Mayor Lori Lightfoot denounces

CHICAGO — Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said the city will not tolerate vigilantism after groups of mostly white men patrolled the streets of the Bridgeport neighborhood on Wednesday night in response to a nearby city protest. Multiple streets were blocked in the Bridgeport neighborhood Wednesday night as nearby protests dispersed. Near West Pershing Road, water gushed from an open fire hydrant as small groups gathered on corners. Some of the men held bats. One wore a shirt that said “All Lives Matter,” one sipped a beer and another waved at an officer as he drove by. Additional groups of people, some armed with bats, lined West 31st Street.

So people who defend their neighborhoods are not the bad people. Just like the unreal lockdowns of people that are healthy and want to get on with their lives. Have these democrat governors/mayors lost their minds. All I can say, you voted them in and you can vote them out. Elections have consequences. People who live in these democrat ran cities and states, you had enough. The first step to bring your neighborhoods back to a better place to live is to get rid of these democrat politicians. Otherwise, live with it.

The last thing wanted are the visuals of any organized resistance to these assaults on police “racism”. This is supposed to be a popular uprising by righteous citizens to cleanse the evils of law enforcement. There is a supposition we are all behind this struggle, as we were versus COVID, Wait for the abuse of the term HERO to begin in this context. “America is coming together.”

Baseball bats? Doesn't the 2nd Amendment apply in Illinois? My neighborhood security weapon of choice is an AR15, chambered in 5.56mm. A Glock 30S in .45 Auto compliments this nicely.

No sorry, the Second Amendment does NOT apply in Illinois...at least to the idiots in high places.." A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." It's plain English, not 'hood rat' English. Lightintheloafers needs to just go get her hair done again, maybe the hair dresser can sneak some brains in while she isn't looking... These riots keep up and you are going to see more neighborhoods blocking access and it won't be with baseball bats...

FTA: taking up arms, that leads to chaos and we’re not supporting vigilantism in the city of Chicago under any circumstances. She and her fellow progressives caused the chaos in this city. A handful of residents in Bridgeport were attempting to protect their homes and businesses from complete destruction.

Who will stop the vigilantes if you dissolve your ineffective police force which hasn't stopped the gangs nor the rioters? I am praying for the "silver lining" that the voters will realize how absolutely stupid dimocrat leadership is and vote them out. Unfortunately in too many traditionally democrat run cities there are no alternatives.

Picking on whites who want to protect their homes and calling them "vigilantes" will get Lori into a whole heap of trouble. Her people had their little steam-venting party and burned their own stores. That's over. Start messing with the citizens who are necessary for your people to live and that spells trouble that you do not want to think about.

I would love to see President Trump announce that good honest people who are tired of this nonsense should pickup and abandon these corrupt cities. Let them die a slow, horrific death. I would think the mayors/governors of these area would wet themselves trying to halt a mass exodus. Only problem would be hordes of libs going to red states and doing the same thing all over.

Brave men, doing the right thing, but a bat is a foolish choice for a weapon these days. A police officer close friend had the sad duty to hold the hand of a dying man who had tried to use a ball bat to defend himself from some thugs at the local convenience store. The thugs shot him twice in the chest, and left. It was my friend's first situation where he held the man's hand, talked to him, urging him to hang on while the ambulance got there. The victim was dead before the paramedics made it. A sobering story, which he told me the following day, and which is still very clear to me now, years later. NEVER imagine that a club or a knife is a first choice weapon. Your enemies are unlikely to be deterred or frightened by contact weapons when they have handguns or rifles.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

Then they turn out to be wildly wrong. When will we ever learn? It reminds me of that old saying which I think was from Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Polling, at least the old-school style, is over. Done. I don’t need to go through a long list of reasons why nobody should take pollsters seriously anymore, but a few data points are instructive.

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. So it is “illegal” for me to invite any of my four kids to Thanksgiving dinner.
