Detroit—General Motors Co. on Friday said it has designated $10 million to support organizations that promote inclusion and racial justice, with an initial $1 million going to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Recipients of additional funding will be determined with input from GM’s Employee Resource Groups and the recently announced GM Inclusion Advisory Board, which will consist of leaders from inside and outside the company. GM CEO Mary Barra will chair the board. Barra was one of nine Detroit business executives on Wednesday to publicly commit to rejecting all forms of racism, sexism and violence and to support reforms

The failure of GM for the last 75 years can be traced to their always putting their customers last, after unions, advertising, and their bureaucracy.

Yeah, keep throwing money at the problem, that ought to work. More violence should rake in even more money.
Today I read that the parents of kids who got free meals at school will receive over $300 per child in food assistance. And BTW you can pick up free lunches at these locations. You have no idea how much free is floating around and delivered. Too bad if you are a white senior pinching pennies.

$10MM down the drain. Know what I could do with that? Something more meaningful than an empty gesture.

All that money will be re-distributed to non-governmental agencies supporting phony baloney jobs for social workers, womyn's studies majors and assorted communist activists. Very little will filter down to the black lives that supposedly matter so much.
GM is beginning to sound a lot like the Twentieth Century Motor Company in Atlas Shrugged.

My Japanese car that was made in America is still going strong. GM has made nothing I've cared to buy for many decades.
I have no desire to see the cost of extraneous do-nothings like inclusion directors tacked onto a car's sticker price. Go woke, go broke.

GM isn't the only cowardly corporation pretending to follow some shifting PC line, but considering their bankruptcy a short time ago, this is absurd.

If I were in charge of lots or corporate money, I would have a class that just stated the facts about racial crime. Blacks are 13% of our population but 52% of charged murders. Whites are 76% of the population but only commit 15% of interracial attacks... blacks attack whites in 85% of recorded cases. Police are 18.5 times as likely to get killed by blacks as to kill blacks. The Harvard study, done after the NFL kneelers killed the national sport, showed that white officers were the least likely to shoot at black suspects. Hispanic officers were more likely. Most likely? Black officers. A real education would do wonders. Futzy, fuzzy, false programs are just a waste.... like converting manufacturing facilities to ventilator production... but don't get me started.

I just ordered a new 2021 Mini Cooper to replace my 2013. Manufactured in Oxford, England. I’ve never owned an American made car. Mine have always been British, German or Japanese. I refuse to support auto worker unions.

I have a wonderful idea. Let's stop this constant trickle of money and privileges to the black folk and give them what they have asked for, a million bucks per person in reparations, with the clear understanding that that's it, no more freebies. Ever.
After the partying is over they will be right back where they started in 1964 with nobody to blame but themselves. I guarantee this outcome.
