Retired four-star military officers who lambasted President Trump could be recalled to active duty and prosecuted for violating the U.S. Code, military law experts told Just the News.
“Retired officers can't make contemptuous remarks of the commander-in-chief,” said John Dowd, a former Marine Corps Judge Advocate and former Trump legal advisor. “They’re all subject to recall. They’re subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice until they die.”
The pertinent law is Title 10 of the U.S. Code, Section 888, the experts said.
“As part of the UCMJ, governing military law, you cannot use contemptuous words against certain officials, including the president,”

I would do that in a heartbeat. These Lib Slugs that Obama put into our Military leadership MUST pay a price for their Traitorous actions!

There is a solid reasoning on keeping current and retired military members apolitical. A retired officer still holds sway with current troops. You know the rules going in. There is no excuse.

Well, I guess if the USA is gonna turn into a third world country, we need some generals to get involved in the coup d'etat business. Gee, I remember reading Seven Days in May as a kid (and seeing the movie). I didn't realize 50 years later, I'd be living in the movie.

This is really dangerous. If retired senior military officers can openly defy our Commander-in-Chief that could destroy our previously solid control of chain of command, and even encourage certain elelements to attempt a military coup. This needs to be nipped in the bud immediately. I fully support the court martial of these retired officers.

Yesterday, watched an interesting program on You Tube with Jason Goodman. He had as a guest, Diane West, and it was all about the military.

They're all Democrats. Isn't amazing how Democrats all stick together. I wonder what the incentive is?

Call them up and order they do a reenactment of the prostitute bed jumping thing the ‘Rats were accusing Trump of doing. Use it for a training film.

The leftard hubris just shines on through. This is something you don't let slide. Call them up, and after a fair trial, bust them to private and let 'em have 1 yr in the stockade on latrine duty. Make sure all the other perfumed princes get a good, up close, look at what happens when they forget.

What ever would we do without "experts"...
Does anybody think this is because Trump threatened the generals? Or that these 'experts' called a press conference to declare, out of the blue, that Trump could do that? Sheesh. They were ASKED by this shitstirring blog, and their answer was given without the question to make it more controversial. That is the pattern of the 'gotcha' media these days. F 'em.

I'm operating from memory plus anecdotal evidence here, both dangerous, of course, but...
Ulysses S. Grant, in his post presidency years, was dying of cancer, and out of money. He published his memoirs, but still needed money - ran for the presidency again, which would have been a third term.
And out of kindness, Congress and President Hayes placed Grant back on active duty, justifying it by keeping all generals on active duty until death.
Am I correct, or is my imagination over-active today?

How about at least an Article 32 hearing on whether there is reason to consider a reduction in pensions? That would be plenty of fun in and of itself, and would send the message that needs to be sent....sit down and shut up.

I am sick and tired of the left getting away without being prosecuted for prosecutable offenses. Let's see. If you ran for president you are immune for life, if you're a General, you lie, cheat, and violate the law with impunity, without anyone lifting a finger against them. It's time to do what we say, that nobody, that is NOBODY is above the law.

What those retired Generals did certainly justifies an official UCMJ inquiry that will last past the November election. Then it will depend on who wins the election. If the Democrats win the Generals will be given a pass, but if the Republicans win who knows, as the Republicans are pretty wimpy.

Milley, Esper pack your bags. BTW, can we also send Mattis and some other 'oldies' along who feel they know better than the president? Send them to a really rotten place that they have ample time to 'reflect'!!

As I've been saying. Case in point was G.W. Bush calling out of retirement Gen. Peter Schoomaker to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
Most also don't know that Gen. Douglas MacArthur was called out of retirement to become a 5-star General in WWII then once again to win the Korean War.
