That's probably four thugs who won't be attending any "protests" for a while. They probably stopped off at Mommy and Daddy's basement to pick up their stuff before going on the run.

Protesters were out in front of the Teddy Roosevelt’s statue in from of the Museum of Natural History in New York on Sunday. Except this time the majority of them weren’t there trying to rip down the statue, they were there to defend it and call on the Museum to let it stay where it has been in front of the Museum since 1940. About 150 people, some waving American flags, shouting “Save Teddy” and “Save our history!” spoke on why they thought the Museum should not remove the statue.

The NBA has announced that when the league begins its shortened 2020 season in Orlando on July 30, players will have the option to replace their name on their jersey with a “social justice” statement. The league and the National Basketball Players Association had been in discussions to allow players to wear social justice messages on their jerseys, according to a report by ESPN on Saturday night.

A small business owner in Wisconsin was denied coronavirus relief funds from the local government after he participated in a rally protesting statewide stay-at-home measures to combat the pandemic. Dimple and Denis Navratil have owned Dimple's Fine Imports LLC in Racine, Wisconsin, for more than 20 years. They applied twice for some of the $900,000 the city allocated to small businesses to help offset the financial burden of the health crisis, according to an investigation conducted by the Journal Times and published Sunday. Upon receiving his second denial, Denis Navratil was told by the city's mayor that his attendance at a rally in Madison on April 24

A divided Supreme Court on Monday put the brakes on Congress’ attempt to limit the president’s power to remove executive branch officials in a win for President Trump. The justices ruled, 5-4, that the Constitution requires the president have unfettered discretion to fire the head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. However, the high court rejected arguments that the entire agency should be shut down. All of the Republican appointees on the high court backed the decision eliminating the restrictions on the firing of leaders of so-called single-member agencies, while all the Democrat-appointed justices said they would have left those limitations in place.

Oh, to be in England, where the bobbies patrol without guns, and peace and harmony rule. That’s the idea peddled by The Nation’s D.D. Guttenplan, who calls for not only defunding but also disarming the police. In one sense, you can’t deny the logic of his argument. If you reduce the number of police through defunding and then take away their guns, there are sure to be fewer police-involved shootings. But defunding and disarming police would also give you more of some things, not the least of them being more violent crime. Calls to disarm the police ignore this,

Conservatives were outraged eight years ago when Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the liberals on the court to uphold Obamacare's individual mandate. His swing almost singlehandedly saved the Affordable Care Act. A few years removed and he made a few better decisions, somewhat appeasing conservatives. But last year he helped kill the census citizenship question. Then, last week, he voted with liberals to reject President Trump's attempt to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The court didn't say that Trump couldn't reverse the program, but that his legal reasoning wasn't up to par.

In the recent commentary on Joe Biden’s response to the Lululemon Left’s protests in D.C. and Brooklyn, a consensus appears to have surfaced. They tell us Joe Biden is keeping the politically appropriate distance from the protesters and their acts of widespread public vandalism and violence, and his aim is to remain squarely focused on those suburban voters outside of Philly, Pittsburgh and elsewhere. There will be no mass rallies for Joe Biden this year, and that’s not because of the coronavirus. It’s because Biden can't command those types of crowds, except maybe for one or two well-hyped events in late October with enough celebrities and musicians to arouse attendees.

On Saturday, the president of Princeton University, Christopher Eisgruber, said the institution would be removing the name of former President Woodrow Wilson from its school of public policy and residential college. "Wilson's racism was significant and consequential even by the standards of his own time. He segregated the federal civil service after it had been racially integrated for decades, thereby taking America backward in its pursuit of justice," Eisgruber said Saturday. But critics on the right say the mere removal of the racist Democrat's name doesn't go far enough to redress the historic racism of the Wilsonian era. They are now calling for the cancelation of the federal income tax

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday struck down a Louisiana law regulating abortion clinics, reasserting a commitment to abortion rights over fierce opposition from dissenting conservative justices in the first big abortion case of the Trump era. Chief Justice John Roberts joined with his four more liberal colleagues in ruling that the law requiring doctors who perform abortions have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals violates the abortion right the court first announced in the landmark Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. In two previous abortion cases, Roberts had favored restrictions. The Louisiana law is virtually identical to one in Texas that the court struck down in 2016.
