Judge Sullivan ripped the
judicial mask off, and
what's behind it is ugly

General Michael Flynn filed a Petition for Writ of Mandate requesting that the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit order Judge Emmett Sullivan to dismiss Flynn’s case, in the face of Sullivan's refusal to do so. (snip) Sullivan apparently felt he was not up to the task of explaining his own legal analysis, so he hired one of Washington’s fixers – Beth Wilkinson. He should have saved his money. Wilkinson’s brief (which you can read here) is a joke. Additionally, Wilkinson has abandoned any pretense that Sullivan is impartial. This is an attack brief against Flynn.

Let Flynn sue him for malfeasance in office, along with the former prosecutors and his previous legal team. No official should be protected from defendants gaining their name and property back if the government has abused their power.

Wilkerson sure torched her legacy fast. Set a new record. Defending the railroading by this judge is beyond the legal pale. Sydney Powell I hope is setting the field to help Flynn sue the judge, the prosecutors, and his former attorneys. The corruption tolerated and practiced by these lawyers should result in prison time for them at worst, disbarment at least. The abuse of their legal licenses is unbelievable.

This pathetic excuse for a judge should be stripped of any credentials he holds as an official of the court and whipped in the public square. He is not only incompetent but dangerous. His law degree should have been stamped "Warning---Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Graduate".

If the House changes sides in November, as I think it will, Judge Sullivan needs to be impeached and removed.

Sullivan does not care about Flynn. Sullivan is defending the Democrat Party from legal exposure for their corruption. Sullivan has been provided counsel and financing to do just that.

A judge is suppose to be impartial, he's there to see that procedures that assure a fair trial are followed. Sullivan was partisan from the words: this court is called to order. He called Flynn a traitor, he believed that Flynn was a Russian asset. After all, didn't the FBI interviewers say Flynn lied? Uh, no they didn't.

The FBI and the DoJ have very reluctantly revealed more and more information about how the Obama administration conspired to subvert democratic elections. Recent bombshell documents prove that President Barack Obama was directly involved in the conspiracy against Donald Trump. (snip) the coup plotters, including Sally Yates, sought to fabricate a reason to sideline Flynn under the Logan Act, 18 U.S.C. § 953. To White House Counsel Don McGahn, Yates and relevant leaders of the FBI passionately argued that the Logan Act criminalizes any difference in policy between outgoing and incoming administrations.

Ret. Marine General James Mattis, who served as Trump’s Defense Secretary, resigned over a year ago, but has apparently been nursing a grudge since then. Last week, he took to the pages of the left-wing Atlantic magazine to air that grievance. Mattis revealed a small mind. His facts were wrong, and his arguments foolish and simplistic. The Democrat media, of course, celebrated the article despite its fundamental flaws. Retired Marine Captain John M. Dowd, however, decided that he wasn’t going to sit there and take that nonsense, so he struck back.

Nothing better reveals the depth of the madness afoot in the land than the demands to defund or completely abolish the police. It’s bad enough for airhead celebrities, something worse for the formerly prestigious New York Times, and downright alarming for office holders, state and federal to indulge the fantasy that thin blue line is all the separates us from anarchy, mob rule, and ultimately a dictatorship spawned by the need to restore order. (snip) there is a real-life experiment in complete withdrawal of police protection that occurred a century ago that is available to learn from. The Boston Police Strike that began September 9, 1919

One of the more disturbing images to emerge in the past few days has been of police officers and National Guardsman kneeling – effectively bowing down – before the mob. These men and women who represent the forces of law and order claim that they are kneeling in solidarity, but what they're doing looks remarkably like surrender. The reason they are doing so is almost certainly because they believe the Big Lie that leftists are selling -- namely, that law enforcement is causing a black “genocide.” While it's true that there is black genocide in America, it’s not coming from law enforcement. It’s coming straight from Planned Parenthood

There is one big… wait, make that yuuge winner in the sacking of major American cities that has been underway since mobs started with looting Target in Minneapolis and spread all the way to Macy’s Herald Square flagship in Manhattan and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Scott Adams took to Twitter to spell it out: I did not appreciate how profitable fake news could be for Jeff Bezos. If the Washington Post can support the protestors long enough, there will be no retail store competition for Amazon. Almost there. I’d give it a week.

Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer has become a laughingstock for imposing draconian lockdown restrictions on her constituents while her own family violates them. Her husband was caught red-handed demanding special treatment because of his wife’s office in violating her restrictions on boating and use of vacation houses, something she first lied about and then tried to pass off as a joke. But yesterday, she topped herself and uttered a phrase that should live on as her emblem of indifference to the suffering of those whom she oppresses. Like the final generation French aristocrats before the revolution, she causally revealed her cluelessness of the misery of those she oppresses.

Nestride Yumga is an American citizen who originally comes from Africa. She’s also an extraordinarily brave woman. On Sunday, after one of the worst nights of rioting in modern American history, Yumga, who lives in Washington, D.C., decided to see the protests/riots for herself. Contrary to what we’ve been told to expect from a black woman, though, Yumga did not go to support the protest. Instead, she wanted the Black Lives Matter crowd to know that she thinks they’re all a bunch of phonies and hypocrites. As Yumga sees it, they don’t care at all about black lives because they ignore the way blacks routinely mow each other down in Chicago.

It was highly unusual for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to order Judge Emmett Sullivan to explain his refusal to grant General Michael Flynn’s motion to dismiss. That made it easy to miss that it also allowed the Department of Justice the right to file a brief supporting its petition. Sullivan filed his pathetic and dishonest brief on Monday. The DOJ’s brief, however, is filled with devastating facts and entirely on-point legal authority. What makes it even more compelling is its front page, which is weighted with the names of big guns. The DOJ is taking this matter very seriously.

It could be spring and the reappearance of leaves on bare trees and flowers blooming, but I think it’s really because I do not watch network news or read the New York Times, The Washington Report or The Drudge Report. I live in New York City, which has been christened pandemic ground zero, but I’m still alive even though I am at high risk of dying from Covid 19. The Republic is in the greatest peril since the Civil War. A grand coalition of its enemies is taking advantage of the weakness and frustration created by the lockdown of the economy and ordinary life, the protests triggered by video of lethal barbaric cruelty of a then-police officer, and the economic desperation and frustration that has multiplied over a quarter century of de-industrialization and widening class divisions as globalization has transformed our economy. The Minneapolis mayor is asking for federal help cleaning up and rebuilding his city after rioters caused at least $55 million worth of damage through looting, burning, and defacing public and private property. That cost estimate is likely to increase in the coming days as government officials continue to tally the damage done in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Mayor Jacob Frey said according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the state’s congressional delegation are also pushing the Trump administration and Congress for funding. On Tuesday, city officials released an initial estimate of $55 million in damage done to at least 220 buildings.

California’s Legislature now has a pandemic-battered budget plan: Pray, wait and hope for the best. More seriously, Democratic leaders want to postpone the pain carried in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed spending cuts to meet a looming $54.3 billion shortfall. Both the governor and his counterparts in the Legislature know the depth of the problem: a crashing economy, rising jobless and health bills, and no end in sight for the coronavirus threat. Both are leaning on the thin wish that more federal stimulus money will ride to the rescue though that brewing bailout is stalled in Washington. Thank the Republicans in the Senate for refusing
