Romney slams Trump for 'historic corruption'
after he commutes Roger Stone's prison
sentence

Sen. Mitt Romney tore into President Trump’s decision to commute his ally Roger Stone’s prison sentence. “Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president,” the Utah Republican tweeted Saturday morning. [Tweet] It was the strongest statement of disapproval yet from a high-profile Republican after the White House announced on Friday that the president was commuting Stone’s entire three-year prison sentence, which does leave intact his criminal record. Stone, 67, was set to report to prison on Tuesday. An emergency appeal to extend his July 14 surrender date because of the pandemic was rejected

Romney wants so hard to be McCain, but he can't even produce anything worthy to claim the title. At least McCain had his military career, Romney has nothing but an empty core, waiting for whatever somebody wants to put in there that day, that issue. Wet Finger Romney is pathetic, he always was, and he always will be until he dies.

Ol' Mittens is the voice crying out against corruption huh? I'm sure he was as vocal about the DOJ/FBI corruption and seditious actions of the deep-state DC cabal, right? No??? Well, that's interesting. He's part of the PROBLEM; NOT part of the solution - bottom line. Go away Mitt! You're just annoying.

He and his pal RYANO let this country down when we needed a fighter to go against an avowed Alinskyite/Marxist/Street Organizer trying to turn this into a lawless, socialist country-- What a disappointment and milquetoast candidate against Nobama-- his lack of fighting against the tide has cost U.S. dearly

It must be torture for Romney to wake up every morning knowing that he'll never be POTUS and PDJT will forever be either "President Trump," or "Former President Trump." Much as he tries, his scheme to lead the Republican opposition to Trump has gone down in flames as well. The past four years have shown him to be a shameless, backstabbing opportunist with no principles and earning him the well-deserved contempt of anyone aware of his antics.

Mitt Romney has a law degree from Harvard Law School. He is the only U.S. Senator in history who voted in any Senate impeachment trial to convict a President of his own political party, all while ignoring the total lack of due process afforded by the House of Representatives. It's more than disgraceful. Shame on him.

It's possible that Obama's second term can be counted as less destructive than a Romney presidency would have been. I think Trump would still have run in 2016, but his nomination would have been magnitudes harder to accomplish. Thinking about the long term consequences of a Romney presidency now gives me a queasy stomach. How very odd to be almost grateful that he didn't win in 2012.

Someone needs to sit down with Romney, and explain the whole sordid affair from the Obama administration. I seem to recall hearing that Romney, after he learned of the hidden transcripts of the numerous individuals involved in the Russian scheme, and who testified, under oath, and confirmed there was nothing to the collusion or any other issue, that he would not have voted for his one lone impeachment article. So, he's not likely up-to-speed on what's been happening.

One of the most despicable things about the Biden administration is that, even as it doubles and triples down on the COVID restrictions it wants for Americans, it’s utterly unconcerned about the diseases flooding across the border along with the illegal aliens Biden is unconstitutionally welcoming in. The president and CEO of Greyhound Lines, though, is demanding that, at the very least, its workers and other passengers get protected from the COVID so many illegal aliens bring with them. From the start of his campaign, Biden weaponized the Wuhan virus against Trump. Informed and intelligent people realized very quickly that Trump was moving with extraordinary rapidity

Biden has issued Executive Orders that ban enforcing immigration law while simultaneously inviting in a new wave of illegal immigrants. These EOs also suspend deporting illegal immigrants, even those awaiting trial for felonies and other serious crimes, and signal that all new arrivals will be eligible for social benefits such as healthcare. Cesar Chavez’s struggle in the 1970s and ‘80s can help explain the impact this will have on labor markets in general and working-class Americans in particular. Chavez understood that illegal immigration diminishes workers’ earning power.

It began with throw pillows. Pillows shouldn't matter much, but like every decision we make now, they matter more than you think. The old sofa had to go. It had lasted 25 years, by some miracle. The old sofa was U.S.-made. Only 20% of today's furniture is. It was expensive; the store owner told us we'd be able re-upholster it down the road, though that would be expensive, too. He was right on both counts. He retired. His kids run the store now. We managed to find a new sofa, also made here. A different color. So we needed throw pillows.

Republican lawmakers ridiculed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s ongoing deployment of National Guard troops and police as well as fencing and razor wire around the U.S. Capitol during speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we start quartering soldiers in the committee hearing rooms,” said freshman Rep. While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi cited precedent and prerogatives of current presidents to justify putting a majority of Democrats on a so-called “1/6” panel to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, others in her party have another reason why they don’t want to seat many Republicans. Quite simply, some Democrats say, they don’t trust the post-Trump GOP to seriously probe the incident because they believe, without evidence thus far, that some Republican members were either in on it or responsible for it. “We do not owe delusional deniers a role or a platform in a commission designed to try to ferret out extremism and violence

“He who pays the piper calls the tune.” It’s a hard, fast rule in the world of politics, which is precisely why we must always be vigilant against the corrupting influence of private money in our public electoral process. There was a great deal of consternation expressed throughout 2020 about funding nationwide elections in the midst of a deadly pandemic. Fortunately, our public institutions were up to the test. Unfortunately, we also experienced the reality of large-scale private election funding for the first time — and in the process discovered the reason we had never allowed it before. As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (WV) appears to have started to shift his views on the filibuster with remarks that he made on two news shows on Sunday morning. The shift from Manchin comes after he has repeatedly stated that he would not vote to end the filibuster, despite pressure from the far-Left. During the interviews on Sunday, Manchin repeatedly claimed that he was not open to ending the filibuster because he did not want to strip the minority party of their power in the Senate, but signaled that he was open to changing it.Fox News host Chris Wallace asked Manchin if he would consider “reforming the filibuster” if “Republicans

In an open letter released Sunday, Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden urged him to “honor his commitment” and include the Hyde Amendment in Democrats’ $1.9 trillion COVID-19 spending package, writing “we feel used and betrayed.” The letter states: We are very disappointed about the COVID-19 relief package’s exclusion of the Hyde Amendment, a longstanding bipartisan policy that prevents taxpayer funding for abortion. [snip] As pro-life leaders in the evangelical community, we publicly supported President Biden’s candidacy with the understanding that there would be engagement [with] us on the issue of abortion and particularly the Hyde Amendment

If you had any doubts that Meghan Markle is a manipulative piece of work, her bombshell Oprah interview Sunday night dumping on the British monarchy would set you straight. Prince Harry’s American wife accused his family of hateful racism against her baby, claimed they refused to protect her and drove her to the point of suicide. She made the incendiary and implausible charge that when she was pregnant with Archie, the royal family decreed that her unborn son would be denied the title of “prince” because her mixed race meant he might have dark skin.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
