'Anti-Colin Kaepernick’ Burgess Owens Wins
Utah Fourth District GOP Primary

Original Article

Former Oakland Raiders Super Bowl champion safety Burgess Owens won the Utah Fourth Congressional GOP primary on Tuesday night and will now face off against Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT). Owens decisively won the Fourth Congressional District’s primary by roughly 20 points. Owens’ victory means he will now face off against freshman swing district Democrat McAdams in the general election. McAdams unseated former Rep. Mia Love (R-UT) during the 2018 midterm elections. The Cook Political Report rates the race as a “lean Democrat,” but Owens’ potential victory over McAdams could help the GOP retake the House majority. Republicans need to gain a net 17 seats during the 2020 elections to regain the House majority.

Now let's hope he wins in November!!

What options were available before? A moderate Dem who caucused with Republicans more than Dems, or that globalist, anti-Trumper Mia Love? I was so wonderful to have the option of a true patriot like Burgess Owens.

The district in question includes highly democrat neighborhoods of Salt Lake City. McAdams has been a smooth-talking first-term congressman, who swore he wouldn't let his voting be controlled by Pelosi, but who voted to impeach President Trump. His approval rating in his district fell by 11% after that vote. President Trump is much more popular than McAdams in the district. In the State of Utah, President Trump is far and away more popular than Pierre Delecto, who is widely considered to be an embarrassment to the state.

Lynn swann, Pittsburgh Steelrs, four time super bowl champion, super bowl mvp, ran for governor of Pa, as a republican. His opponent was slick Eddie Rendell. Swann was smart, articulate personable, and early on was tied with Rendell. But Swann made one strategic error. He tried to separate out his football persona from his political campaign. He refused to autograph any football stuff. he lost to Rendell, 40/60. I hope Owens avoids such a mistake.

Here's the type of ad that needs to be run in these districts. Back in 2018, these yahoos said they'd be independent of Nancy Pelosi. But once they got inside the DC beltway, all promises disappeared. Have a sock puppet looking like the Congresscritter in question on Nancy Pelosi's hand, spouting her lies and misinformaiton. On July 4, 2020, our country celebrates its 244th birthday. We celebrate it midway through what has been called “the worst year ever.” It is true that, so far, we’ve seen a lot of bad news in 2020. A pandemic has taken the lives of hundreds of thousands and affected the livelihoods of millions more. Some folks may turn on their TV or go online and think the country is falling apart. Yes, it’s been a tough six months. But our country’s fundamental goodness is still shining through if you know where to look.

President Trump said on Friday that he is creating a new monument honoring "the greatest Americans." He made the announcement at the end of his speech during an Independence Day fireworks celebration at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. "I am signing an executive order to establish the National Garden of American Heroes, a vast outdoor park that will feature the statues of the greatest Americans to ever live," he said. The White House quickly released the text of the executive order, which includes the creation of a task force "for Building and Rebuilding Monuments to American Heroes" which will be led by the interior secretary.

Democrats may be trying to hinder U.S. Attorney John Durham's inquiry into the Russia investigation, according to a top House Republican. Rep. Jim Jordan, the ranking member on the House Judiciary and Oversight committees, said that a resolution signed by Rep. Eric Swalwell and dozens of other Democrats seeking an investigation into whether Attorney General William Barr should be impeached is a byproduct of their fear of what Durham may find. "The thing that scares [Swalwell] about Bill Barr is this investigation he has tasked John Durham to complete," Jordan told Fox News this week. "And Mr. Barr said it is going to be done sometime this summer."

The New York Times on Thursday published an advertisement calling for Yale to be renamed after someone who was not a brutal, white supremacist slave-trader. A Harvard man named Jeremiah Dummer fits the bill, New Criterion editor and American Greatness contributor Roger Kimball argues. In the oped, first published at American Greatness, Kimball adds his voice to a growing cacophony of conservative voices seeking to #CancelYale. In the ad, Kimball writes, “if the Left can deface or destroy statues of George Washington, Christopher Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, and countless others, shouldn’t we insist that they live up to their own ideals and cancel racially tainted liberal institutions like Yale?”

On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress in Philadelphia after a lengthy debate adopted a resolution in favor of declaring independence from Great Britain. The language of the Declaration of Independence was approved on July 4, which Americans have celebrated ever since as Independence Day. But John Adams, who sat on the committee appointed to draft the document and encouraged Thomas Jefferson to be the principal author, had a slightly different idea about which day his countrymen would remember. In two letters dated July 3 to his beloved wife, Abigail, Adams explained why he believed July 2 would be celebrated as “the most memorable epocha in the history of America.”

Establishment Republicans made the same mistake by ignoring the movement’s radical premise: that at its core, America is rotten and systemically racist,

Hillary Clinton once said we could not be civil with a political party that wants to destroy American values. She has a point. It’s high time Americans throw out politicians who promote mob anarchists, the destruction of law and order, disgrace American heritage, delegitimize our institutions, abuse government power, exploit past injustices, and sow division in an all-encompassing 21st century cultural revolution. Where the stakes are high, so too are the demands to save America from the tyranny of the Jacobian thought police on the cusp of a takeover of the Democratic Party pledging a radical nationwide transformation. Four years after Donald Trump’s triumphant victory,

America is in crisis. Her destiny is on the line, and she will survive only if we still love her. A battle rages in the streets, in academia, in the culture, and in the hearts and minds of the American people over whether America was and remains a good and great nation. I have always believed that America is the greatest and most benevolent nation in history, that its Constitution is, in the words of former British Prime Minister William Gladstone, "The most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man." That's primarily because the Constitution was crafted to maximize man's liberty --

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s recent decision to duck a fourth presidential debate tells you everything you need to know about the presumptive Democrat nominee’s rapidly depleting stamina: the man is already too tired to run a full campaign against President Trump.
