In a wide-ranging interview in the Oval Office Friday, President Donald J. Trump said that the country is in the midst of “a political war … where the left will use anything to win, including the culture.”
The president said that to restore order and win in 2020, his Republican allies “need to be stronger” in standing up to rioters and those who would tear down statues. (Snip)
While acknowledging the “horrible” scene that played out in Minnesota with the death of George Floyd, Trump argued that the Floyd-related protest movement has since morphed into an “anti-cop, defund the police, anti-American” movement that puts American communities at risk.

What Republican response? The faux Republicans are hiding in their basements under several quilts.
Led by appeaser in chief Sen Romney, they are a cowering group of cowards. Oh, and Sen Gramnesty, who will shuck and jive about how conservative he is while voting lberal.
Seriously. Are any Republicans taking a stand? I can't think of any except Sen Scott.

The silence from Republicans is deafening, but the president's got to tell us his plan for the next four years. On July 4th, talk about Lincoln's words at Gettysburg, talk about the Constitution. Contrast them both with the Democrat's 1619 Project, that threatens the Republic by telling us we're all racist. Make them defend it.

This Trump supporter walked out of a luncheon with a group I'd lunched monthly with for years when two big mouths started running down Trump. I will never return - I've had it with listening to their tripe. I didn't need to say a word. My actions spoke louder than any words I could have said.

It's not the "left" and Trump knows it. It's mainly the various profiteers who are both allied and competing for the biggest grab. Politically the game is fixed by the UNIPARTY, that conglomeration of Republicans and Democrats who have the WWE screaming conflict thing down to a science. Of course, one can deny the existence of the UNIPARTY and donate/vote for the laundry. Republicans ALWAYS stack the court with 24 karat "Originalists", and that's why we vote for them. We get Chief Justice "What do they have on him?" Roberts anyways. And we get Obamacare and nonsense rulings on state abortion rules.

Asking the so-called republican party to show Backbone is like asking chickens in a tyson foods slaughter house to rise up against col. sanders od kfc. or the german jews against hitler in WWII. All modern days so-called republicans truly know how to do is kiss demoncRAT butts and give lewinshy's or BJs.

The democrats support the drug addled communist rioters with money and organization. When on of their own gets in trouble, they raise money for his defense.
Where was the support for Flynn, Stone, and the others that were railroaded? The repubs gave them neither vocal or monetary support. They are a bunch of cheap-skate cowards, that's why I am registered as an independent and will never give them a dime.

Asking most Republicans to be tough is like asking an egg to be tough....impossible.

So the answer seems to be... get mad and run down the Republican Party... cutting off your nose to spite your face. IF these repliers value their future and freedom, they had better support, support, support Republicans... but hold their feet to the fire. We know a win by Dems will turn us toward being another Venezuela. You want that for your children?? Another point, look at the House Freedom Caucus... true warriors for the USA! But we must elect both a Republican House and Republican Senate to survive.

With the exception of Tom Cotton we haven't heard anything from our Republicans addressing the Democrat mobs taking control of this country. We have Mitt Romney groveling in public before that mob. We have Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) proposing legislation to make it easier to sue the police, as the mob demands.. Where are House Minority Leader McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader McConnell? Where is big mouth Lindsey Graham who, up until the riots began, was on Sean Hannity's Fox News show nearly every day? Where are Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, arguably the best known Republican senators? The Republicans have been handed the most important election matter on a golden platter, the preservation of our republic, and they are, as always, hidden away, leaving everything up to Donald Trump.

Thank you #10. Never holding our party accountable is why we have the collection of smooth talking poofed princes we do in our Senate. The leadership is always trained to be a cookie cutter of the last SML or Speaker even if we do gain the majority. McCarthy won’t be much different than Boehner or Ryan. Mitch seems to own the Leader position unfortunately and sadly.
Yes we will all vote Republican. Every libertarian I know of (and Texas has them) is voting solid Republican in the upcoming elections. It does not mean we say Republican cowardice is okay just because we have always put up with it. God help us.
Sen Tom Cotton is a major blessing.

#11, a libertarian friend and his sister have asked me for help on the primaries. She has never bothered, sees that it is no longer a valid strategy, want's advise on candidates. I think a lot of lazy, uninvolved folks (dare I say silent majority?) are getting kicked into gear, seeing that this mob violence and potential for worse means that they better finally rise from their sleep and try to do the right thing.
I am sure that there will be MANY.
