain and Michelle Obama knows that.
Michelle Obama knows she and her husband are frauds trying to live with it by showing anger all the time.
A 'person of color' should admire people who came before them that achieved greatness without affirmative action but did it on their own. A character flaw like Michelle Obama has will never study someone like that it's easier to hate. Do you think Michelle Obama would admire Condolesa Rice? Certainly not.

Michelle at least got one thing right - she WAS a visitor, as is every student! University isn't your, "forever home." Frankly, neither is this earth. Michelle and her ilk wish to spend their lives engaged in the fool's errand of fixing this badly broken world.
White kids who get in on merit resent the AA plebe for taking the spot that their genius best friend could have occupied. The AA plebe resents everything white because they must act like Stepin Fetchit or Prissy from Gone with the Wind in order to fit in amongst the whites.

I found a copy of this thesis some years ago, and yes, it is literally unreadable nonsense. And it is triple spaced, and has something like 1 1/2" side margins, desperate to make a pitiful few words "take up" more pages, to add physical heft to a document which had very little intellectual heft.
Affirmative action folks are often way in over their heads. And it doesn't help them, really - it makes them know that they are less capable, and tries to push them to do things that they are not able to do competently, and in some lines of work, safely.
Affirmative action is systemic racism, it always has been, always will be. Slots in an education system should be assigned by competence and merit, not by skin color.

I saw this first-hand at UCLA Law in the late-70s. The AA admissions were so overmatched and out of their league, it was embarrassing. The mostly liberal Socratic Method professors had to call on them from time to time, and it wasn't pretty. Years later, i ran the names I remembered through the State Bar Attorney Search database to see if any of them passed the bar. Nope.

The funny part to me about the "problems" of writing a thesis is that my Master's degree in MechEng thesis was a breeze to write. I spent 18 months writing computer software, doing computer simulations of a hybrid vehicle, building an actual full scale vehicle prototype, and then testing the prototype and gathering data on performance, which was compared to the simulation results.
Once all the technical work was done, writing down what I did, and how I did it was a bit time consuming, and required some effort to organize the information in the best way, but it wasn't really difficult, certainly not frightening, because it was just a reporting of what I had done. And I still have copies of the thesis and every few years, I run across it in my library and browse through it a bit. It still pleases me as a piece of work, as an accomplishment.
I can't imagine that Mooch takes any pride in her sad document. It is just a document proving that she didn't deserve to be where she was, and is probably an embarrassment to her rather than an accomplishment to be proud of.

There are a lot of Americans in the affirmative action bucket who “don’t test well” and want mathematics and related academic disciplines to be dropped as required subjects of study. They are all for bringing in Chinese and Indians to do the future mathematics or more generally STEM related jobs.

As is the case with many "surveys", Michelle's research fails every known test of relevance. One can draw no conclusions from a 22% response. Of course the paper is written in gibberish. There is no content to go on. 78% did not reply. That is the only meaningful content.
Who knows why?

You remained there because of color and finished there because of your color. Ditto your so called husband, and most of his administration who attended Haaavaaad! Evidence of a lower-than-100 IQ is the fact that Michelle was educated at Princeton and Harvard Law and yet always managed to dress, even on public occasions, either like her luggage got lost and she had to quickly fashion a toga out of Ramada Inn drapes or she was going to a K-Mart fire sale on the hottest day of the year. Added to that, at a time when Americans were losing their life’s savings, she’d make a big show of taking her posse around the world on AF-1, not to mention eating Kobe beef while sentencing schoolchildren to lunches fresh from any nearby dumpsters.

It would not have mattered where Michelle went to college. She has had a racial chip on her shoulder her entire life and would have complained in a junior college as well as an elite school. She's wealthy, privileged and lived in our WH for 8 years and doesn't have enough sense to appreciate all that has come her way. She has been given a lot and earned nothing. Michelle has 'graced' the cover of thousands of magazines worldwide as nobody has yet to offer Melania Trump a front page cover shoot in 4 years. Where's the white privilege?
