Mail-In Votes Discarded, Never Counted in
Baltimore Election Due to Error

Mail-in votes in a local Baltimore, Maryland, election were discarded and not counted due to a ballot error, officials say. On Tuesday evening, voters went to the polls in Baltimore city elections — including the race in City Council District 1 where incumbent Democrat Zeke Cohen faced a challenge from Democrat Paris Bienert. The race, though, ended in disarray when a ballot error caused mail-in votes to be thrown out and not counted, according to the Baltimore Sun: … the State Board of Elections said Maryland’s mail vendor SeaChange failed to correct an error in the ballot title for the council contest.

If the election results needed to change, tomorrow's headline would be "Oh, we found them". In the trunk of someone's car or something.

My county got new machines for this election. The lady choosing the machines went to a meeting where the different machines were displayed. She would intentionally break the machine and ask the representative how to fix it. If the rep didn't know, she scratched that machine off the list.

Mail in ballots are a joke. So easily maneuvered in favor of the counters.

"...and thousands of mail-in votes were thrown out due to postmark issues, missing voter signatures, and missing witness signatures." I've got a lot of problems with mail-in ballots, e.g., ballot harvesting, but why are these problems? If you can't mail your ballot on time, or forget to sign it or have it witnessed, that's on you.

Maryland voters had no choice in the primary election of mail vs. in-person. The hoax virus caused the regular primary to be delayed and made mail-in only. The ballot I got had the wrong date on it, from when the election was going to be held earlier. It was confusing. We were told to use that ballot anyway. There were so few candidates, it was hardly worth it. The envelope is where the signature was supposed to be put. And it clearly did says it must be signed to be counted. But if they had to do a recount, the envelopes must be attached to the ballot to verify its validity. Think there's a possible fraud area there? This whole issue stinks to high heaven.

Rasmussen: Black Voter Approval for Trump

Despite the left’s recent efforts to paint Trump as a racist and blame him for police brutality and the riots, Rasmussen Reports says that approval for President Trump amongst likely black voters is now over 40 percent. [Tweet] Trump received 8 percent of the African American vote in 2016. In August 2019, black voter approval for Trump stood at 26 percent. I am admittedly skeptical of Rasmussens 40 percent approval number, nevertheless, the increase of 14 points from a year ago suggests that Trump’s support from within the black community is increasing, despite the best efforts of the Democrats and the media to paint him as a racist.

Once again, President Donald Trump is being scapegoated for societal problems that he didn’t cause. He didn’t bring the coronavirus to our shores, and he has not created an atmosphere of racial disharmony in this country. Is there anything Trump’s haters won’t blame on him? They’ve been trying to remove him since before he was sworn in, and every time they fail, they find another excuse — from the Russia-collusion hoax to Ukraine to the coronavirus to economic hardship from the shutdown to the murder of George Floyd to the subsequent mayhem in our cities. Trump roundly condemned George Floyd’s murder shortly after it occurred, but that wasn’t enough.

I know I surely do and I suspect everyone else does too. I think being locked up for months has contributed in some ways to the violence of the riots. But it’s pretty clear that if Memorial Day didn’t kill the virus, the riots have now done it in, with just all kinds of people including Democrats now apparently sanction things in the name of protest that just a week ago they would have attacked people for,

She was booked for burger-y. A Florida woman who reportedly spent three months in jail for battering her boyfriend in October attacked the man with a hamburger Monday night, according to a Pinellas County arrest affidavit. Tanya Cordero, 47, denied that she’d “smashed hamburger” into the alleged victim’s face, but police say that when they arrived at the couple’s trailer park, the 39-year-old man “had hamburger in his ear.” The conflict began when the pair argued about whether a window in their mobile home that they share with the victim’s mother, should be open or closed. The victim’s mom owns the trailer. Cordero and the victim have four children.

The economy won’t suffer the worst-case scenario following the pandemic, if the most recent signs are predictive. Employers added 2.5 million jobs in May, the Labor Department reported Friday in a report that shocked forecasters, who expected millions more in job losses. The details of the report suggest that workers who were laid off as social distancing began are beginning to get rehired and that aspects of the government effort to keep them connected to their old jobs are working. “Given that the data for this month’s report were collected toward the beginning of May, at a time when only limited ‘reopening’ measures had begun,

The Minneapolis mayor is asking for federal help cleaning up and rebuilding his city after rioters caused at least $55 million worth of damage through looting, burning, and defacing public and private property. That cost estimate is likely to increase in the coming days as government officials continue to tally the damage done in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Mayor Jacob Frey said according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the state’s congressional delegation are also pushing the Trump administration and Congress for funding. On Tuesday, city officials released an initial estimate of $55 million in damage done to at least 220 buildings.

California’s Legislature now has a pandemic-battered budget plan: Pray, wait and hope for the best. More seriously, Democratic leaders want to postpone the pain carried in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed spending cuts to meet a looming $54.3 billion shortfall. Both are leaning on the thin wish that more federal stimulus money will ride to the rescue though that brewing bailout is stalled in Washington. Thank the Republicans in the Senate for refusing
