Wendy's donates $500K 'to support
social justice' after franchisee's
Trump donation sparks backlash

Original Article

Wendy’s announced Wednesday it will donate $500,000 to support “social justice” groups following backlash over a franchisee’s donation to President Trump’s reelection campaign. “Our voice would be nothing without Black culture,” the fast-food chain tweeted. “Right now, a lot of people are hurting because of blatant racism against Black people. Their voices need to be heard. Period. #BlackLivesMatter. We’re about putting our money where our mouth is. So here’s our money and here’s our mouth. We are committed to donating $500k to support social justice, the youth and education in the Black community starting with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and we’ll have receipts.

Comments:

And yet, Wendy's is owned by "wipipo," and their logo features a white girl smugly flaunting her white privilege instead of a Proud Black Woman raising an angry fist to smash the white power structure. For shame, Wendy's.

Wait.... are they saying the Trump is a racist? Regardless, Wendys is now off of the menu. Not because they support bkack Anericans, but because they support "social justice", and primarily because the donation was to counter people triggered by the Trump donation.

There is a long list coming in to being - a long list of virtue-signaling, Antifa-supported, SJW, etc entities that have just removed any and ALL of our family money going to them - forever. Restaurants, online companies, you name it. I keep it up daily now. It started back when the BLM and others were guilting companies into monetary support - shakedowns. It has just grown and grown, In this new economy we are facing - one of Depression-era losses and not of short duration, with people deciding much more carefully how and IF they will spend what $ they have, it is SUCH a bad move to align w violence and weakness from any corporate structure. Even KFC got in the act. The list is now on our phones and is apparently going to be needing updated DAILY. Even Chicago was begging WalMart not to leave the city. What a project now. Once all the memorials are over for the St. George Floyd, even our choice of cell phones and carriers will change.

Very sorry, Wendy's, but Black Lives Matter doesn't give a flying (expletive deleted) about the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. You will have to give your $500K directly to THEM! Then you will have to do what they TELL YOU to do. Then you will have to do exactly what Rubicon predicted and change your little white privileged (expletive deleted) to a Proud Black Woman raising an angry fist. What is in store for the nation and the "Black Community" when 3 years has passed and they are protesting that "nothing has changed" in spite of your $500K extortion money and some black man has been shot dead while attacking a cop?

The George Floyd protests have become a farce. George Floyd was a good man who was murdered by a bad group of cops and now his memory is being used to seed unrest by anarchists. Justice is being served and the cops will spend the rest of their lives in jail. Now, emotion has over taken reality. Its amazing to see how many people are so freakin weak minded and easily led. They burn your cities down and you still don't freakin get it. People are being had and being manipulated because they're a bunch of morons. Got it..

Trump is NOT racist. We need to have our own LOUD campaign countering the leftist lies with TRUTH!! All the good that the President has done for equality and improving the lives of people of color needs to be known. And we need to BROADCAST the truth about the Republican Party being the true party of equality. We need to DEMONSTRATE that the Democrat Party panders with their identity politics ONLY in WORDS, but never delivers any real policies that help anyone. It is all image and perception but NO action of any significance. We need to show that the Dems only talk big to get votes and to empower themselves at the expense of their constituents. Any actions they do take are just crumbs they throw out to keep the masses quiet in the short run, but it ends up costing the constituents more on the long run. We cannot allow the left to continue to call us "racist" anymore. It is wrong in so many ways and hurts everyone. I know some of us have just embraced the term as a way to blow off the ludicrous charges being made, but it isn't helping. In fact, it is hurting us worse. Do NOT accept the lies in any way, shape or form. We are NOT a racist country and we need to shout it out loud and clear that racism is NOT acceptable and never has been. A small number of ignorant bigots does NOT define us as a people. America has a better record on racial issues than the rest of the world and, unlike any other country in the world, we were FOUNDED on the concept of equality, recognizing that ALL people were created equal. While it took a while to get everyone to buy into the idea, we have ALWAYS strived to be better than the rest. In fact, millions have sacrificed and given their lives to be what our Founders wanted us to be...a free and equal people with the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Do NOT allow the left to rewrite history!! Do NOT allow the left to falsely redefine who we are!! Do NOT accept their false premises....and most importantly, do NOT be complacent about any of it and let them run all over us. We should be proud of who we are and how we see people as INDIVIDUALS to be judged only on the content of their character--Not on irrelevant physical traits. It is the leftists who pigeonhole people into groups and divide us by their categories to set us against each other. The left is obsessed with skin color and other differences and wants to foment hate. We are colorblind and want only unity and love among our fellow American citizens. Please...Make it be known!!! E Pluribus Unum.

Any chance the genuine people who actually care about black people, injustice, and creating a better future for minorities will ever realize that these loathsome virtue signalers are not only doing absolutely nothing other than acting in their own self interest to avoid cancel culture and expand market share, but that their actions only hurt the cause by dividing America and pushing away those Americans who would be willing to compromise and meet in the middle to work out differences? Virtue signaling is a toxic cultural symptom of socialist engineering. It’s the appearance of doing something when you are actually doing nothing. We conservative Americans have an opportunity to build bridges and heal the racial divide by working with, promoting, and investing in minority owned businesses that were just burned to the ground. Small business is the engine of America and jobs keep people out of police custody, puts food on tables, and leads to prosperity and happiness. That should be our focus.

