'Defund the police'? The method
to the left's madness

Original Article

Dismantling the police, a measure already proposed in Minneapolis, makes about as much sense as eliminating doctors or farmers, and would likewise lead to pain and death. But if there is method to the madness, and I suspect there is in some Machiavellian quarters, it’s perhaps this: Certain leftists want to eliminate the police because they want to become the police. Or, at least, they want their foot soldiers to fill that role. Oh, there are other motivations, too, ranging from raw, misguided passion to formulaic devotion to a perverse leftist creed to wider efforts to destabilize the country.

The left wants to become the police. Like commissars.

They want a national police force controlled from DC. Wouldn't it be nice to have inner city NYC or Chicago recruited officers patrolling the streets of fly over USA? Of course, their recruitment will be based on social backgrounds, and their orders will be to skip over crime by minorities.

Add 'contact tracing' on top of a centralized police force and now your movements aren't free. A contact tracer can 'quarantine' you based on specious data, with no right to confront your accuser. All of this, since the beginning of Covid, stinks to high hell.

Yup. They want Antifa to become their new, improved police force. Snitch reporting. Contact tracing, Bicycle locks and on the spot beatings. They don't need no stinkin' laws or constitution to know who needs punishment.

How much looting would there be if cops didn't exist? How long would it go on? I suspect less than we've had for the past two weeks. If the police didn't exist, do you think a vandal would be allowed to desecrate the Lincoln Memorial in the presence of armed American citizens? I think he would end up face down in The Reflecting Pool. Then the police would show up to arrest the citizens. I think the cops have shown that they are better at policing than protecting. In fact, citizens have had three unprecedented months of being policed in almost every aspect of daily life. The lady in Salem, Oregon, who tried to open her hair salon got thoroughly policed. Then when rioters announced they would target her, she asked for help protecting her store. Armed citizens showed up. She was fine. So the rioters busted up a mall down the road. (The story was posted here ) A police force that surrenders to a mob is worse than useless. They just get in the way. After two weeks of watching useless cops fail to put rioters on the pavement, I'm done with them. Tell the police to shelter in place and stay out of the way. Tell anyone approaching a business, home, or person with violent intent that they will die if they persist. It's no fun, and civilized people don't want to do it, but no one ever said civilization was easy. As Ronald Reagan once said, "There are simple answers; there are no easy answers."

The Congressional leftists and liberal Democrats are already swinging into action with a bill to reform local police, but the local police can only be truly reformed by the Governors and Mayors in the States and Cities where those police forces are located, as those are the politicians who actually control those policing operations. Notice that the initial pretext for everything thereafter occurred in Minneapolis, a very liberal City in a very liberal State, that has been politically run by leftist and liberal Democrat politicians, some aligned with domestic terrorist groups like Antifa, who are now yelling about institutional racism in the Minneapolis Police Department calling for that department to be abolished. If that police department is so racist for so long, without the leftist and liberal Democrat State and local politicians doing anything about it, they are clearly totally incompetent and were asleep at the switch! Following the killing of Floyd in Minneapolis just about all the rioting, arson, and looting took place in other inner city areas that were controlled by incompetent leftist and liberal Democrat politicians for many years. And whose only answer was to fraudulently blame President Trump who demanded that they restore law and order. As far as the leftist and liberal Democrats in Congress is concerned, the only thing they will do is send as much Federal money as possible to the leftist anti-police local groups around the country, to be skimmed off, or used to further harass the local police.

It is a power grab. FTA: Remember, though, if you’re a power seeker, you attack those whose power you want for yourself. And upon attaining police power, enforcing a political agenda becomes much easier. There will be new 'laws' ala 1984 & Brave New World. They will be enforced with that underlying threat of violence that is part of any governance - however there will not be the protections of our Constitution. I guess they think the social workers can go to a domestic dispute and not get shot by one of the angry parties? Who will police the drunks, the dopers, the robbers & shooters? Gheez - what maroons!

The mainstream media would have you think the riots and looting that have erupted across the country are just spontaneous explosions of pent-up anger over the callous killing of a black suspect, at the hands of a blue-city Minneapolis police officer. Well, I've covered a lot of riots - from Indonesia, to Argentina, to Russia, to East Timor, to Thailand, to Venezuela, plus domestic ones in Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco - as a journalist. The one thing that's always come out in the aftermath is that none of these mass rioting and looting events were ever simple

According to Fox News: New York Times columnist Paul Krugman apologized Friday after he was roasted for floating a "conspiracy theory" that President Trump could have influenced the Bureau of Labor Statistics. President Trump was happy as heck at the news that Michael Pack, his choice for new director at the Voice of America, finally got confirmed by the Senate. It came as a sort of miracle, given the dirty, protracted battle from deep state's Obama holdovers to keep him out. It was so underhanded it involved a last-ditch Kavanaugh-style bid to smear Pack as corrupt if for nothing else to delay his Senate confirmation to eternity. It was deep state at its worst and it failed. Now, what's probably the last solid Obama bastion of deep-state government has toppled. (Snip for tweets) But if you want to know who's howlingly happy

Radicalized district attorneys in cities across America are putting violent rioters and looters back on the streets, and letting other hardened criminals walk. More than anyone, one man is responsible for this outrage: Billionaire socialist George Soros. St. Louis is a case in point. There, prosecutor Kim Gardner let 36 people arrested for looting and rioting go scot-free, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Gardner’s office used the pathetic excuse that it needed “essential evidence” from the police, implying it had none. One wonders how people caught in flagrante delicto could simply be released. The answer is, Gardner is a
