Reparations to 42 Million African American from dem party is more appropriate. They're the ones who treated them like dirt right up until the 60s. Black history month should be teaching the black about who was the dominating party in the south during the KKK days.

They better check their genealogy ... not all today's African Americans are necessarily descended from slaves. Just ask Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

Don't forget this is election season. Promises have to be made for that vote and free money is one of them. Afterwards, you can stab those very same voters in the back and they'll say "do it again, I haven't learned the con yet".

How about the cost of all the stuff they looted and destroyed. Then all food stamps. welfare, and they get college entrance BEFORE anyone else (even if they flunk out cause they are not ready), and all the rest of gov't programs.

Why not go BIG? I suggest a one time payment of $1,350,767.00 for the 42 million AfAms. I mean if you are going to buy votes, then buy votes.

Deducting the trillions of dollars spent since the war of poverty was enacted 60 years ago, the taxpayers are owed a refund. The money was not well spent and ultimately has circled down the preferable money pit hole, creating generations of dependents of the state, and parts of cities that resemble third world countries. No, nada and heck no to reparation payments, unless there is a caveat, that after the payments are made, no more help, that you are on your own.

“Wealth Transfer" from people who were never slave owners
to people who were never slaves
will not solve your covetousness issues Bobby.

So - does that mean that my ancestors who fought and died to free the slaves don’t count as reparation? Who were imprisoned during a Confederate raid for running a station on the Underground Railroad? Just want to understand the boundaries of how much more it takes.

The billions in welfare, Section 8 housing, food stamps, free medical care and baby checks every MONTH aren't enough? Just like most Dems./Libs./Socialists, Mr. Johnson, you need to come down from your Ivory Tower and out of your gated communities into the real world where people who ACTUALLY PAY THE BILLS live, work, worship God, raise their children, OBEY the LAW and love their country live.

If the proponents of this latest reparations shakedown attempt were on the up and up, they would be demanding that the Chinese Communists pay reparations to the US Black “community” for killing many thousands of ancestors of Black slaves by way of the COVID-19 virus, that the Chinese Communists are now believed to have invented and bio-engineered in their Wuhan bio-warfare laboratory, that then got loose either by accident or through some diabolical action by a laboratory worker, and exported to the USA and much of the world from China. The damage that COVID-19 has done to the Black “community” was further evidenced yesterday when it was discovered that even the gentile giant George Floyd in Minneapolis had been infected with the COVID-19 virus.

I've said this before.
If when they take the money, they renounce their U.S. citizenship and leave the country for good, it might be worth it.

Sure thing - after deductions as others have noted.
Let's start with subtracting the cost of the lives lost freeing them from slavery. Then the cost of LBJ's "War On Poverty" followed by the cost of the various riots and looting in the 60s. Then, of course, the tab for this weekend's business including the $2.4 million in Rolex watches and the looted Apple store in NYC along with the various inventories of Target, Best Buy, Auto Zone, etc. along with all the small mom-and-pop stores burned to the ground.
You might be able to buy them all a Popeye's chicken sandwich with the remainder...

Didn't Lyndon Johnson's "War on Poverty" address this? Trillions of dollars were spent--and continue to be spent on these social welfare giveaways. We need an exit strategy for the War on Poverty, not another similar reparations type program that actually creates more social and economic problems than it solves.

How many white people in this country are descendants of slave owners? I know I'm not. Neither are the descendants of most Irish, Italian, Polish, Russian, German, Swedish immigrants. The principles on which this country was founded--that all men are created equal--is what freed the slaves.

Give them all that money and in three years, things will be right back where they are now. They will have some broken down, wrecked Ferarris and Caddy's, some fancy clothes with beer stains down the front and out at the knees, and the money will all be right back where it started.
