Christian figures and symbols have increasingly become the subject of debate as protesters across the country demand a reckoning on racial justice, pulling down statues and criticizing controversial figures along the way.Christianity, like nearly every long-standing institution in the United States, has a complicated history with racism, prompting several leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement to call for its symbols to be adjusted or removed. In some cities, protesters have taken matters into their own hands, pulling down statues or taking over churches.Protesters on Monday occupied the exterior of St. John’s Episcopal Church near the White House, refashioning it as the “Black House Autonomous Zone,”

Our Church is where I will make my stand. If deadly force is required, so be it.

It's past time to declare the Marxist BLM as a terrorist organization. There's a way to work peacefully toward a solution to the supposed problems in this country, but letting 13% of the population terrorize the rest of the country into submission is terrorism and should be treated as such. And I'm with poster #1, don't mess with my church.

I recall a poignant comment made by an Israeli Jew, "We will never again go willingly into the gas chambers."
The same can be said for Christians, "We will never again be sacrificed for political sport."

I encourage my fellow posters to start referring to these militants with a new acronym -- CABS (Communists, Anarchists and Black Supremacists).

Same here, #5 and I am 77. Sometimes you have to find a hill to die on or you will be running from hill to hill for the rest of your life.

I dont think anyone will do anything. They essentially closed your churches for the corona hoax and nobody did a blessed thing. Then they burned, looted, rioted and raped, and nobody did a thing. Neither has anyone done anything about obamagate, pizzagate, the impeachment hoax or anything else.
The barbarians and communists have won because we are afraid of being called names.

The atheists in California have a big problem. Driving the El Camino Real (now Hwys 5 & 101) is a physical Litany of the Saints, passing through the cities that grew up around and between the Catholic Missions; San Diego, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Francisco and Santa Rosa - to name but a few. Many of our coastal counties are named for saints and objects of veneration, including that "progressive" enclave Santa Cruz - Holy Cross. Renaming all those cities and counties will cost a bundle in stationary and signage.
Our enemies are getting desperate; they no longer hide their antipathy against God and His children. They used to be much better at cloaking their animosity towards religion under the guise of political concerns. It was under this camouflage that their war against God has been fought for the last century, but has now gone public. All of us who fight for goodness must be certain we go into battle fully armed. Before we load the weapon we must hit the floor with our knees. Prayer and fasting are our greatest weapons. We must make sure we attend daily briefings with the Big Guy to know our place in the action. If/when weapons become necessary, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"

The premise of “cancel culture” is that people should be denied access to media platforms or publicly shamed into apologizing for expressing opinions unpopular with progressive activists."
Why don't we just skip all the fancy language and call this what it is? A purge - a good old fashioned marxist/communist/socialist/nadzi/soviet style PURGE. It has been underway for quite a while and it will not burn itself out. History could repeat itself unless some fearless person/s with power, influence and common sense has/have the courage to speak out against it and defend the right of free speech guaranteed to every American in the First Amendment of our Constitution.

Back in the '60's the media called the rioters students. Now the call them protestors. Those descriptions for anarchists is about as crazy as their continuing references to the peaceful protests which we see every day on TV are actually not peaceful at all but just the opposite. News reporting by the media has gotten so propagandized that the opposite of their learn-ed reports is usually closer to the truth. We cringe every time the media says peaceful protests when we see hateful anarchists!

Christians, I recommend to your reading Luke 22:35-38. You have heard innumerable sermons preached about the few verses right before this passage, and those after, but these are usually left out of the Easter sermon cycle. These are the last directives from Jesus to his disciples as a group as he was going out the door to go to Gethsemane on the last night of his life. Basically he told them to have a bug-out bag, cash money and a weapon. If you don't have a weapon, sell your cloak (i.e., the clothes off your back) and buy one. Things are going to get tough. Well, things are about to get tough, Christians.

Various news journalists have opined that those who do not conform to the dictates of the current mob forces will become their targets, including churches. Considering the magnitude of evil that permeates things being done in and to our country brings to mind teachings of Scripture, including the Book of Revelation. The First Beast mentioned in Revelation 13:1-10 has been interpreted as “hideous beast, which represents worldly power and political authority run amok.”
It is written in Revelation 13:15-17 that believers who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain; an identifying mark would be mandated on the right hand or the forehead, “so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.” Interpretation suggests that “these marks thus function as the demonic counterpart to the protective seal God places upon His people.” No one will be permitted to buy or sell unless having the mark of the beast. “Economic activity is restricted to those bearing the mark of the beast.”
Revelation 13:18, “the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.” Interpretation is “the threefold six may indicate a threefold falling short of seven, the number of perfection. That would be a fitting number for the anti-Trinity.”
No one knows the day or the hour, but believers take comfort in the words of the Apostle, Peter: “ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.” (2 Peter 3:10)

I honestly believe the Evangelicals and the Catholics will fight to the death to stop this if it comes down to it.
But there are a lot of so-called Christian "churches" that have drank the lie-beral Kool-Ade and will probably just go right along with the Antifa thugs.
Just look at the Episcopal Bishop in Washington DC that condemned President Trump instead of the rioters that tried to burn that church by the White House.

Talcum X has called for all artistic depictions of Jesus and his "European mother" to be destroyed since they promote white supremacy. I guess no one has shown him the artistic depictions of Our Lady of Guadeloupe (Mexican) or Our Lady of La Vang (Vietnamese) or Our Lady of Kibeho (Rwanda) or the many, many Black Madonnas in European art. I am an oblate at a Benedictine Abbey whose patroness is Our Lady of Einsiedeln who is depicted as a Black Madonna.
Shaun King, like so many of his followers is so historically ignorant.
