While I respect Carol Brown and value her insight, and even share her sense of frustration that the left seems to have taken the initiative when it comes to action, I disagree with her blog post today, "President Trump, it's time for a little less talk and a lot more action."
There are four principal reasons.
For law and order to be an effective response, convictions in a court of law must be the outcome. The old saying that the wheels of justice grind slowly is founded on experience. Evidence must be accumulated and properly inventoried (chain of custody issues result in many acquittals and reversals of convictions), and the

It all hinges on Trump winning in November. If the Marxists manage to finalize their coup, it will be through vote fraud. My big fear is that Biden (or whomever) will use massive vote fraud to take the White House. That would be when the real disaster movie scenario begins.

Very well said. Patience has worked well fro Trump, although it has been monumentally frustrating for the rest of us.

I've read both articles. I agree with Carol. Our country is being erased before our eyes ala Russia in 1917, Germany in the late 1930's, Mao's Cultural Revolution, etc. We are being Cancel Cultured out of free speech, our jobs, our history and America is turning into a thugocracy. (Hat tip Michael Barone - creators.com/read/michael-barone/10/08/the-coming-obama-thugocracy). A thugocracy will not be beaten in the courts or the ballot box. Prairie Fire, written by William Ayers in 1974, posited that upwards of 25 Million Americans my need to be killed if they couldn't be re-educated. The shots are being fired. This will not be pretty or decided by the law. I take no joy in writing this.

I've seen several articles pointing out how the leftists are overdoing it and will see the consequences in November. But all of these assume a relatively clean election where the actual votes are counted. Unfortunately I don't think this is a given, and in fact it is more reasonable to assume widespread cheating. They have already tried to destroy the economy, burn down and even take over) cities, and kill police. In their minds, election cheating would seem comparatively minor. Strzok's and Page's 2016 "insurance policy" did not pay out. They will be looking for a better insurance policy this time.

Totally agree with Lifson. By the way it also depends on holding the Senate or taking the House. I am sure they intend to try what they tried with Nixon (drive out VP, force him to select a new VP acceptable to the Senate as an alternative to Nancy Pelosi in line of succession, then drive him out in turn, thus installing somebody better for them than Joe Biden and bypassing the electorate entirely). This can be averted if Pence can hold on or if we take the House or if the Senate grows a spine or if Trump simply does not offer a VP they like, and calls their bluff re risk of Pelosi presidency. Of those, the one we can influence is the House and Senate elections. Just my opinion.

I would love to meet Mr. Lifson some day, perhaps chat over dinner. What a smart man.
FTA:
"The visceral parts of my consciousness want action now. But the strategic elements of my mind counsel that the enemy is self-destructing, if only we allow it the time to complete the task and reap the consequences."
Yes, exactly. Give them plenty of rope to hang themselves. They are making MANY enemies today, scaring the hell out of a LOT of people, and way, way prematurely showing their evil, hateful, destructive intentions.

I've had a lifetime of Republican politicians tell me that they agree with me, but now is not the right time to act. While I generally trust Trump's instincts, now is not the time to wait, fecklessness will not win the day. We need decisive action. These antifa clowns need to be forcefully ejected from our streets, the vandals and ring leaders need to be hunted down and prosecuted. This is no longer a political game. We are rapidly approaching the final all-in.

Please Mr President stop with the silly TWEETS
From the TWEET
I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent...
You don't have to !!! It's the law. Federal law enforcement officers are PAID to arrest those who deface monuments and run afoul of federal law. They DO NOT NEED your permission to do so.

Rather than responding impetuously a la Kent State, the President has laid the groundwork for prosecutions. A rebuttal to an AT article posted earlier, and an important read.
