We live in a society gripped by a quasi-religious fervor — and obsessed with symbols and irrational fears. Anything that is thought to have the slightest association with racism, no matter how attenuated the connection or how innocent the explanation, must be crushed and expunged. The mere presence of a possibly offending word is deemed a threat, whether it is truly offensive or any real people have actually taken offense. We are engaged in a war with shadowy forces that we can’t truly understand, but must exercise the utmost vigilance, lest they sneak up on us unawares.

Yes, and this is where the dems have lead us. They were trying to be sneaky about it and use just a bit of intimidation and violence but they are stuck with Uncle Joe who is a joke so they had to unleash the full force of the Leftist crazies. Their goal is to undermine and delegitmize EVERYTHING about America so that they can throw it away and rebuild things in their warped image. They have not been able to win on individual issues because they do not have any rational support for their arguments. So they are throwing everything into a blender with the cover off, hitting frappe, and hoping that the mess will be so overwhelming as to tip everything over. The dems don't care about the resulting chaos, only that they hope to be left in charge. Their motto might be "Better to reign in Hell rather than serve in Heaven.".

“ The mere presence of a possibly offending word is deemed a threat, whether it is truly offensive or any real people have actually taken offense.“ I’ve always believed that being offended is a choice. I grew up in the era of “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me.” Today’s SJW’s choose to be offended because it allows them to be the toddlers that they are. They and the rest of the left have been in a four year temper tantrum, to the detriment of the rest of us.

''Woke'' is just the newest sect of the Religion of Liberalism. The older people of the religion branched out years ago and called their sect the DNC. The DNC sect finds a different messiah every 2 to 4 years to fall down before and grovel before. Accolytes for the DNC are any minority situated individual with hands out, palms up.

Well put #1. You can find this pattern in any good scholarly work on how cults control people. The American Left needs to be "deprogrammed" which is a delicate process between loving family members. Their entire foundation is built upon lies. Humans are a religious species. We all have a deep rooted belief structure. The left is constructed to a great extend by people with no other belief structure than leftism itself, it is their religion. Convincing me I'm wrong about an economic principle is a hard undertaking. I'm stubborn, not without a degree of hubris, and I will require a well constructed argument with supporting data and facts. I'll need a chance to digest those facts, challenge them, try on alternate explanations for size, explore to see if any studies or historical examples actually tested my alternate explanations and perhaps then I'll integrate the new (to me) input into my overall understanding. To convince me that my choice to follow Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior is a far greater undertaking. Changing a leftist's point of view is to change their religion. Their beliefs are not based on history, facts, data but rather like my religion, faith. History tells us that chaos and anarchy are tools used by those intending to seize power. By manufacturing a thirst for order through disorder, you can sucker people into accepting your offer to establish order. Its that simple. That new order will be devoid of freedom.

I am hearing more and more parents are being accused by their propagandized children of being evil, but are afraid of saying anything for fear of loosing them. The fact is that when children feel justified in attacking their parents, they have already lost them. And, the irony is that they spent a fortune sending them to college where they got propagandized.

#6, since most of those children are unemployed parasites living off their parents, the solution is to cut them off financially. Tell them that, if they’re old and smart enough to attack their parents, they’re old enough and smart enough to grow up, get a job and support themselves.

Paris climate treaty

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

Black Friday is my favorite day of the year and my favorite extreme sport, but when events and gatherings began disappearing from the calendar back in March, I thought surely Black Friday would be safe. Now here we are, more than eight months later. The mask Karens are still breathing down our necks, governors are trying to kill Thanksgiving, and Black Friday is canceled. The fliers are still arriving in the mail and the festive doorbuster commercials are rolling, but Black Friday this year just isn’t the same. A Black Friday that takes place mostly online, the whole week of Thanksgiving or the entire month of November,

Why do we do this to ourselves every four years? We talk incessantly about the latest poll in Florida and Michigan and Pennsylvania and Arizona until we are blue in the face. Then they turn out to be wildly wrong. When will we ever learn? It reminds me of that old saying which I think was from Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Polling, at least the old-school style, is over. Done. I don’t need to go through a long list of reasons why nobody should take pollsters seriously anymore, but a few data points are instructive.
Implications of the Flynn Pardon 11 replies

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

In 1789, George Washington became the first of many US presidents to formally proclaim a day of “public thanksgiving and prayer”: I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. So it is “illegal” for me to invite any of my four kids to Thanksgiving dinner.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday night blocked New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo from reimposing strict attendance caps at worship services in areas hit hard by the novel coronavirus. The court ruled 5-4 to bar Cuomo from enforcing his Oct. 6 “Cluster Initiative” against houses of worship that sued to challenge the restrictions. The order was also the first in which Justice Amy Coney Barrett played a decisive role. Barrett, who was President Trump's third Supreme Court nominee, joined the court Oct. 27, after winning Senate confirmation following the Sept. 18 death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Are furbished product is seldom as desirable as a brand-new one. Joe Biden must be assuming Americans can’t tell the difference. Even as President Trump battles uphill to overturn the results of the recent presidential election, faces familiar during the earlier Age of Obama are reappearing in President-elect-apparent Biden’s pantheon of power. The looming Biden era promises to be Obama 3.0 — Hillary Clinton in 2016 was to be Obama 2.0, but new models don’t always live up to the original (see Windows Vista). Jen Psaki, communications director for the Obama White House and now filling a similar role during the nomination process, describes the emerging Biden brand:

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
