The skinny jeans. The nonfunctional glasses. The spray tans. The tight muscle shirts. The obscene shopping bill at Nordstrom. And the social justice sermons more fitting for the faculty lounge at Wellesley than for a Bible-believing church. Behold, the Woke Pastor, and he’s gunning for your White Privilege and ready to tackle America’s systemic racism, one vegan protein shake at a time.
There are myriad examples of the Woke Pastor today, with ministers falling over themselves publicly to prove their progressive bona fides in the wake of George Floyd’s awful death. Let’s focus on two in particular. Both lead megachurches

Don't forget the tricked out "jar head" hair cut. Sadder still are the "Amens" from people who should know better.

Doesn't this call to mind the teaching of Jesus about the Pharisees seeking places of honor in the Synagogues, loving the greetings in the marketplace, and making sure everyone sees when they tithe? Beware the false teachers for sure.

I would never attend a church like that. I prefer a simple, very old fashioned church service, getting hard to find any more.

I am more worried about the far more subtle ways your more average church is catering to the BLM stuff. These two examples so easy as they are so obviously masquerading as churches. The silence of the pulpits generally is far more dangerous and widespread.

Terrific article. A perfect example of what conservatives do really well. It is well-written, using hard facts, logic and biting wit to drive home its points. The phenomenon of the Woke Clergy has made its way into the Catholic priesthood, as well, minus the hipster clothes. Give the devil his due. He knows The Scripture better than most.

Never heard of either one, but it is an excellent article. Completely in line with the End Times departure from the truth, where people "...heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."

For me, I dumped the woke churches for Orthodoxy, which has not changed since the founding of Christianity.

Sadly, too many "pastors" indulge their own egos with virtue signalling their superior morality by preaching how evil people like me do not bow before the god of political correctness.
I stopped attending services when my priest dismissed me as a fool when I objected to being told how evil I was to not love the homeless guy doing a dump on my sidewalk when there is REAL evil in the world. At my office I was present when a coworker got the call from the police that their brother had been found murdered in the trunk of his car. And I am evil?

False preachers abound in today's fake Christian church. Serving Lucifer offering up those who will not study the Old Testament which Jesus taught from and tells the truth of what I AM THAT I AM God our Father creator really wants from His believers. And it is not go along to get along allowing evil to take control of His believers or allow any non believers to tell you what He wants.

It is a cash cow. From Oral Roberts through Jerry Falwell through Jim and Tammy Bakker through several names I don't remember all the way to Joel Osteen It's a cash cow. And come to think of it the Catholic church is not doing too badly either.

Those are not pastors of Christianity. They are Churchians. Fakers who mislead and bow to the world instead of to God the true King. Boy are they going to be shocked when God not only tells them that 'I do not know you', but then proceeds to deliver a spiritual spanking that might make an impression on them.
One thing I would say is find the websites of churches in your local areas. We have several in our area and Hubby and I enjoy the sermons either on the local station, or online from their website. By their fruits shall you know them. Still holds true today.

Too many pastors and churches and even denominations (UMC) are twisting themselves in knots to be currently, culturally relevant. The Bible and it's teachings are old and don't fit today's trends, culture and needs...b.s.. The Bible and it's teachings are needed now more than ever. Sodom and Gomorrah are today's Chicago and Baltimore.
These faux pastors are not fit to be in a pulpit. They preach what their sheep want to hear not what they need to hear. Joel and Creflo and thousands more pastors have found the magic formula to keep the money flowing in enormous sums to fund their extravagant lifestyles. They will face the judgment seat and have to account for their sinful ways.

I've never heard of this bunch, but as soon as I saw the names TD Jakes and Hillsong, I knew; fake Christianity and money grubbing speakers pretending to be preachers. They are among the lowest scum on the planet, in my opinion, but they manage to capture the seeker sensitive who think they can craft their own path to Heaven. People like these folks, Jakes, Copeland, Olsteen, Dollar (that's a name we can trust), and the rest pimp the Gospel for their own benefit. They're worse than the Pharisees of Jesus' day, and He called them whited sepulchers. I can't stand their hip clothes, church services where the speaker is on a platform with fancy lighting and the audience is in the dark. They spew nothing but lies. Even Southern Baptists are falling headlong into diversity signaling.

Last time I went to church (Methodist) back in the 90's they had a guest preacher who gave a sermon on why we should get rid of nuclear bombs. Haven't been back since.

One look at this photo of Mr. Hip Smith with Justin Bieber - Con man is stamped on his face. Bet he is already a multi-millionaire. Give this a few years and the sexual abuse, brainwashing, and greed stories will inevitable pop up.
People are so stupid.

Listened to Judah Smith a couple of years ago and his sermons were inspiring! But they were about Jesus Christ Crucified! Sadly, I no longer listen to woke progressive false biblical teaching! Judah needs to go back to Seminary and never read another newspaper again!

Why do I have to listen to a "woke" pastor when I can go directly to the Bible? God tells me that all hearts matter.
