President Donald Trump will hold an Independence Day celebration at Mount Rushmore on Friday evening.A fireworks show will follow Trump’s remarks.Trump and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) have been ripped for not requiring masks and social distancing at the event. Activists are also protesting the existence of Mount Rushmore, saying it was built on stolen land by a KKK sympathizer, and warning that the fireworks show (the first since 2009) could cause wildfires.Stay tuned to Breitbart News for live updates. If you google Trump and Mt. Rushmore, every MSM tv and printed news outlet headline Trump’s divisive speech. They are shameless haters of this country!

A speech that was epic in its sweep... It clearly stated the greatness of the American idea and it's people and the sinister forces arrayed against it..thank you Mr President

God bless the President and keep him safe from his enemies. I loved the speech and all the intermittent shouts of Four-More-Years, and USA! (I had forgotten that Mary Hart was from SD).

I watched the whole event on C-Span. The speech was amazing and only divisive between those who love our country and those who don't. The fireworks show afterwards was spectacular. Too bad Fox thought it more interesting to show their substitute talking heads.

The reason the media does not like PRESIDENT Trumps speech is because he tells The history of our country. Can’t have the truth out there. History is not taught in schools any more. And neither is government. The Dems and their supporters in the media cannot have Americans knowing the truth!

Good Job Mr President. I am so thankful that you are a lover of America and all for which it stands!
Unfortunately , there are enemies of America, which include many in the media and even at least one of your predecessors.
Stay the course, there are many supporting you and your patrotism.

Great job Mr. President I wish we could move forward with our lives but our blue state governor has on tighter lockdown. No fireworks and mandatory wearing of stupid masks or you get fined. New Mexico is a horrible place to be right now even the states border east, west and north is closed to people traveling through or who live here and return from travel. This state is like Nazi Germany 1939. I wish I could say enjoy the 4th of July but it's hard.

It was a wonderful program. Mary Hart was a perfect host. Governor Noem gave a terrific speech. And President Trump gave one of his best speeches ever.
Instead of focusing on the negative reports, many of which will never be read (how many people do you know who read the NYT or the WaPo?), why not focus on what we have that is so good? Sometimes we seem to self-flagellate, self-torment, seeking out the negative and dragging it around with us…

We watched the video at Conservative Treehouse. No commercials, no talking heads. Just the program all the way through the fireworks and the departure of the President, First Lady, their family members and the honored guests.

I agree with #7 and #9. The current cabal of Fox talking heads are generally terrible in that they are always interrupting when their expert guests are making salient points by interrupting and talking over them. As an example a short time ago Fox had retired General Jack Kean on, with a talking head continuously interrupting and talking over him as he attempted to explain complex foreign policy and military facts which he was never able to bring out before the on screen segment ended.
I watched the Mt. Rushmore event last evening via a Fox stream on YouTube with no interruptions or dumb talking heads. That’s the way to go with the 4th of July events. Hopefully there will be a similar stream this evening of the scheduled White House celebrations.

I, too, saw the President's speech. Wow. Indeed, he affirmed the United States of America as the greatest nation on Earth. Leftism was shown the door yesterday.
May God continue to bless the President and the United States of America.

Wish I'd watched it on C-SPAN. FoxNews spent the day decrying the lack of masks (not mentioning that SD's coronavirus numbers are 6000 cases and 99 deaths), built up the conflict with irrelevant protestors , and rather than cover the Governor's introduction, flopped back to an irrelevant panel. Then, as the president took the stage, rather than let the moment speak for itself, Raymond Arroyo couldn't shut his mouth. Later on, they even broke into his speech. Learned my lesson.

What a spectacular event. The beautiful and brainy and ballsy South Dakota governor's speech was terrific. The fireworks and the music coordination were perfect. And Trump's speech and presidential demeanor (since so many are concerned, not me) was unifying, comforting and patriotic.
Thank God we watched it on C-SPAN where there were no irritating FOX talking heads. I'm nearly finished with FOX. As others have said they are onto the mask nonsense. Just shut up and report the news.
Happy July 4th and I look forward to the President's speech tonight. God bless you all and God bless America.

Fox is far too hung up on “power panels” - and who are they? Jessica Tarlov, Marie Harf, Richard Fowler, a raft of Dem campaign aparatchiks… If they ever luck out and have someone interesting,, they cut them off. Even Maria Bartiromo does that.
We are watching more and more old movies. Inspector Morse. Father Brown. Anything but Fox!

We watched on Conservative Treehouse too and it was everything coverage should be. I like the way Governor Noem introduced Trump but her speech needed to be half as long. She is a great Governor but she needs more practice. lol
Wasn’t the setting just spectacular? To see those chiseled faces up there looking down on America 2020 gave me chills.
Trump was SO great and I thought, more than worthy to stand there beneath the gaze of Mt. Rushmore’s mighty men.

I enjoyed the speech and the setting, too. If asked, I would have suggested this addition to the speech: "We have now seen what 'fundamentally transforming America' means. No, we will preserve our American culture and heritage!"
I love fireworks, but this year I'm denied the joy of seeing them in person. I'm also a little particular about them......I don't like having to listen to someone's taste in music to "complement" what I'm seeing. As far as I'm concerned, nothing beats the sounds of the fireworks, blended with the oooohs and aaaaaahs of the children in the crowd.

One of the best speeches of all time. One thing about the close. When you are talking about rebuilding, remember the appeal to God for His blessing. We are dealing with organized evil. Invisible stuff. It is His fight.

Great speech and fireworks. As someone that has seen how a dog reacts to fireworks, I do feel bad for all the wildlife in the area, the place is pretty much a wilderness after all. But they'll get over it. Has the media brought up that angle?

It's glorious to have a president who deeply, truly and unashamedly loves this country.
Nitpick: Somebody should tell his writers that there is no such thing as the "Congressional Medal of Honor."

President Trump is not getting much support from Congress and nothing but utter contempt and wickedness from leftist politicians, clergy, mainstream media, celebrities, and brainwashed mobs. With what is taking place in our country it is time, as written by David Limbaugh, that “we must decide if we want to save America.” (Posted 7-3-20, “We Must Decide Whether We Want to Save America” - Townhall). Indeed, “We can’t legislatively purge evil from men’s hearts—but we can and must pray to the God of all creation...” To that end, it seems appropriate for a grassroots effort to storm heaven with prayer—prayer is powerful: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its water roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. ...” (Psalm 46 – God Is Our Fortress)
What this country is being subjected to is evil. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
Patrick Henry said, “The Bible is worth all the other books which have ever been printed.” And, “Fear is the passion of slaves.”
Scripture teaches that prayer is powerful. “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) May this once God-fearing nation take “...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (Ephesians 6:17) Pray for President Trump, pray for America. May God bless America.