The Passaic County Board of Elections decided not to count 3,274 all mail-in ballots in the 2020 council elections, or 20 percent of those that were submitted. In comparison, the board rejected 10.5 percent of the mail-in ballots in the 2018 municipal election, 4.8 percent in 2016 and 4.5 percent in 2014, according to a Paterson Press analysis of the data provided by county officials.

Its “18 miles of books” have been under lockdown since the pandemic began, but now a new threat to the 93-year-old business has emerged—looters and rioters marauding through the neighborhood.(Snip) Yet on Sunday night graffiti saying “F–k NYPD” and “NYPD SMD” was spray-painted on the Broadway and East 12th Street facade, which was designated a city landmark last summer. “We spent Monday morning cleaning it up,”

Washington, DC, will shutter many of its downtown streets Saturday in preparation for mass protests—just a day after the city’s mayor shone a literal spotlight on her decision to rename the streets around the White House “Black Lives Matter Plaza.” Mayor Muriel Bowser added light projections to the area, shortly after the new moniker was painted in massive yellow letters down 16th Street.(Snip) Bowser, who President Trump slammed as “incompetent,” then posted another view of BLM Plaza. “You awake? Here’s the view from space,” she wrote early Saturday, along with an aerial photo of the DC plaza that’s been the scene of mass

Former President George W. Bush and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) will not support President Donald Trump’s re-election in November, according to a report. The New York Times reports: Former President George W. Bush won’t support the re-election of Mr. Trump, and Jeb Bush isn’t sure how he’ll vote, say people familiar with their thinking. Senator Mitt Romney of Utah won’t back Mr. Trump and is deliberating whether to again write in his wife, Ann, or cast another ballot this November. And Cindy McCain, the widow of Senator John McCain, is almost certain to support Mr. Biden but is unsure how public to be about it because

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday praised former Defense Secretary James Mattis, who, on Wednesday, offered a blistering critique of President Trump as a divisive leader. "Gen. Mattis’s letter was stunning and powerful. Gen. Mattis is a man of extraordinary sacrifice. He's an American patriot. He's an individual whose judgment I respect, and I think the world of him," Romney told reporters. "If I ever had to choose somebody to be in a foxhole with, it would be with a Gen. Mattis. What a wonderful, wonderful man," Romney added. Corrections*

The US National Football League is embroiled in a standoff with President Donald Trump after it said players would be allowed to “take the knee” during the American national anthem in protest against racism. After the NFL announced its U-turn, Trump tweeted late on Friday night: “We should be standing up straight and tall, ideally with a salute, or a hand on heart. There are other things you can protest, but not our Great American Flag – NO KNEELING!”

How will Joe Bide be able to handle presidential debates? Or campaigning beyond his basement? I almost hate to point this out because I do have compassion for anyone facing the mental challenges of aging. (snip) Keep Joe Biden feeding the geese at his lavish estate in Delaware and I will gush with sympathy (snip) despite repeatedly looking down to his notes, he repeats the same basic point three times within 45 seconds (snip) The clip below is even worse. He drifts off into utter incoherence, a classic word salad.

The Minneapolis mayor is asking for federal help cleaning up and rebuilding his city after rioters caused at least $55 million worth of damage through looting, burning, and defacing public and private property. That cost estimate is likely to increase in the coming days as government officials continue to tally the damage done in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Mayor Jacob Frey said according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the state’s congressional delegation are also pushing the Trump administration and Congress for funding. On Tuesday, city officials released an initial estimate of $55 million in damage done to at least 220 buildings.

Amidst winds of change as America confronts its race issue, a reparations resolution dismissed by many as the stuff of dreams, was unanimously passed by a City Council committee Friday and is scheduled to go before the full council June 17. The resolution would establish a “Chicago Citizens of African Descent Reparations Commission” to investigate how one of the most segregated cities in the nation could best make amends for the impact of slavery. Up for discussion by the Committee on Human Relations Thursday, black and Latino aldermen called the resolution timely and necessary, in the aftermath of the cellphone-recorded

California’s Legislature now has a pandemic-battered budget plan: Pray, wait and hope for the best. More seriously, Democratic leaders want to postpone the pain carried in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed spending cuts to meet a looming $54.3 billion shortfall. Both the governor and his counterparts in the Legislature know the depth of the problem: a crashing economy, rising jobless and health bills, and no end in sight for the coronavirus threat. Both are leaning on the thin wish that more federal stimulus money will ride to the rescue though that brewing bailout is stalled in Washington. Thank the Republicans in the Senate for refusing

I’ve been thinking that the US is in a May 1968 moment, but that’s probably too optimistic. A reader who is a prominent Washingtonian (he identified himself, and I verified it; I’m not using his name to protect him) wrote this morning to say that he and a number of people he know are leaving the city for good in the wake of this past week’s violence. He writes, and I quote with his permission: I’m out.

The NFL has been moving further and further toward the political left for several years. Many NFL players and teams openly castigate their fans and denigrate anyone who doesn’t conform to their political correctness. Overall, the NFL has become a toxic stew of identity politics and divisive intollerance. However, the Denver Broncos are taking division up a notch today by declaring if their fans do not stand with their brand of virtue signaling politics, then you stand against them.
